This is a nice looking sandal but the comfort leaves something to be desired. The heel strap is very uncomfortable especially when walking for longer periods. Also the clasp across the top of the shoe is on the outside. If it were positioned on the inside, it would be much easier to release when taking the shoe off. This is a nice shoe but, for the money, I'm somewhat disappointed.

After my last pair of Teva sandals finally gave up the ghost (after 3 or 4 years of heavy use) I needed something to replace them. When my new Tevas arrived I was very pleased with the design, construction and fit of them. During the first day I began having second thoughts. The heel strap has tabs that sit on either side of your Achillies tendon. They also curl inward and rub blisters there. I very disappointed in these at the end of day 1. After several days of deciding whether or not to just throw them out, I came up with a fix. If you take a razor blade and cut the stitching on the leather out layer of the tabs, then cut them off, you are left with just the elastic layer that is underneath. Once I did this these sandals have GREAT. Back to being comfortable and rugged as I expect a Teva to be. I only rated it as a 3/5 in comfort. It would have been a zero, but it can be corrected to a 5.

These are great well made shoes. But they are too wide.

Love the product, love the service. Only issue is that the soul does not breath and sweat puddles up under foot. If you don't have sweaty feet this sandal is a home run!

The pair I ordered was a little too big, so they are en route back to Zappos. Easy to return shoes. However, the color green on these sandals is a very ugly color. The next pair of Teva sandals I ordered were waterproof leather. The "Fisherman" style.

I really like these sandals, however the first pair I had were defective and after little use the bottoms delaminated. That is the beauty of dealing with Zappos. Never had to return the old ones and even after a year, they replaced them.

Loved these shoes for the first 2 hours until when I was showing them off to my dad and I looked down and the right drawstring/fastener had broke! Shoes fit great as my forefoot is a little wider than the average person but I had tried these on at a retail store so I knew they fit well for me. But c'mon, man?! So I'm sending them back and just gonna have them replaced because they really do look promising but I have seen some reviews that mention poor workmanship/quality. So if Zappos is going to have free shipping both ways there better not be too many of these defects or I'm sure they'll drop the shoe. By the way, this is my first day with the shoe and I hadn't even come close to any sort of activity with them. Zappos is great though.

This is my second pair of Omnium shoes. I'm a Scout leader and active backpacker. These shoes have stood up to the abuse I've been able to dish out. Whether it's walking in parades, hiking across dirt, rock, sand, tree debris, or backpacking the Eastern Sierras, Rockies, Appalachians, or Big Sur. This shoe never lost its comfort and grip. I felt the shoe is wider than what you would expect, which is good for me. I like the extra room in the toe box. The only drawback I have to offer with these shoes is the lack of a debris shield along the bottom from the top of the sole to the bottom of the upper and many is the time I've had to pick out the errant rock, thorn, twig, etc; however, these are hiking sandals, so you must expect to not keep clean socks or feet when wearing them. I killed my last pair, after wearing them for 4 years, by having my feet too close to the fire and the glue holding the sole to the bottom of the shoe failed.

This show was perfect for rafting, hiking, safari, and overall comfort. I was able to wear for wet and dry terrain. There was no residual mildew or smell after the use of water areas.

Good shoe for what it is, outdoor and wet weather. Not exceptionally comfortable and definitely not stylish, but you don't always need that camping. :)

Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money to get the Omnium leather. I got this one in Turkish coffee color, which is very similar in color shade to leather. However, this sandal felt and looked (to me) cheaper than the Omnium leather, which is what I kept.

I'm an older guy and let's say that I'm not slim. I put my shoes on by sitting down and crossing my legs. When I do that the clasp is on the underside of my foot. It makes putting on the shoe very awkward. I wish the clasp was located in the middle, or even better toward the inside. Other than that, this is a great shoe.

