Foots -
This is the third pair of the same style shoe I have purchased. Without other words, I love this shoe. (Also, it is one of the only boat type shoe that is big enough!)

Best Pick From a Long Search -
This purchase was the end of a long search for a boat shoe that would accommodate the high bridge of my foot; something that is seldom figured into most shoe designs which address just length and width. I had hoped that the upper sides would close more over the exposed tongue of the shoe when the laces are drawn, but I suppose one can't have everything. Overall, the shoe feels good and looks good. The price is a little on the high side, but not unreasonable.

Good fit -
It is hard to find shoes in size 14 narrow and these fit just right. Will buy again.

Just the right shoe with jeans, khakis, shorts, or for a casual Friday.

Zappos likes big feet!
My teenage son wears a size 14 EEEE. This size just doesn't exist in most stores. Zappos not only displays the most brands that carry wide sizes, you make it easy to find them with easy sorting. I tell my son to sit down, sort through, and he has so many choices!!! He can find a shoe that not only fits, but that a 15- year-old thinks is cool! And better still, the shoes arrive the next day, and at a reasonable cost. I am a fan and have been shopping Zappos for years, not only for casual wear, but athletic shoes as well. :-)

Dunham deck shoe -
Nice shoe, very cool and soft, I'm getting ready for the boat season to begin, and they should be broken in enough for sock less wearing. I do like the thickened heel, better stability.

Great shoes! Very casual and easy to wear -
Decent support for a boat shoe... breaking it in was a short and comfortable process. Looks great and besides, where else are you going to find a boat shoe in a size 17? A note to the folks at Zappos: You have wonderful service and your shipping and return policy is the most accommodating that I've ever experienced. I'm never unsure about purchasing from your site because I know that I can return anything I don't like without being hassled, which is very reassuring for a person with large feet that can't shop for shoes in most places. If I had a complaint to make, it would be that these types of shoes sell out too quickly in my size! If Zappos was able to procure more casual shoes from Dunham in a 17D, it would only be good for business... there is certainly demand! I remain a loyal customer and constantly refer my family and friends. Thanks again for a great shopping experience.

Four stars due to the inner lining only being patlrtially leather lined and having a low quality insert. Safly no one seems to make shoes to the same standards used when made in USA.

I'm thinking this new pair will stretch out enough to feel "right" like my old pair did. I am impressed to get the shoes next day - that was unexpected, and thank you!

Super comfortable right out of the box. However was disappointed that they were more a nubuck than leather which I wanted. Will wear them in the fall. Again, very comfortable and true to size but not a warm weather boat shoe.

Loved the comfort and looks of the shoe out of the box. I wore it on a 2 week walking vacation, and then as a daily wearer. I've worn out the sole in 5 months. I really don't know what is expected of daily wear in a boat shoe, but I am surprised the sole is worn through the top layer of rubber. Maybe this is the norm for boat shoes.

Good looking and wearing shoe. Felt true to size and true to width. My size 14B shoes are very comfortable and well made and they fit my narrow foot just right. I would recommend this shoe for casual wear with khakis or jeans.

This Dunham Captain is a good looking boat shoe. It has mesh panels on sides for ventilation, and drainage. There are also holes in sole for drainage. I haven't been on a wet deck yet, but bottom feels like it will grip well. I would like better arch support. Something that I hadn't thought about before is that this shoe has 3 eye lacing. My last boat shoe was a 2 eye. I could slip on the 2 eye, but need to untie this new 3 eye laced shoe. I have very wide, flat feet. It is very hard getting a shoe to fit. I ordered 3 different shoes from Zappos to try on. This Dunham Captain is a 4E, and fits great. Within one week of getting the 3 pairs, I was able to return 2, and received credit back right away. I wish I had heard of Zappos a long time ago. It is a company with products, and service that I plan to use again. In fact now I am looking for a good walking, cross trainer, any suggestions?

Pretty good shoe - This shoe fits and wears well, although it feels about a half size larger. Would have rated it excellent if the insoles were a bit better – you have to wash them if you wear your shoes without socks.

Very good shoes -
I needed replacement shoes for some old Rockports. I discovered Zappos, did a search, and was thrilled to see multiple options in 12N.
These shoes are good looking, light weight, and seem well made.
Comfort is good. I've had them for 3 weeks now. The tongue needs to break in yet, it rubs the top of my bare foot somewhat.

Dunham Boat Shoe -
Once again expert service from Zappos - they sent them to my hotel ahead of me when I needed them for a trip! The only place I buy shoes.
The shoe is comfortable, but a little different looking from a normal boat shoe - wider toe box, kind of a waxy finish (waterproof).

Sturdier than most boat shoes -
I find boat shoes to generally be no more than glorified slippers. These shoes, however, have a thicker sole, so they come close to the comfort of a sneaker. I wouldn't run a marathon with them on, but they're comfortable enough overall.

Never have bought this brand before, but they had quite a few positive reviews, so bought the black Captain. They were on ‘sale’ for $69. Now, I am a boater, and I have always bought Sperry - familiar with the quality, construction and wear. So how do the Dunhams compare? Not very well. The construction is far inferior to the Sperry, the sole is harder and not even close to skid resistance, the lining is obviously not intended to get wet, and wearing these for the first time, getting wet, my feet turned black. All at a price that is only $10 or so below what the Sperrys cost on sale(and they are always on sale). So these will be used but probably not as deck shoes

Look nice but don't feel good -
I have diabetes and my feet are sensitive. These shoes hurt the ends of my toes. The end of the shoe is very hard. Unfortunately, when I first wore them around the house they felt okay. Then when I wore them outside they started to hurt. I cannot return them because when I wore them outside the soles were marked up.

It's not a very reliable show very uncomfortable and the sides ripped in less than 4 months. I would not recommend these shoes.

I'm on my second pair. The first ones I returned. Hoping, because I love the shoe, it was a one off problem they make a loud snapping noise when you walk. It starts after a couple of weeks of wearing. Sure enough the second pair started doing the same thing, only when I walk on tile surfaces. It's very frustrating as I said I love these shoes. Now they are retired to my closet.

Very comfortable shoe.
Design is bad though. Because the leather is connected to the sole with a mesh, the shoe is only good for a few weeks of wear.
