Great boot, great look, and well worth the price. My husband loved them. The only thing is that you have to go down 1 full size. My husband wears a 10 1/2 I ordered a 10 but they were too big, I called Zappos & they shipped my order next day delivery. Zappos was great with the return & with overnight shipping. Zappos also has excellent customer service.

Let me start here...in terms of quality, you get what you pay for...incredible leather which is going to last for long long time. Now be careful about sizing. I tried mostly all the styles available at Zappos...and surprisingly they vary so much in sizing depend upon style...regular black one is a whole 1 size down while; for 1907 it was true to size and others vary too. Be ready to order multiple sizes in style you want to get the best fit...this is my first pair of Red Wings and no need to say that now on I am not going to buy any other boots than Red Wing.

A mean pair of boots! Don't expect them to be soft, you have to tame them but I got no sores in the process, once they are folded to your feet they are quite confortable and they look very nice.

These boots are great! I love them and wear them every day. I stand a lot at work and they are great for that. Not super cushy but supportive and solid. Very well made. Perfect construction and stitching. When you first put them on it takes a good week or 10 days to get them broken in, after that they just get better and better.

These are awesome boots! I have only had these for a few weeks so I will have to edit this at another time. I buy a 13 sometimes because I use a 12/12½ and I bought a 12 which fit true to size.

These boots are great. It took a few days (and a few bandaids) to break in but the leather is now super soft and very comfortable. I get compliments every time I wear them. They look great with all types of pants. Highly recommend.

This is a very sturdily built boot suitable for less-than-ideal weather or relatively standard work in an engineering shop. Great as a part of a vintage workwear inspired outfit. Theoretically usable for hiking, motorcycles, and the like. Very satisfied.

It's a gift and my nephew really like them a lot. This one run large and you need to order 1/2 size smaller which I did and it fit him perfectly. Thanks to all the review about this tip. Great shoes.

I had done my research on these boots, however I am always skeptical about trying something new. The reviews were correct, there is an extended, but not painful, break in period. These boots become custom fit boots after a few weeks. The look is outstanding and the quality of work is the best I have ever seen. I highly recommend these for anybody looking for a non-safety workbook or a great looking casual boot.

Wow...Red Wing Boots are amazing! The quality boots they produce are somewhat of a past time. I would pay $350 for these boots. They are worth it. I agree with all the comments about the size. I usually wear a 10 1/2 so I bought a 10 and they fit like a glove. Outstanding for motorcycle riding as well!

These are great shoes! I love the leather - soft and scratched easily. With that these shoes will age beautifully! They are a little stiff when you put them right from the box but I feel they will break in quite nice. As far as sizing goes - I usually wear US 10, or, to be more precise JPN 28cm (I found this measurement to be the most accurate with various brands). With these shoes first I went half a size down, US 9½, and that felt too big. Then I got the US 9 (EE width, I have a strange pinky toe) and with thicker socks these shoes fit perfectly! So I would recommend to go one full size down. I hope this review will help someone.

Just wanted to comment on sizing to help others. I usually wear size 11 and occasionally a 10.5 boot will fit me. I bought these boots in size 10 and they fit perfect. Not tight or loose, just right. The width is snug but will obviously loosen up. I can tell right away that these boots will brake in quickly without blisters, though I wear a lot of boots. Good luck!

These are pretty much the same boot as the old Red Wing model 875. I have had a pair since the 90's. The insole takes a while to conform to your foot but once it does it's very comfortable. I have done landscaping in these, gone hiking, worn them to an office job and they look good in all these places. The leather uppers are well made and conform to your feet. There is no need for inner lining. These boots were made to last a lifetime. I have not had mind resoled, as my soles are still good but I may some day.

These are awesome shoes, they provide pure top quality satisfaction from the first time you look at them out of the box, to every step thereafter the break in period. I recommend ordering half or a full size smaller as they run big. I did not want to wait to change so I just bought a red wind shoe insert and it was snug fit.

I bought these to replace a pair of 20+ year-old Red Wings that have been resoled and are still truckin' but looking a little haggard. I read a lot of the reviews and yes, they seem to be about a half size too long, but I compared them to the old boots and the reason they seem long is that the end of the toe box slants out (towards the front), not straight down like the old boots. My big toe fits right where it needs to be, so I wouldn't want a half size smaller and I've gotten used to the "longer" boot. I have been wearing them every day to work (teacher) for a month to break them in and I just got back from the first camping trip in the new ones, no blisters, no problems. I go camping once a month with the Boy Scouts and we usually have a long hike on the schedule, so good boots are a must. It's a lot of money for boots, but I have learned that you can't cheap out on shoes; I have another "vintage" pair of Red Wing work boots and am completely satisfied with both. I ordered on-line because the nearest Red Wing dealer is an hour's drive away and they didn't carry this style anyway, so I would have had to order them and then drive back to town to pick them up. Since I already had a pair, I ordered the same size. Zappos' price was cheaper and they offer free delivery and they are fast. However, I would recommend you go try them on, if practical, especially if you are unsure of the fit. All-in-all, a great pair of American-made boots, no hassle ordering, and free delivery. This is a great country.