The Teva Omnium is built well, as I have come to expect from Teva. It fits true to size and is very secure on my foot. It seems rugged and well thought out...except. So why did I return it? two reasons: 1. It is too clunky for me. I spend a lot of time fishing in streams and rivers and need good sensation for walking and climbing on rocks. This shoe was too stiff and clunky with poor sensation. Probably much better for hiking. 2. It is so ugly. That very wide and round toe, just makes for such an awful appearance. Maybe I am vain, but I just could handle wearing a "Forrest Gump Shoe." If that doesn't bother you, then you might like this shoe. Like I said, it is very well constructed and sturdy.

I have had mine for about three years now and worn them occasionally in the warm months of the year. They are very comfortable but very prone to delamination (coming apart) where the sole material meets the sides of the sandal. I had to glue them several times and it reoccurs.

Buyers should be aware that the outer sole can come apart. I hardly wore mine and the right sole started to separate from the rest of the shoe. I was able to use Shoe Goo to re-glue the heel. But you shouldn't have to do this on a new shoe.

I bought these for my wife and my vacation to Mexico. In PV we went Zip Lining in the Mountains (which involved rappelling into water and walking in cold water creeks). These worked wonderful. However, the next day the sole fell completely apart. I had only had these 2 weeks when this happened.

I am normally a TEVA fan. these seem to be much more cheaply made than normally. First pair of them the rubber souls came unglued on like the third wear. Of course zappos, as wonderful as they are to deal with, immediately sent me a new pair. They seem to be holding up but I have only worn them about 10 times so far. So we will see.

It stinks after few days of use, the sole is dangerously slippery on the sandy hills, and ventilation is poor.
Lately Teva started to add to their shoes bright yellow and orange accents, attracting undesired attention. One more over-designed element which defines you as a funny Gringo abroad!
On the other side, the Omnium well protects the feet, it is comfortable and lasts long. Overall it is only 3-star product, but still much better than the competitors.
I just bought the Omnium for the third time.

This sandal is fairly comfortable. They run a 1/2 size larger than normal, even compared to other Tevas. The velcro on the instep and the heel is a big let down... looks cheap, feels cheap. The sandal has a more "closed" feel than I would like. Tends to get hotter than the alternative sandal I would recommend, the Itunda! For a little more it addresses all these complaints. The only edge to the Omnium is it is available in more muted colors, if you're matching it to wardrobe.

This shoe is very comfortable. Have worn them for 2 months and the sole is separating from the rest of the shoe. I\'ve had this problem with other Teva sandals recently. They must be using a different glue these days.

I've worn Teva sandals before and loved them. So, I felt no hesitation in ordering these without trying them on first. However, this particular style has proven to be very uncomfortable. The slightly elastic fabric that surrounds your ankle and achilles tendon doesn't stretch enough to prevent the fabric from digging in to your skin. And the side straps have given me blisters each time I've worn these. Would not recommend these.

I bought these for my husband to be his shoes for warm weather outdoor activities (fishing, hiking, etc.) because they're made to handle getting wet. He tried them on when they arrived and they seemed great: felt good, comfortable. And then we wore them. The first time was fine, no complaints. The second time, they gave him a blister on the back of his heel. We thought, ok, well, he just needs to break them in a little. He wore them a few more times and they still irritated his heel. I told him to give his heel a break, to let it heal up completely before our trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. He did this, but then the heel strap was so uncomfortable just while driving to our vacation (about 6 hours) that he had to unstrap the sandals while driving. And then came the huge blister on his heel while hiking. He powered through and we put some of those blister Band-Aids on it, but still. A sandal that is supposed be all about comfort should not rub to the point of blisters after several wears. Unfortunately, this expensive sandal will now be relegated to short activities like cutting the grass. We'll be replacing these with a pair of Keens for him to use for more strenuous activities like hiking. Needless to say, we're pretty disappointed!

Pointlessly heavy. My New Balance lace-up trail shoes weight about 5 oz, these are 13.5 per shoe. Too thick, too rigid
