Brooks is for Walking too...
I've been a Brooks Adrenaline buyer for many years for walking only. I have arthritis in my knees and the comfort of a running shoe as suggested by my Podiatrist is the answer. They are A+++ for some pronation and roomy footbed and many other comfort benefits.

Great running shoe for the overpronator with a high arch -
I've been wearing Brooks for a while and the GTS 8 is better than the GTS 7, which rubbed against my Achilles and caused awful blisters. They have a bit more toe box room than the 7, and are still as comfortable as before. I'm glad they offered the shoe in something other than blue.

Nice but...
These shoes are true to size and width, but they are lacking in arch support and cushioning. If you want a shoe that won't hurt your feet during a run be prepared to pay extra for better inserts. As much as they cost you would think that Brooks would put more effort into the insert they put in their shoes.

Brooks Adrenaline -
I think Brooks has the best running shoe out there. I used to buy the Brooks Gylcerine which is great, but I pronate on one foot and so I thought I would try these out. Previously I had had a bit of knee pain and this stopped after buying these shoes, so they stabilize… but I feel that they are a bit stiffer. I expected more stiffness from other reviews, so I would say it was mildly stiff - but this is compared to a non-stabilizing shoe. Overall, I don't know how well it controls the pronation (that I notice visually), but it did enough to stop the occasional knee pain I was having. I did not think the shoe was unnecessarily heavy either. Overall I would recommend it, but only if you need a stabilizing shoe - then go for it!

Brooks Adrenaline GTS 8 -
I second the review that describes the "8" as not being as comfortable as the "6" Adrenaline, at least as far as padding goes. Otherwise, the shoe feels and looks just fine. As far as color, I would have preferred red, but that color was unavailable when I placed my order. Once I received the shoes, I was quite satisfied with the blue. Enjoy!

Still not as good as the Adreneline 6 -
I said this about the Adreneline 7 and I'll say it again - it's no Adreneline 6. They seem to have stayed with the firmer sole from the 07 model because my shin splints act up if I don't wear these with an insole. However, the shoe still fits well and hasn't produced a single blister (I also wear Wrightsocks - awesome), so I can't complain too much. This model has some shiny new metallic accents which I'm not real wild about (6 and 7 didn't have that), but since I don't look at my feet while I run, I don't really care. Overall, this is an excellent shoe for runners with narrower feet/ankles and a neutral arch. If they decide to bring back the cushier sole, I'd marry this shoe.

Not for me -
Shoe was small. I normally wear a 7.5EE. Order 8EE and my toes hit the tip of the shoe. cushion was not acceptable for me. If found an Asics gel that works much better.

A terrible update -
I have been a big fan of the Adrenaline for years - but whatever changes they made to the 8 have been a big disappointment. I cannot wear these for more than a couple miles without developing terrible pain in my lower legs. Bring back what worked in the Adrenaline 6 please!!!
