The best-looking, most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. At first I was hesitant buying these because of the price. I bought them from a department store in Amarillo while I was visiting my mother. I had only taken one pair of shoes with me for the trip down, probably all I needed but while in the store looking for socks I wandered over to the shoes. I had developed a slightly painful porokeratosis (clogged sweat gland) next to my big toe on my left foot and hoped I might find a shoe with a little larger toe box for comfort sake. I tried these on, bought them without hesitating and two weeks later bought an identical pair through your store. So there! Josef Seibel has my vote for my shoe wardrobe. And Zappos had the right price. Plus, Zappos got them to me in two days! Thanks Zappos.

Seibel = always good - Seibel shoes are my favorite; Ecco runs a close second.

The soles on the Walt and Vijay are too thin. What happened to the thick rubber soles on the older Josef Seibel shoes? These shoes have soles that are too thin and slippery. I will purchase no more of this brand until quality is restored.

I bought a pair of these about a month ago. They look great and they\'re very comfortable.

I was looking for something closer to the dressy end of the spectrum than my usual fare and picked these based upon their simple appearance and a positive experience with Seibel sandals in the past. The Walt's are light, incredibly comfortable out of the box, and casual enough to be really versatile. The only question mark might be their durability but their light construction also makes them my new favorite driving shoes.

This is one of the best purchases I've ever made. These shoes are wide and comfortable. I could wear them for 12 hours without taking them off.

Great walking and business work shoe. The rubber sole reduces the shock on the heel.

Great Seibel Walts - These shoes are great! They are comfortable the moment you slip them on and each time after. I would recommend these to those who have to work on hard surfaces at work but are required to wear a dress shoe.

I have yet to find a shoe that felt as good from the start as the Clarks Duke. That shoe is discontinued, sadly. This one is the closest so far, even though it required a few days of break in before it felt really comfortable. Also, the soles are pretty squeaky on the painted concrete floor I walk on most of the day.

As advertised. I usually order a half size larger shoe as I have a wider foot and it fit well so it comes a little wide out of the box. Hope it holds up well as it is a very light shoe. Good looking reddish color that stands out from your typical browns.

I like the color and style of this shoe. It's quite light and pretty comfortable. Not a great shoe if you have high arches-- no real support there. I'm not sure yet if the light weight will equate to low durability. I have noticed that the leather gets wet and darkens no matter how much Wet Pruf or polish I put on the shoes. I'm not sure if that's because of the type of leather or the process or what?

Very comfortable shoes. They are a little wider than I would prefer (I have a narrow foot). European sizing is always a mystery to me.

This shoe fits really well. The toe box is extremely roomy and the shoes are very light. Unlike other shoes which tend to slip off the back, these are so light and flexible they move up with the foot with no resistance. They did take a couple of days or so of breaking in. The soles are very thin. You can feel stones through the sole. However, the shoe is very stable. As far as looks go, they are more retro -- they look like the shoes my school principal used to wear in the 70s. I found them quite ugly and wanted to return them, but my feet are weird (very wide in the front and narrow in the heel), and there are very few shoes that fit well and this is one of them.

Some surprises, but great shoe - Surprised at thin leather (for a cold weather NE person, this is important). Also, the front part of the shoe looks a lot wider in person than online (duck-like). The color when new is red-brown. After wearing for a couple weeks, have gotten used to the shape of the shoe and the color has darkened to more brown. Overall great shoe, fantastic comfort.

One thing shoe makers do not include in sizing is how tall the shoes are. If you have arches that are on the high side these shoes will not work. They will chafe the top of your feet. That is regrettable because they are nice looking shoes.

I really liked these shoes. They were extremely comfortable. Unfortunately the soles wore out well before the rest of the shoe. I tried contacting the company and they said they do not offer resoling. I also took them to a local shoe repair, but they said they couldn't fix them. Seems ashame to toss them.

I love these shoes, this is the third pair I have purchased as the style and comfort last over the years.

Fits well

The fit was just a little too loose for my foot. However the style was European (which I like on casual shoes) and the color was very nice. Just regret that I had to return this shoe. I like Siebel shoes and have worn them previously and they generally fit well and are comfortable. The leather was nice and smooth.

These are great, great shoes. Excellent padding and support, they look great, and fit perfect on my wide foot! May need to go down a size if narrow feet, but I love them as is.

Great fit, wide for a ‘medium’, but I would normally order EE so these were great! Very, very comfortable. Keepers.

I love the shoes. I hated to discard my last pair of Josef Seibel shoes, but after 15 years of day to day wear and many trips abroad it was time to move on. The shoes are very comfortable and lighter than I thought they would be. The soles squeak some, but it does not bother me that they do. I am very happy with them and expect to enjoy wearing them often.

So far after wearing about 5 hours, the fit of the shoe is the closest fit to Birkenstock Memphis in regard to the wide toe box. I have tried most brands and widths and until now, none have worked. The Birkenstock Memphis is great if you need a wide toe box yet they certainly don't look good with a suit. Plus the birkies have great arch support. The Walt is also considered a casual shoe but way more attractive with a suit. However the arch is not apparent and I may need to insert orthotics. Time will tell on that issue. But so far, I'm happy with the shoes. I would have ordered black but Zappos are either out of them or won't be carrying them them anymore. If you have similar foot issues requiring wide toe box, please mention what shoes have worked for you.

Best dress/casual shoes I've ever owned. Will buy this brand again!
