Very comfortable and will accommodate an orthotic! I was looking for a comfortable, dressy shoe with a removable footbed that would accommodate my orthotic. This shoe really fits the bill!

Love my Kumfs! I have problematic feet--extra wide, totally flat arches causing severe over-pronation and a very high instep. I'm 37 but thought I was condemned to wearing shapeless, geriatric comfort shoes for the rest of my life. But then I discovered Kumfs and was so thrilled to see they made somewhat more fashionable shoes in XW (and even XXW) width. This shoe was comfy and supportive enough for me to wear right out of the box for several hours, pushing two kids around in a stroller. The heel shape and placement makes it feel so sturdy (no teetering feeling!) and stable enough to walk for miles in, and the strap style helps keep the shoe firmly on the foot while looking dressy and unique. Kumfs aren't cheap, but I'm willing to pay this much and more just to be able to wear nice looking yet comfortable shoes. Please bring more of the cute/funkier Kumfs styles in, Zappos!

Perfect Business Attire! As a sufferer of Plantar Fasciitis, my physical therapist insisted I find a dress shoe (I work in a corporate setting and must wear dress attire most days). Initially they suggested Danskos (which I'm a long time wearer of already) but I stumbled upon these shoes while searching the site. All I can say is WOW! These shoes have phenomenal support, and are perfect for almost all my business attire. My physical therapist was also impressed by the sturdiness of the shoe and the arch support so much so that he wrote down the brand name and indicated he had several other clients who would benefit from this shoe. They are worth every penny!

I love these shoes! My first order from Zappos included a WW pair of these shoes. I have worn this pair everyday since the first day I received them. I love everything about them. They are easy to put on, so comfortable, and cute. I teach and am able to wear them all day long. I was skeptical about paying so much for a pair of shoes, but then I thought about the umpteen pairs of shoes I've bought that I wear once and because my feet end up hurting so bad, I never wear again. I highly recommend these shoes.

Awesome! I just got these this morning and I can't believe how comfortable the soles are. My hiking boots can't beat them on arch support! The toe box is just a tiny bit narrow (I ordered wide, but I've got hobbit feet). I'm sure after they stretch out for a couple of days, these will be comfy enough for everyday wear with jeans.

Kumfs seem to be running larger (needed a 1\/2 size smaller) and not quite as comfortable as they used to be. Still they are more comfortable than most dress shoes.

Finally a dress shoe for my problem feet - I've tried a lot of shoes (thanks to Zappos), but I'm keeping these. The cushioning is extra thick, the arch support is firm - something I need. The heel is set back, giving my foot a long and lean look. The strap (with velcro) keeps it all secure. The shoe is a little long - I need to use heel inserts in the back of the heel. At first it felt a little tight, even though I ordered an XW, but it has conformed to my foot after a few wearings. I normally wear a D width. My feet don't hurt after a few hours of wear. I'll be checking out Kumpfs in the future.

Great shoes for women with problem feet - Very comfortable, roomy. Easily accommodate bunions. The removable lining allows inserting orthotics and they look a lot better than other "comfort" shoes! However, they are a little longer than the 7.5 I expected and the heel is narrow, which makes the orthotics slide forward a little. Also, a little more decorations would be wonderful. We, "problem feet" women, already got used to the shapeless unadorned boxes!

Kumfs for performance - Purchased this shoe to do a lot of walking on concert days during a 10-day concert tour of Italy. Must be comfortable, must look nice. Wore them for 12 hours the first day I tried them here in the US, and they were very comfortable. My only disappointment, as noted in the questions, was that they are narrower than regular sizing--would look and feel nicer if they were wider.

I bought these shoes from a local store in another color and wore them last night for the first time. I walked about 40 city blocks in these brand new shoes and they didn't rub my heels or pinch my toes. I felt the support of a lace up shoe but had the high style of a designer shoe. As a long time wearer of Mephisto shoes these are a sure winner. They fit true to size and have a good arch support. I couldn't believe they were brand new shoes.

I've bought Kumfs for nine years and know my usual size, at least in the ones made in New Zealand. This product is different, my usual size turned out to be one whole inch too long in this shoe. I had ordered one width up after reading the reviews and the width was perfect (mind you, that's with ordering one width more than usual). I then ordered a second pair one whole size down from usual, but the same extra wide. Still a half inch too long but with perfect width. Got my old Kumfs Dee's out and held Babette sole to sole with them. This 38 Babette is almost .75 inches longer than a 38 Dee! I won't be bothering the good people at Zappos for yet a third pair. Can't fault them, great fast service, but this company has big quality control problems that need to be addressed with their new manufacturer. Sad to see it happen to a previously great shoe.

Wow! Even ordering the Wide width, they are too tight. Must be how the toe box is designed. Back it goes.

The shoe was quite comfortable for about two weeks and then they started to hurt. I tried placing an insole in the shoe and that did not help. I wish I could return them, but I am sure it is too late.

Loved from the first minute. I have wide feet, high instep, & plantar pain and these are comfortable for dancing! Use for ballroom dancing.
