Wear them all the time in the summer for everything. Biggest pro is the piece in the back means on dirt or pebbles things don't get inside. Comfortable with socks well into fall.

i have had about 5 pairs of these. I have a 100 lb dog to walk and I need to have a sturdy shoe with support to walk him. My only negatives that it doesn't come in any other colors any more.

I wear these with ankle medium thickness socks for day hikes where I cross water. The socks prevent blistering or debris from irritating my feet. So far, walking in the wet socks for a few hours is fine. They are a bit stiff, but I feel my feet are protected the way they surround my toes. I'm buying another pair for my grandaughter. I have a very wide foot, but a normal/narrow heel, and these fit surprisingly well. I wear a 9 in a hiking boot, but an 8.5 in these. Not sure how comfy they would be for a long, challenging hike, but for a few hours they are perfect.

I hike and walk allot. I live in northern california valley. These shoes allow me to wear short socks and my feet don't get hot. This was my 2nd pair. I'm putting them away to wear when I wear these out.

Although, it is obviously a water shoe with the openings in the body of the shoe, it feels so solid, supportive, and substantial, I could easily use it as a hiking shoe, providing I was not bushwacking into thorns and brambles. Love, love the shoe.

They feel comfortable as soon as I put them on. The arch fits my foot perfectly, no break-in time. They are worth the cost for a good pair of shoes. I wouldn't have bought a pair again, my third pair, if I didn't enjoy wearing them.

I have worn out my 1st pair and glad to find you still carry them! 1st pair was peachy color. Soles are slick and showing much wear & tear. Gel insoles inserted and I'm good to go around the house. Love these!

I ordered a half size up, as recommended--good idea. Lots of ways to adjust for a good fit. Once I adjusted the velcro at the heal, the fit was perfect. These were purchased for a return trip to Rome (which, unfortunately, we've had to postpone), where we do a lot of walking and where a different brand sold by LLBean did not hold up on the last trip. Purchased Teva brand because I've gotten good wear from their hiking boots.

I love these sandals I can stand in these for 12 hours comfortably. They wear great and are wide enough for toes to do their job!! This is my 4th or 5th pair over the past 10 years and I wear them ALL the time!
