These shoes are gorgeous. The heel is a little high for me, but it is wider than some, so it lends a little stability. I wouldn't normally purchase a shoe this high, but it was love at first sight. All things considered, it is pretty comfortable. I wouldn't want to do a lot of walking in it, but it if fine for work. I gave it 3 stars for comfort because of the height and how that pushes my toes into the shoe. But they were way too pretty to give up.

The chima ferg. chukka lows- tan - I thought this shoe is pretty snazzy . It's real thick and comfy. It's perfect for skating. My name's Josh Im 15 years old and I skate everyday it's not raining or my shoes aren't falling apart. I got these on November 10 and they still look fresh. So over all it's a thumbs up in my case!!!!!

Chukka - These shoes are hot. A great look for casual and just to wear around. Although though these fit good I think I could have went a size down. I basically just laced them tighter and they are straight.

I love these shoes - There are some pretty dope shoes. I had them for a while, but they rip pretty quickly. Comfiest thing in the world. A good over all vulcanized shoe.

Chukka Lows - The Chukka Low’s a super amazing shoe. I’ve had them for 3 days, and they skate and feel amazing. Probably the best shoe I have ever owned. They are sorta stiff when you get them out of the shoe box, but other than that, perfect shoe. Made purely for skateboarding. And the next day shipping is so rad, I’m always going to shop at Zappos now.
I'd also recommend:

Vans Chukka low - These shoes are amazing, great for skating as usual with classic vans they come with nicer insoles that you can swap out and put thicker ones in if you want. Sick looking as well. Buy these.
I'd also recommend:
any classic vulcanized vans!

Review - Man, these are awesome! The insoles are so soft and comfortable. They give you just enough padding while still maintaining board feel. Plus, they look so unique. Buy them!

These skate well and look good as well. I can't comment on comfort if used as walking shoes because I've never used them for anything other than skating.

Coming from a history of Airwalks and Etnies, these are my first pair of Vans. I like the overall color scheme: gray herringbone and maroon shoelaces (vs. black, also included). I don't really care for the super padded tongue, but it carries the skater look without being a skater shoe. The rubber sole has a good grip. The fit in the toes is not as comfortable as I would like: the outer part of the forefoot (outstep) is narrower than the natural foot, making my toes feel cramped. Although not a negative, the sole is pretty flexible, feeling almost connected to the foot, which allows good feedback but not much cushion.

I have been wearing Vans for decades, there has been an noticeable decline in quality since having production done in china. materials are ok but the craftsmanship has gone done noticeably. the white rubber band started separating from the gum sole with in a few weeks and has progressively worsen. I have a few older vans that have major miles on the last set that are still holding up better than the last set made overseas.

Overall the shoes are very nice looking, however beware that the gray one's sides may change color. I owned these for a couple of months and the sides are turning reddish for no reason.

The shoe looks abnormally long and narrow for a size 9.0. I guess "good board feel" means no arch support. You can literally feel pebbles and rocks on your feet as you walk. These shoes are very uncomfortable. Too bad because their style is unique and I was really wanting to like them.

DO NOT buy the Denim Black/Pewter color shoes. Within 2 weeks, they looked like a pair of old jeans. The overall style is nice and the shoe is comfortable, but I can't wear these to work anymore because they already look like a pair of old jeans. This was a terrible decision from Vans to put out a pair of shoes that had zero durability. Not happy with this purchase whatsoever.

Love these sneakers, pretty sure this is the third pair I've owned over the past 10 years. They go well with everything and are super comfortable. My only thing is I hate the white laces, so I bought a pair of navy laces and now they look great and basically no one has this combo. Don't copy me if you live in New England, find a different color for your laces.

The first thing to emphasize about the Vans Chukka Low is that it has a very adhesive sole designed for skate-boarding and similar activities. I am using it mainly as a driving shoe since it give such good traction with the car's accelerator and brakes. The second thing is that the thickly padded tongue may come as a surprise, but it is an essential part of the design in that its keeps your feet firmly in touch with the adhesive soles.

I got these shoes in 2010. I wore them for that summer and was unsuccessful at trashing them. I've been wearing them casually since but they're still going strong. Great removable insole that is very comfy and awesome board feel (although I only longboard so I don't know how well they hold up to ollies and kickflips). Overall great shoe, really breathable, I highly recommend it.

This shoe is great. It looks really nice, it has a solid construction and a lot of people are impressed when I wear them. They match anything except for grey pants, so you can also wear them a lot. My only complaint about this shoe is that the suede on the toe, sides, and heel of the shoe gets a little frayed, but that is to be expected of suede.

I think Vans run smaller than your regular shoe size. I'm usually a 12, but had to exchange the 12 for a 13, which fit perfectly. This color combo is different and fun.

Amazing sneaker! My son is 17, wears them everyday, granted, not a skater but is on his feet a lot for work and walking home from school. They now look like dirt but are still holding together!
