NB 811 - Pretty bummed when NB discontinued the 810, but these are great. Been with the series since 808. Not good for pavement or snow (sole holds snow), but great for real (rough) trail running...and hiking once they're too worn for running. Great air flow, so wear warm socks for winter.

I am a convert to this brand after buying these shoes! I love being able to wear heels but stand on my feet all day. I had to wear these shoes during a work day that required me to stand for 16 hours straight. Yes, my feet hurt at the end of that day, but they didn’t start hurting until the 10 hour mark. I think that says a lot for boots with heels! The leather is so soft and my feet feel well supported during fast city walking or standing still. I love this brand! I only wish the foot wasn’t so rounded, style-wise.

I needed a great looking shoe with heavy duty cushioning, and these shoes deliver. Speaking of delivery - I ordered these at 7pm. Zappos had them on my doorstep by 3pm the next day. Amazing service. Again.

Great shoes - My husband loves these shoes. Extra wide and comfortable. Order was received the next day after purchase. Very quick service. Very pleased.

Awesome Shoes - These shoes are perfect!!!! I am 6 foot 350 lbs. and I wear shoes out because I am very athletic for my size and I need a good shoe and this is it...I would suggest this shoe to everyone...I also have a very wide foot and the x-tra wide size is perfect!!!!!

600 miles and still going strong! I'm hiking the Pacific Crest Trail from Canada to Mexico. I picked up a pair of 811s about 600 miles ago, near the beginning of Oregon. Here I am on a day off in Old Station, CA. wearing the same pair of shoes! These shoes have taken a beating, too- lava rocks, volcanic dust, and glacial snow- you name it. It has been 600 miles of brutal terrain. I think that most users will find this shoe's durability to be more than sufficient. Make note, however, that I use Super Feet insoles instead of the factory NB ones. I plan for these shoes to last me well into SoCal.

These shoes were very comfortable from the minute I put them on. The day after they arrived, I took a 4 mile "power walk" and had no issues whatsoever. They are very light and they are well vented. I would buy these again.

Back to basics....exercise - My husband had surgery on both feet in February of this year for plantar fasciitis. He also started a weight loss program this spring. He wanted to begin some kind of exercise program that his feet would tolerate. So he started with these New Balance shoes and has been able to ride an exercise bike, do short walks, and even play some backyard volleyball! He's extremely happy with the support and fit of this shoe!

Great sneaker - My son is very pleased with this sneaker. It looks nice yet it accommodates his custom made orthotic. We highly recommend this sneaker.

Great shoe! Good all around cross trainer. My husband isn't comfortable in narrow fitting shoes so he tends to shy away from Adidas and Nike. This is his third pair of New Balance in this style. He really likes them.

Great Trail Running Shoe - Shoes are not good for street running because the knobby sole makes it feel like you’re running on rocks.

Mr. Trail - I run off-road 90% of the time, and I need a shoe that protects my sole and gives me stability. I have never had a better shoe in these categories. This is my second pair, and if it is available when this pair wears out, guess what I'm going to do?

Best NB shoes I've ever had - I just ordered these shoes around 6pm last night and they're already here! I love you Zappos. I've had 3 other pairs of lower end NB all terrain shoes before and I decided to try some more expensive ones for a change. Boy, does it make a difference! I usually wear a 14 because my foot is so wide, it makes it hard to find a 13 4E, but Zappos had them and they feel great. These shoes have a neat little tightening mechanism that makes the shoe snug all around when you pull the laces tight, making a truly excellent fit. I am very impressed with these shoes and the insanely fast service from Zappos. I will definitely be buying all of my running shoes from them in the future. Also, I should mention that I have extremely flat feet and NB shoes usually don't have those annoying arch support blobs in the shoe which really hurt my foot. So, if you have high arches and need those, this shoe does not have them (a very small one if anything).

Great Shoe for WIDE Feet - I have very wide [sensitive] feet, especially in the toe box. These shoes were comfortable right out of the box, with no break-in period necessary! I first wore them for about one half an hour indoors, and the next time for roughly 7 hours on a 34 mile endurance hike, over some very rough terrain. They are also well ventilated, and my socks were not that sweaty when I changed them at the checkpoints. I love these shoes! I'm going to buy a second pair for later use [in case the model changes]. Also, I switched to the MT811 all-terrain running shoe after the terrain leveled out, with great results as well [for roughly 5 hours of road/trail]. Both shoes fit well from the moment that I put them on [and considering the very limited initial use], and I HIGHLY recommend them for anyone that suffers with the affliction of very wide feet like mine!

The first thing you will notice about these shoes are that they are so breathable. You don't even need to run to feel this. The cushioning is excellent; you wear these all day. Although I would not do it because I always find NB's ugly.

Finally... I have the world's craziest feet: high-arched, extra-wide and only 8 to 8 1/2 in length. After being assured by my colleagues that I indeed do not have congenitally-maligned feet, I went to Zappos to find a pair that suites me. Few shoes appear when I put my foot "specs" in, but these baby's popped up and ordered them. Size 8 4E is not a size you normally come across. They were available and they feel like a dream. Light, cushioned, "airy", very comfortable. Also rugged and well-built. Great for light runs and cross training (I don't trail run, but most shoes fall apart with any activity). Highly recommended for those with alien feet like myself. Thanks Zappos for a speedy order and for the excellent runner's guide. No more over-pronating for me, no more sore ankles/knees. Woo-hoo...

Comfy, indeed - The EE width is exactly what I needed (and not loose at the heel either). The extra room in the toe box makes all the difference for these tired feet. Right out of the box, my grouchy old tootsies turned happy. Eccos used to be my favorite, but ECCO must have changed their patterns. New styles are too narrow for my comfort anymore. So, glad I tried the NB's.

Very light, comfortable. Good gripping sole. Less cushioning that street running shoe.

New Balance MT811 - Finally shoes that are wide enough for my feet! They are comfortable when jogging, though I recommend wearing them some to break them in for your feet before running.

I purchased these for a friend who has a heel spur. He also works 10 hours a day on his feet. These help with providing comfort and cushioning to his feet.

Great shoe from the get go... comfortable and great looking. I bought a second pair the next day. Zappos is as super store to work with.

New Balance's MT811 - I haven't bought a pair of "plain" running shoes in a while - I've been buying "waterproof" shoes to try to keep my feet dry during weekend activities. So it was a delight to wear nice, light, breathable running shoes again. These 811 are very light, and I have room to move my toes despite my square shaped feet. Very comfortable right out of the box.

Recommended - Good shoe for a larger runner with wide feet. Feels very comfortable and light.

Perfect! These shoes are great! Perfect for anyone with wide feet looking for something stylish. They accommodate my orthotics and sorbathane inners without crowding my foot. The heel cup fits perfectly without being too snug and the toe box is just the right width! As usual, Zappos had these out to me in record time with overnight shipping upgraded absolutely free. I love the tread on these shoes too! Very aggressive and thick...Looks like it'll be awhile before these things wear down!

NB MT811 - Just what I was looking for! Got the MT811 in blue/grey. Look great and feel even better. Very light and the mesh upper breaths great. Not too much arch, which I've found to be a problem with my feet on other brands. The lacing system is tough to keep real tight, but I'm not running mountain trails, so it's not a problem.
