These were exactly what I was looking for! I usually don't care much for hiking boots because my feet get too hot in them. I must wear them when hiking though for ankle support. I've been very pleasantly surprised with these. I have the support I need yet my feet don't get excessively hot.

I tried several boots and I am completely satisfied with the Timberland Chocorua !!! I love these boots - the fit for my wide foot is perfect and the support is on target. I will enjoy wearing these for a long time to come.

I love the look of these boots! I've only had them fo a week but it rained all day the second day I had them and my feet stayed dry. I even stepped in some puddles to be sure. They were also very comfortable and I didn't have to break them in.

I wanted warm waterproof boots to wear during occasional fall cold weather camping and outdoor excursions. They kept my feet dry and warm all day in 30 degree+ weather. They also kept me warm during my hour long visit to a 20 degree ICE show. I've worn them for 2 years now in a variety of environments, including urban treks and summer camping in 90 degree + weather, usually with wool socks. I camp with Girl Scouts and we're required to wear long sleeves and long pants so yes, I was hot in the boots in the summer, but not miserably so and my feet weren't hotter than the rest of me. These boots kept my feet dry when my clothes were drenched. I love these and hope Timberland keeps making them. My 12 yo son has them on more often than me now so I'm back to buy another pair. In my opinion, you can't beat these for a super comfortable warm boot. They feel like a more substantial version of my running shoes. I bought a 7W and usually wear a 7W in Brooks, Fitzwell and Naturalizer shoes.

These boots run wide if you have a narrow foot, I wear a B width. This is minor compared to its quality. Once you put on these boots feels like you stepped into a cloud. Light, feels like foot is stable from the start, little break in period. Water proof, warm to about 20 degrees. I am a landscaper and wear them year round. Excellent hiking boots. I use these for hunting until it gets really cold. This is my fourth pair. I highly recommend these boots.

I love these boots! This is my second pair. They've supported me while working in my yard, doing construction, and most importantly, while I'm hiking on all kinds of terrain. When my first pair was showing signs of wear, I was afraid that Timberland wouldn't be making the same style, but I'm so thankful that the company knows how good the style is. I hope they're still making them when I need my third pair.

I just bought my second pair, my first pair might be 5? years old and have had zillions of hours of hard use. These boots are MAGNIFICENT. I do easy to strenuous hiking on rocks, through streams, soft earth, etc. Also great with snowshoes and for city sidewalk wear. Fit is perfect for me, I wear 11 medium.

This is my second pair of these boots. I've worn the first pair out after miles and miles of hiking. They're still my favorites.

I traveled across Europe and I wanted a comfortable shoe that would not hurt at the end of the day. I never worried about my feet in these boots. Best shoe purchase in my life for travel. Very light and comfortable. Did not worry about slippery surface when it rained.

I hike at least 5-miles a day up to 20-miles a day. These boots go in any weather. I do waterproof them first thing and when it seems water is getting in I clean, dry and then waterproof again. Due to my slightly strange gait I do wear the soles out on outer front edge but that is due to my gait, not the boots. Very comfortable. I do get one whole size larger than regular shoes to protect toes, etc. during large amounts of hiking.

I bought this boot almost a decade ago and used them thousands of times, so when they finally wore a hole and became not completely waterproof, I decided to buy the same pair again. For the first use, I wore them on a 5 mile mountainous hike, and they were immediately comfortable. They are definitely waterproof (I waded through a river to check).

I wore the boots for the first time yesterday on the magnificent Gaff Trail in Lunenburg NS and they performed beautifully. I had a spring in my step for over three hours on rocks, wood, shale, sand, puddles and more. Sturdy and comfortable the whole way. I don't mind a bit that they lace up and take a minute to put on. The thing I did mind was that in hiking your feet often push forward, especially on the descent and I found myself wishing I had bought size 10.5, not 10. No luck, I came on the site thinking I would just buy a half size up and give the brand new size 10 to my sister--I really like these boots!--but half sizes stop at size 10. Darn. Could you guys do something about that? I think they would sell! And I promise I'll help spread the word that for once a shoe company cares about the bigger sizes as much as the small ones.

Hiking and as outdoor work boots, excellent. It is very hard for a women to find a good pair of work boots when your career is ground maintenance or any kind of outdoor work, horticulture. It appears that companies cater to men.

I'm on my fourth pair in probably 6 years. I love them so much I bought two pair the last time. They are my go to, everyday boot. I wear them for work. I wear them for yard work. I wear them for casual. Basically I wear them all the time unless I'm dressed up, working out or sleeping. I walked in puddles over the laces and stay completely dry. The absolute, only problem I have ever had is with the laces. I have them fray at the instep where the eyelet rubs but new laces are cheap. It would be awesome if you also offered them in black. I love these boots!
