These shoes are not only adorable, they are well made. I've bought two pair for my grandkids (who have wide little feet) they fit perfect. The looks are great because they give you the appearance of lace ups with the convenience of a velcro closure. I highly recommend.

DC shoes are the best quality shoes and fit both my sons the best! Even without buying the wide they fit wider than most of the other shoes out there! And the velcro closure is a bonus - they can easily put the shoes on themselves! I would totally recommend paying the little extra as they will easily go through 2 or more kids! You'll definitely get your monies worth on these shoes:)

This is my son's second pair of these. I LOVE that fact that they have an old school lace up look, but it's really velcro. He's 22-mos-old and can take off and put on his shoes all by himself. I wish DC Kids would make the velcro closures in larger sizes. My son is still young, but has big feet.

This was for my wide foot 1 yr old -
To be honest I really like this shoe for my 1 yr old. He has a very wide foot and cannot fit other types of shoes that are in style. I think he likes them because he is walking in them compared to other shoes. He has been walking since he was 8 months so his feet is very wide and we have been buying these shoes for him ever since we find out that his foot is wide. I recommend this shoe for any stylish 1 yr old with a wide foot. Thanks!

My grandson has a very wide foot. This shoe fit him perfectly and met the "coolness" qualifications of his parents. The velcro closure is great. My daughter actually thought the shoe strings were functional initially. Very cute shoe.

If your son or daughter has a wide foot, this shoe is great! My son cannot fit into any normal width shoe, but these are perfect. I love the look of laces with the velcro strap. The only down part is if you have black or brown and your child plays on a pebbled playground, they get dirty pretty quickly.

We have had a very hard time trying to find shoes for my son, and these shoes are great for chubby little feet and are super cute. But because these shoes are so wide, they look a bit silly with straight leg jeans. Also, the velcro on one of the shoes came unsewn within one month of wear. I contacted Zappos about this defect and they sent me a new pair of shoes with in two days, no charge. Because we had issues with the velcro we opted for the same DC shoes with actual shoe laces. We love both pairs!

I have had two pairs of these shoes now. And after a month or so on both pairs the velcro comes off the shoe and my sons foot comes out because they tongue doesn’t stay attached. I would recommend only buying them with the shoe laces. DON’T NOT BUY THE HOOK AND LATCH!!! Such a disappointment, we loved those shoes!!!
