I haven’t worn them all day yet, but they feel great just around the house trying them out. They have great arch support and they are wide enough. I have a lot of trouble finding shoes wide enough for my feet. These don’t pinch at all.

I have been buying these shoes since 2003 and have worn them on hikes all around the world. I purchased another brand last year and tried to like them but there was no comparison. I just purchased my newest pair of Timberlands and they fit so well right out of the box (as always). I am a customer for life!

I usually wear a size 8.5 depending on the shoe but when my 20 y/o Vasques fell apart on a backpacking trip in the Porkies my fianc and I drove to the nearest town to buy me a new pair of boots. The selection was limited and the sales clerk sold me these in a size 8. They felt a bit snug but I liked them better then the other option in my exact size. I've owned these boots for a few years now and have used them only on rigorous hiking trips. I just finished a long (and painful) hike and took a closer inspection of my boots only to discover they are actually a 7.5! I really like these boots. I just wish that I would have double checked the size as they were obviously in the wrong box. I will probably be buying a new pair in the correct size and selling my current ones to a friend. They DO NOT run small. If anything they run slightly big for those who want to wear extra socks.

I’ve tried on so many hiking boots and these really fit my foot. I like the brown color because I know I walk into some mud!

I wore these as normal winter shoes for 7 years and as hiking boots in the summer for that time. They are just now falling apart - I literally walked through the thick black part of the sole. They've stood up to having crampons attached, snowshoes, walking through salt puddles, summer backpacking trips, etc. They can handle it and feel comfortable through anything.

Now that winter is almost over and I've had a chance to really check out my new boots, I would like to share the following:
1). The boot sizing is true (I wear a 9 B). I could wear a thicker sock without the toe box (my toes) not feeling to tight or pressure on my toes.
2). I was concerned that the higher top (over my ankle bone) would rub and make them sore. It didnt!
3). Prior to wearing out in the snow, I treated my boots with mink oil.
4). The mid-Atlantic had several snows mixed with ice this year, a perfect opportunity to try out my boots. They were awesome. My feet were warm, gortex kept my feet dry and more importantly, I did not slip while outside working!
Next, spring and working in the yard and hiking! Bring it on Timberland!

I got my first pair at the Timberland outlet when I was looking to replace the ones I had for about 15 years. The saleswoman showed me that while some boots were now made and sold for "the look alone" these were true workhorses ( my words). These were perfect! I just got that pair a little over a year ago, and they are still in great shape! I just wanted to have a second pair in the wings in case Timberland ever decided to stop making them! They were comfortable from day one. There is a lot of support, too, coming from a person with lumbar issues. I just love them and can't say enough about them. Perfect for snow or every day hiking.

I started small to get a sense of how the boot fit and all went well. Then went out on a 5 mile hike and never had a moment of discomfort ! They felt as if they were already broken in and made just for me. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and am sending all my friends to the TIMBERLAND website to check it out. Thank you !!!!

Last pair lasted 10 years of Elk hunting. Glad this pair appears to be identical to the last. Can't go wrong sturdy but also light weight for the protection it gives.

I almost kept these, but my protruding ankle bones didn’t like the feel of being confined. I opted for a whole style instead. But these were comfy out of the box aside from my ankle issue (which I believe is me and not the boot.)

Love these boots! I normally wear a 6.5 but I sized up to a 7. Fit perfect with my thicker hiking socks.

After purchasing my initial pair of Chocuras ( about 10 years ago), I could not resist purchasing 2 other pairs as sales came along. Didn't know how long they would last or if they would be changed or discontinued (as often happens with things we love).
Am alternating wearing all 3. Always have a pair in the car, one at the farm, and one clean and dry. As others have stated, they are comfortable straight out of the box. One does need to occasionally treat with waterproofing and , if your wading water, wear your smart wool, because yes, you'll probably get damp feet. They are great otherwise. Great toe protection too.
My first pair finally detached at the heel while I was toeing them off one day. After 10 years and being kept in a hot car/garage, etc., not too shocked. Just glued them back together. Otherwise still in great shape. Please do not change these.
