I have always had trouble finding wide shoes that are actually wide enough for my feet. My left is wider than my right. When shoes say that they are wide, they are actually not wide enough for me.

When these first arrived, I was worried they were too small but after wearing them once or twice, they loosened up and fit perfectly. For this reason, I'd say they are true to size. The first couple of wears weren't uncomfortable either, it was just a little tricky to get them on.

Really comfortable shoe! Casual and preppy. I bought it to wear under my fall dresses and spring shorts. This was my first pair of sperrys and I liked them enough to buy 3 more! However, I had to return the 7.5 and get a half size smaller.. and it still fits a bit loose on the sides. This might be because of the shape of the shoe. Nonetheless, glad I chose to purchase!

I tried on a different sperry boat shoe and determined I was a 7.5. However they fit slight differently and it was just a touch too small. Looking at the European sizes should have been in an 8 in the authentic boat shoe.

I wasn't sure of my size so I went to the local store and tried on a pair of Sperry Oasis. I ordered the original in the same size and it was just a touch too small. I love the look of the original though so I'm planning on re-ordering a half size larger.

I have purchased Sperry A/O Gold Cup Women's boat shoes in the past in size 8.5 in the past for their comfort and fit. These A/O's I purchased in the soft sand leather and found the 8.5 to be way too long. The 8 Medium felt tight around the upper part of my foot below my toes. I returned them for a 8 wide, and was much happier with the fit. I will be wearing them traveling soon and didn't have the luxury of breaking them in.
They are a comfortable shoe and the sand color is neutral and goes with most outfits. The tan sole means you can wear a tan belt to accessorize if so desired.

I like the look of these with the darker soles and sand color uppers though they seem to be a little narrower than usual across the toes. I really would love a pair of navy with white soles or the metallic ones as they also have the softer leather that the sand color has but they do not come in wide. Please take note Sperry, people who wear wide also would like choices. Still I could not do without my Sperrys even if I must stick to one color. It would have been 5 stars if they offered other colors with soft leather in wide.

After I passed the initial break-in phase, these shoes were perfect. They're so comfortable and look great with shorts or black/white jeans. I'm so glad I bought these and will definitely but again.

Great shoe that's versatile enough for multiple looks. Sizing is pretty true -- a 6 women's fits perfectly sockless, but if I were considering a look with socks I might go up a 1/2 size. On the pair I received there's a bit of extra leather near my ankle on the right shoe that's been poking into the skin, but I snipped it off and now it's fine. They were comfy right out of the box -- no break-in period needed for me!

I wear these Sperrys nearly every day because they are so comfortable, especially walking to class in the city! I love the plaid pattern on the inside and the color is extremely versatile (Sahara Leather). However, the leather is beginning to fade a bit and probably needs a quick polish. Otherwise, these are the best shoes that I own!

This shoe is amazing, but i do recommend that if you want these shoes to keep looking new you have to buy a cleaner and leather cream.Also if you have smelly feet, keep your feet clean and use gold bond, idk why but this shoe intensifies the smell, if you can control that then your golden, but this is my most prized possessed shoe and i will never stop wearing this shoe.

I was looking for a great black shoe to walk around Europe in, and found this one! Looks great and is comfortable, but not as comfy as the regular tan Sperry's that I have. The bottom of the shoe is more flat, so I may have to get some inserts with arch support in them. But I know they are good quality and will last a long time.
