Purchased These to Replace my Merrell's - I had a pair of Merrell's and became dissatisfied with them. Saw the reviews on these Salomon's and decided with my wide feet to give them a try. These are great shoes. I have flat feet and one thing I really try to get are shoes that offer a rolling motion from the time your heel strikes to the time your toe comes off the ground. These shoes seem to provide that kind of a runner's motion when walking. Even with wide feet, the shoes hug my foot ... on all sides and the heel cup is very positive. I love these shoes ... they are my friend.

1300 miles later they still feel great! I wore these shoes for more than the second half of the Appalachian Trail and they still felt great at the top of Mt. Katahdin. The Montrail shoes I had for the first 900 miles felt terrible after 700 miles. I would buy these again in a heartbeat. I was also using a pair of green Superfeet that were 600 miles old when I bought the shoes.

Very comfortable shoe - although I run exclusively in New Balance this shoe just has a very comfortable feel to it. This is my second pair.

Great shoes! I am really pleased with these. They are sooo comfortable, with great arch support. I have narrow feet & really like the fit. Very breathable too.

Salomon XA Pro - This is my third pair. When the weather is above 30 degrees they are my hiking shoe of choice. Mucho support for a light hiker. The shoes are light and comfortable. N GA trails are rocky and sometimes slick...I just love this shoe and have for a number of years.

I work in an E.R. and needed an upgraded shoe due to knee pain. I'm about to leave for Kenya to work medical missions for two years. I needed a shoe I could depend on to work well in a wide variety of circumstances, from travel to the O.R. suite. I have flat feet. The shoes have a pretty good arch support already, so when adding the Superfeet insole, any arch higher than the blue model was too high and uncomfortable. No complaints about the shoe, it has been good so far, hope it stays that way!

My son loves these - I got these for my 19 year old son who wore nothing but "Fallen" shoes before... Well, there's no going back! He absolutely loves these shoes - they look "cool" & feel "amazing" according to him. :-)

MOST COMFORTABLE SNEAKERS! I have been using the (Salomon's XA Pro 3D Ultra) for several weeks now and I must admit they are the most comfortable pair I have owned. My job requires that I do a lot of walking in a campus of 5 buildings and these sneakers help me enjoy walking now. I have worn boots, various pairs of sneakers on the job, but these are definitely easy on the feet and worth every penny. You can’t be disappointed!

Light and comfy - These are probably the most comfortable pair of shoes I've worn. Best to buy a full size up and wear them with a pair of quality walking socks. These are light shoes though, so they don't have the gore-tex. You can't wear them if it's damp out.

The shoe rules, it's my 3rd pair. Very durable, comfortable and great for hiking/backpacking, even with a fair amount of weight on your back.

Best pair of all terrain - I love my Salomon's XA Pro 3D Ultra, my trail runs have improved, I gotta say traction is superb. Yeah I was dumb enough to wear low cut socks and got a couple of blisters but I got a pair of Adidas Clima Cool socks and bam, can’t stop me now. Oh I forgot to mention that I don’t have to worry about shoe laces coming untied at all. I highly recommend!!!

XA Pro 3D Ultra Wins My Loyalty - I took a chance and ordered these shoes without comparing them with other models simply because they seemed to be one of Zappos' best sellers. They were also not cheap. I figured there must be a reason for the higher price. After replacing the flimsy inner pads with my own upgraded and stiffer arch support aftermarket pads, from the moment I stepped into these shoes, they were a part of me. The first couple of days of trail running, they felt a little hot inside the toe box, but I guess the fabric must have needed to stretch a little bit because I soon felt like there was a cool breeze on my toes as I ran. I always break my shoes in with a dusting of baking soda a couple of times a week. After doing this a few times, I found these shoes to be as comfortable and reliable as the best pair I ever had. The unorthodox lacing system is really great. At first I thought, what the heck is this? Within a few days I was saying, "Wow!" - no more tedious, precise lacing and tying. You just pull up the top drawstrings, tuck them inside their little over-flap on the tongue, and away you go. If those hard little strings should ever break, I guess I'd have to send the shoes back to Solomon because there is no way to replace them yourself. Other than that and the irritating fact that all shoe manufacturers put a pair of cheap liners in expensive shoes, these Solomons are great. Would I buy another pair? Absolutely.

Fantastic shoe - I run down and back up a particularly gnarly trail here in Hawaii with my dog Kobe. This shoe has been a god-send. Its light, very stable, the drawstring laces work amazing and so far they have withstood the onslaught of viciously abrasive lava rocks. They're a massive improvement over my old Asolos, reducing injury and keeping my feet cooler in the process. Salomon Rocks (the rocks)!

Good To Go - Outstanding pair of shoes. Felt good right out of the box and the craftsmanship is superb. I would recommend Salomon products to anyone.

Just what I was looking for - I am very pleased with my recent purchase of Salomon's XA Pro 3D Ultra. They are comfortable, true to size, excellent on the trails and very stylish.

Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultras - This is the third pair of Salomons I've bought. As before, I'm very happy with the quality, looks, and fit. I'm even happier with my new shoe store "ZAPPOS". Excellent service and Customer Support. You people deserve an Oscar. I've been around the block a few times and I can honestly say your company has been the best buying experience that I have ever had.

Best All-Around Shoe - This is my third pair of this model. The lacing system is second to none and they have never broken! Excellent out of the box arch support for medium arch; hour glass shaped profile allows for your foot to swell during exercise with no discomfort. When you retire them they make a great kickin' around shoe.
