These boots are pretty stiff but I'm ok with that. I love how they look. The tongue is gusseted about halfway up the laces which helps keep water/dirt out but also makes it pretty tight to squeeze on. I usually am a 7.5 but ordered an 8 and after wearing that it was cutting of my circulation so I sent them back for the 8 wide and honestly there's barely any difference in the 8 and the 8 wide. My foot is still really snug in the boot but hasn't cut off the circulation yet. I'm hoping that I can break them in and they'll be good.

The boots looked great and fit well, but there was a defect in one of them that created an uncomfortable bump under the foot. Had to return them.

These are shockingly narrow. I pre-emptively ordered the Wide based on reviews, but even the Wide felt narrow, especially in the toes. I don't get why they don't just list the Medium as Narrow, and Wide as Medium?
I'd also recommend:

The image was different then what i got. I've had timbos before in an 8.5 and never had a problem. These were too tight and small looking. Hope ordering a 9 wide will make it look right% were a couple scuffs on the boot too

I've had these shoes for nearly a year now and I've worn them maybe six times, walking about 3 miles every time because I live in the city. They are still super stiff and going up and down stairs in particular is very difficult. At this point I'm not sure if they will ever be broken in! My bigger concern, however, is the amount of times I've almost fallen down both the subway steps and the stone steps in my apartment building because of the lack of grip on the bottom of these. I don't have that issue with a single other pair of shoes I own and considering the amount of money I paid for these I would expect not to have that problem. I love to go hiking but I don't think I'd ever wear these for that because walking in them is exhausting.

This is my second pair of classic timberland shoes, I wore size 8W (perfect size) and bought exactly the same one. But the new one are very tough and rub my bones. Hope it's because they are new. But now they are very uncomfortable

The opening was so small, stiff and tight it was almost impossible to push my foot into the boot. The tongues were stitched really high up to make them waterproof when laced up. I don't wear heavy socks. They were just too stiff and very uncomfortable for me. Sorry, I have to return them. But they are a very sturdy and well made boot that would probably hold up for a very long time.

I love the designs and i got a ton of compliments, asking me where i bought it and such. However, the second day of wearing it, the foam part starts digging onto my right side ankle. I thought of it as a part of breaking into the shoe and didnt really mind it at first, but every hour became really unbearably painful. It was to the point where i kist started limping. I've got a huge bruise and Im cooling it right now. I mean, the left is completely fine its just a problem with my right. Maybe layering my socks would help. Hopefully.

The black colour gives a solitary look and goes with any outfit. I like the style overall. But it stains your socks and your ankle. After wearing them couple times I saw that my legs and my socks were black. So that's no good... Also it feels very hard. It's hard to move ur feet in them. They dont bend easily. And they hurt my ankles due to rubbing. So overall, I like the style and how it looks but it definetely isn't comfortable to wear and I hope the staining goes away.

The product was a little narrow but not too bad. Also they scuff so easy that it is annoying, I am not going to pay almost $200 for shoes that look bad after a few weeks.

I got these for Christmas a couple of years ago. I wore them once. I would have returned them but they looked like I had them for a year after one time wearing them. They are so tight on the top of my feet, my feet went numb. I had to take them to a shoe repair store to have them stretched since I couldn't return them. Oh and they didn't come with insoles. I think that's a huge issue timberland has. My husband has ordered timberland in the past and they have come with no insoles. So if you plan on getting this I would order a size up, plan on taking a long time to break them in, and check to make sure they have insoles.

I absolutely loved these at first. I wore them walking to class in -20 degree F weather and my feet weren't cold, and also wore they in 90 degree weather on job sites for work and my feet weren't too hot. They are stylish and go with a lot of outfits. I wore them just about everyday for 6 months, until one day when I was walking to class I heard a squeaking noise, and thought it was my backpack. It turned out to be the left boot that was making the noise. I have read articles online that have suggested the problem is the insole, but when I take out the insole, it still squeaks. It so loud and annoying that I do not wear them anymore and have opted to purchase a pair of bean boots instead. Overall, just disappointed.

Really cute boots but leather across the top of the foot is seriously hard. Size 6M was way too narrow across foot; also tried 6W and my ankle was swimming in it. Returning both pairs. Timberland, please make the top of the boot softer!

I got this in both a 9 and a 9.5 w but because I have a high arch I couldn’t get my foot inside either without a tremendous amount of effort. It definitely didn’t feel like a wide (and my foot can sometimes fit a medium, depending on brand, so I don’t need a really wide shoe). Plus it was very stiff and not that cute. Definitely returning.

The boots just seem a bit stiff and clunky compared to my very favorite 10-plus-year-old black Timberlands that finally gave out. My old ones seemed to have a smaller profile, plus they had black patent leather detailing that I loved. Oh well. They're still Timberlands, though, so the quality seems excellent.

Ughh I got the EXACT same ones in the light pink and the 10 tan color felt way too small. Idk what it is but they are so uncomfortable to wear. I can wear the pink ones fine though. Weird.

Frustrated and disappointed. I just wrote a long review about how hard it is to find a 6" lace-up leather boot for women with a wide toe box. These were too narrow, looked cheap, and felt "crunchy" in the leather upper. I didn't really want suede, and didn't really want deep black, so that was 2 strikes against this one already; if there had been any other options anywhere in a size 8.5W with any kind of reliability, I would have taken them. I'm trying to find a lace-up leather waterproof boot that doesn't look so entirely like a giant hiking boot so I can wear it to work. I can't find any wide enough. Men's boots don't come small enough, or look like boats. I have a pair of Timberland Chocura boots (8.5 W) that I have been holding on to for years, and still wear, despite the fact that the gore-tex panels on the instep instantly frayed, and look terrible. I like them still because they are a nice neutral gray-black and go with everything, and are *still* waterproof (and fit!!) The new Chocoruas for women are a dull "camping brown." I'm now turning to Dr. Martens, which does not offer half sizes.
