I really love these sandals. This is the second pair I have bought. My first pair lasted for years and have just now begun to wear which is why I bought this pair. They fit a little bit more snug than my last pair but I am sure they will stretch a bit as I wear them. I also love the color of these.

I just got these today so I can't review their long term effectiveness. I got these for our upcoming trip to Costa Rica. Other reviews noted the small opening being a problem and yes it is a thing however I have a smaller foot (6.5) so it wasn't too big of an issue for me. Once they are on they fit great. I ordered a 7 as reviews suggested and I feel like there is wiggle room at the top of the shoe, probably half an inch or a little less. My foot fits comfortably in the shoe. I am noticing the right heel strap is slightly irritating my heel- hopefully with some break-in that will go away! Left shoe feels great - no rubbing or pinching. I like that you can adjust the heel and top - though my foot is so small that I have them tightened all the way so they are snug. Support feels good and some has good grip. Will have to do some walking in them on the treadmill tonight and see how they fair. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

I like the style and they are comfortable, I may try a 8.5 next time.

I needed a shoe for short, side hikes on my upcoming Grand Canyon backpacking trip. I purchased these based on the reviews of other customers. I have a very narrow, flat foot, so these are a bit roomy. The elastic tie on the top of the shoe was easy to cinch up for a snugger fit. I've never worn a shoe like this before, but once I got used to it, felt it was quite comfortable. I'm saving them for my trip, but I see where they could turn into my 'throw on and go' shoe- beach, boat, walk the dog go-to.

I have a pair of these that are around 9 years old, also bought from Zappos. They've been superb, so comfortable, but now the tread has worn away. I ordered exactly the same size, and they are way too small. I think I have to order a full size larger than 9 years ago. Which is strange and makes me wonder what else has changed...

These seem like they would be a great hybrid between an hiking sandal (like a Keen) and a trail runner. The added security of the heel cup makes them feel much better to me than the Keen style. However, I didn't listen to Zappos recommendation to order a half size down (because I NEVER wear and 8.5) and I should have - the 9 was too big! Longer in the toe and with a very wide toe box. Still think they are cool looking shoes - though the holes over the toes look a bit weird to me - so I might try them in the 8.5 after all.

I found these shoes so difficult to get on the first time at least. They are tremendously tight in all areas. Thus the 4 stars and not 5. Once they are on, and even with a shoehorn I had a very hard time, they are very comfortable. But why are they such a bear to put on in the first place? The shoes are very stiff and perhaps once I have worn them in a bit they will be easier to get on and then I will be much happier with them. I like shoes I can slip on easily. I had to fight with these to get them on, such a struggle. But I guess worth it because they are terrifically comfortable once I succeeded!

These were OK from a comfort perspective, but they are very heavy and chunky. I sent them back because I'd prefer a lighter style.

Beautiful awesome shoe but like most shoes, toe box not wide enough. Last two toes rubbed up against the inside of the shoe and I had red abrasions on my toes.

Second pair as have worn the first out! I love these Tevas! They give support to my flat feet. I will be using them as a second pair of shoes on the Camino.

I was excited to get this shoe but the shoe did not allow me to get my one foot in the shoe because I have a vein problem in that leg which makes the foot swell. I had to return them.

I was able to fit my orthotics in these shoes, almost. Everything was perfect -- length, width, heel, arch support, but my toes were too squashed. I walked on them, hoping to increase flexibility in the toe box, but these are rigid, hardy shoes and would not give. Sadly, I am returning, but, thanks to Zappos, and all the informative reviews, I'm honing my search to brands more likely to succeed with my difficult feet. Size 5.5, narrow heel, mid-sized bunion on one foot, requiring a spacious toe box, collapsed arch on the other, so orthotics are a must to save my ankle and knee. Onward!

This Teva sandal was exactly what I wanted. I kayak often and needed something to wear in the water as well give support when walking. This did both! Thanks TEVA!

Extremely well made...will last years with plenty of wear. Sadly, I had to return because the piece at the back heel was stiff and rubbed when I walked. Might be fine with socks, but I was looking for something that would do fine in water or on land.

I love my Tevas! I wear them walking hiking working in the garden. They are a little heavy and clunky but so am I! I need extra support and a stable base after a stroke... these give both.

Needs a heel tab for tugging the shoe on and a break away opening in the sock. Tight ankle sock was very difficult to get on because the strap is only for tightening not a functional loosening strap.Considering taking to a shoemaker to cut open the sock in back like Keen... Which are longer and and narrower instep wider toebox in same size.

Purchased these sight unseen as the name brand was recommended by a shoe specialist. I am dealing with arthritis in my feet along with plantar fasciitis (PF) in one foot. I walk a lot and often times in areas that do not have a paved path and where there is water. Because of the elements, I prefer the security of a closed toe. I had been wearing Keens for years and had no complaints, but now with the foot issues I'm experiencing, I needed something more. The Teva Omnium fit the bill; mainly because they have room for orthodics. I didn't need my full foot orthodotic with them, but I did add a 3/4 heel/arch support because of the PF. If I wasn't dealing with that, I probably wouldn't have had to add anything. I wore them all day on long weekend holiday in Tucson and went on many impromptu, albeit short hikes in the foot hills and was impressed by the grippiness (is that a word) of the sole. No heel pain whatsoever! I usually wear a 9.5, but based on other reviews, went with a 9 and they fit perfect. I have not worn them in/thru water, so I can't comment on that. All of the different buckles and such was a bit of a pain at first, but I got used to it. If I hadn't been happy with how my feet felt walking in them and after, I'd have probably felt differently about that aspect, but so far, I am very happy with this purchase - and as usual, Zappos was a dream to do business with.

This is a half size larger than I would normally order, and the toe box and footbed is really wide. Still, the cut somehow just doesn't work for me on the right, and I loosened everything to make it easier to get in and out of. The heel feels like it would rub when hiking. and Limited arch support for my feet. So sorry...

Right out of the box, no "breaking in". A little easier to get on would be nice though.

I bought these to replace my beloved Churniums, which Teva has discontinued. The Omnium is a little more rugged in design, with more support, but still has the soft shock pad sole. I read in another review here some comments about the small "dots"; while the tiny nubs are noticeable, I don't find them uncomfortable. Overall, I don't think the Omniums are quite as welcoming as the Churniums were, but they are comfortable and may be more durable. I wear sandals probably 4-5 days a week in the summer.

The best feature about these shoes is the wide toe box. I tried a couple of athletic sandals from another brand that were just not wide enough for my wiggly toes. I do wish it was a little more sandal-like and not quite so solid, especially on the heel. I have to wear a band-aid on my left heel to keep it from rubbing. Hopefully eventually this will not be the case.
