I didn't want to review them until I gave them a determined try - on a nine day canoe trip in the Boundary Waters. They performed well and passed an important test: when I was knee deep in swampy, thick muck they were not sucked off my feet. Great support for portaging packs and canoes. Good 'n Solid.

Best shoe I ever had for walks, hikes, beach, boat until...walking on Tybee Island Georgia the soles separated right off. I tried everything to repair and couldn't get them to stay on. They are just barely over a year old. Now I am wearing them sole-less-but they have no traction. From other reviews, Teva is aware of the issue but won't do anything about it. Bummer, cuz I'd buy more pairs if they backed them up! I can buy a less quality pair that will fall apart for less than half the price. I recommend with caution...don't wear in salt water!

Took shoes to Cabo. After 3 days the soles came unglued and fell off the shoes. I initially likes the shoes comfort and feel but am very disappointed with the durability!

Bought a pair a few years back and wore them a few times. Very comfortable with good traction for the trail. Forgot them at the back of my closet for a couple years and rediscovered them a few weeks back. I wore them tonight for a half mile walk along the shore and was shocked when one of the soles was flopping around on the way back. Bad luck, I thought. By the time I got back to my car, both soles were almost completely off. That's not bad luck, that's a poor bond between what appears to be the sole and the insole. I'd suspect the glue dried out. I'll try to fix them with Shoe Goo, but gosh, I got so little use out of them. Must be less than a dozen times I've worn them and they're not the cheapest choice out there. Hope the 2 pair of Origanal Universal I recently got last longer.

I wear this product with arch support inserts, and am enjoying great foot support, while feeling as though I'm wearing no shoes at all. Wonderful !! Actually, I should have requested a 9.5, instead of jumping to a whole size up (to accommodate inserts), but I'm taking up the slack with socks. Next pair, I'll be prepared. I'm happy with quick exchange experience.

I used this shoe first when I went to Ireland and it was the best shoe possible! They don't need much breaking in and they are super comfortable to wear for long periods of time. If your feet get hot but you need extra suport and protection this will work for you. I am very picky about my shoes, I need my arch supported, I need them to be soft and I need them to work for several activities. I wear them a lot and they are holding up great. The only other shoes I wear are the Teva Mush (which are the all time best shoes ever made!).

Only had these for a few days now but so far I'm very impressed with them. The footbed has a nice texture that prevents them from feeling sticky if your feet get a little damp. Performed very well for a weekend in the mountains. Very stable even for off-trail hiking. As others have noted, they do sometimes pick up small rocks and you have to stop to remove them. Sometimes the heel rubs a little and caused some hot spots. No blisters though, as of yet. I'm hoping the soles don't come apart like so many people have reported. I'll post an update if that happens. One note on sizing: I used the sizing chart and ordered a 7 which was sized at exactly the same measurement as my foot and they fit perfectly with no slip. These seem to be designed to fit like a glove, so I think ordering a half size up would actually be detrimental to comfort.