I bought these boots in the hopes that I would make it through this New York City Winter comfortably, in style, and without falling on my butt. As anyone who has lived in NYC can tell you, our crosswalks are the greatest test of your footwear: they accumulate huge lakes of runoff snow/rain/sludgewater, and the grade from sidewalk to street is very slippery. Now that we're past the worst of it, I'm happy to report that these have indeed served their purpose. In terms of feedback, I think there are really only two other things you need to be aware of. 1. While they do feel a half size larger, that is really only in the foot part of the boot. Had I bought them a half size smaller I'm not sure that I would have been able to get my foot past the ankle part without unlacing 3/4 of the laces. 2. The white sole is darn near impossible to keep clean. For a while I was wiping it down every day or two and I've finally given up. If anything, the browing/spotting/marring that happens on the edges of the soles just gives them character. Overall, I'm a happy camper.

Handsome, rugged, well-made boots. A bit stiff at first, but they'll break in. I found them to fit long and narrow, so I went down one size and up one width (from a 14 in most shoes to a 13 wide).

These are really great boots. Very good quality, and USA-made to boot!(pun...) I hit them with some Lexol to ease the break-in, as Red Wings are notoriously stiff out of the box. Also a warm application of sno-seal to waterproof. I have always found these to be comfortable, even after a long day on my feet. I highly recommend these. Of note, they do run .5 - 1.0 size larger than normal, so size down.

I love the look and style of the boots. I ordered the 10.5 even though I'm an 11 thinking they run big. Not the case, I had to send back because the rubbed my heels 'til they blistered. Got the 11 and they fit an feel great. Most of all, made in the USA!

Zappos reinforced their reputation for service. Unfortunately they sent the boot with lug sole (which do look better but are bulkier) rather than crepe. No problems, quick call and the other boots arrived 2 days later. After reading several reviews I decided to order 1/2 size smaller than normal. I recommend you order 1 size smaller. The boots look great, are well built and the crepe soles wear like sneakers. Still breaking them in, but I will have these puppies for years.

Great boots. Classic. I read and listened to the feedback and ordered a half size smaller than I normally wear. Good think I did. Boots fit great nice and snug the way I like. Little stiff at first but if your willing to give them the break in time you wont regret it. I'd recommend for sure.

Lifetime boot with the resole-able Norwegian Welt. Rough and tough leather is soft and supple. I have had them for about 1 month and they are breaking in nicely and conforming to my foot. Each time a wear them they are becoming more comfortable. Had to start off only wearing them a couple of hours at a time during the break in process but now after a month of wearing them on and off they are very comfortable to wear all day long. I have a high arch and they give me good arch support. I normally wear a 10 in boots and ended up with a 9 in these red wings - they are sized a full size up. Best part about them is they are hand crafted in the USA!

Great looking boot. Beautiful red leather. Usually wear a 11.5 but had to size down to 11. They are a bit narrow currently but probably just need to be broken in. All in all, a great buy.

Warning and advice: Do not buy his shoe, until you get your foot measured. Walk into any shoe shop and get your foot measured and get advice from the experts on whether you should go up or down a half size. (this is a famous brand with plenty of information on these shoes) The break in period is 1-3 weeks. Wear thick socks when doing so to avoid blisters. If you paid close to retail for a shoe, and you don't make close to this cost an hour, chances are you overpaid for a shoe and made a long term investment. So ALSO invest in some Red Wing Mink Oil to seal and waterproof the leather on the shoe to protect your investment. Lastly I would recommend buying this shoe at a store, and not online. When speaking with a shoe salesmen(with 30 of experience), he complained of the lack of consistency in the aesthetics of Red Wing. He raved about the quality of the shoe, but noted that often the leather and dye can appear different from shoe to shoe. So make sure you see the shoe in person, and study the patterns of the aging before spending your money. Long story short: there are few things in life in which I would spend 10X the price on something that I can get from a competitor(with lower quality), but when the difference in quality is this wide, and the shoe is this excellent from it's stitching, to it's design, to the practicality of the sole, to the thick leather laces, and many other features, do yourself a favor and invest in something that will last you 5-10 years.

I've had my Red Wings for about a month now and am very satisfied. Normally wear a 9.5-10 and ordered a 9.5 in the Copper Rough & Tough Leather. They were a little narrow upon first wear and had a pretty stiff sole (they heel kept pulling my socks down because they didn't bend much) but after a few wears, loosened up and are very comfortable. I had to send the first pair I ordered from Zappos back because the stitching on the top of the toe box was poorly done. Second pair I received were keepers.
