The boots are as awesome as expected but they are a little bit big. If your foot is between sizes, go smaller than bigger. Great buy.

At first these boots were not comfortable. They were too narrow and extremely stiff. 4 weeks later, they are my favorite pair of shoes! I have never worn a shoe with this extremely high quality leather. I wear these in the snow, heat, mud, rain and my feet seem to always be perfect...I can then put them on with nice jeans or corduroys and do the whole semi dress casual look. I can walk all day. They just rock and are truly all terrain.

Great boots ! They feel better and better every day. Very much worth the price. The only gripe I have is that the tonge is attached and a little tight preventing them from being slip ons. I'm sure in time they will loosen. Otherwise, these are perfect. You cam wear these all day. Made in America.

I worked as a heavy equipment repairman for 30 years, and wore Red Wing boots exclusively. Now that I'm retired, i wanted something a little lighter and cushier than the steel toed, heavy duty safety foot ware that I wore everyday, and these are just what I was looking for. They're light and comfortable, and fit great right out of the box. Red Wings have always been more expensive than many other brands of boot, but their quality, and longevity, make them worth every penny. I couldn't be happier. Also, I checked my local Red Wing dealers before purchasing these boots from Zappos. Neither store had them in stock, and Zappos' price was lower than what they would have charged to order them for me, and I didn't have to pay the taxes, which added up to a considerable savings. Whats more,I had them in less than 24 hours! Thanks Zappos.

These are incredible, well made and comfortable boots. Everything you'd expect from Red Wing. And made in the USA, a rare thing these days for footwear. I had a little trouble selecting the proper size as they run very true. I ended up with an 11-1/2, the size I used to wear in every shoe but now only find in more expensive dress shoes. I had a pair similar to these in high school and I'm really glad to have these. They look great with jeans.

This is a very well made shoe. It is definitely waterproof and the details that they put in are great. The leather treatment was slightly smelly at first, but it went away pretty quickly. Look great with jeans.

Awesome boots. I bought a few pairs of Red Wings for considerations and kept these as the favorite. They are totally a full size larger than marked. Supple (amazingly fragrant) leather, nice details. Really authentic feeling.

Great shoe - Although the price is kind of above average, it's a great pair of boots. Good looking, comfortable, and good to walk on snow/icy ground. No regret getting this one. BTW, good service at Zappos.

Sturdy and comfortable - I got these to wear in the winter, when the sidewalks get slushy and slippery - have not yet had a chance to try them under those conditions, but so far I really like them. Warm, good ankle support, and good traction on wet ground. If they weren't brand new, I'd wear them downtown every day, but I don't want to get paint on them right away. Nice vintage look in a top quality shoe - price is reasonable, all factors considered.

Originally ordered 12D - these run at least 1/2 size larger-returned for 11 1/2. Strongly suggest using a foot bed with these boots, the sole is hard and a bit uncomfortable. Added Dr Scholls inserts and they are fine. Broke in quickly. Zappos customer service were very helpful in the exchange - made it happen fast!

Super comfortable. Didn\'t even notice a break-in period. Looks good starting a little weathered. Have a hard time keeping my socks from bunching up at the front of my feet and leaving my heels bare if I run in them.

Great looking shoe. Not great arch support for those of us with high arches, but that was easily corrected with an orthotic.\r\n\r\nThe high back part of the shoe around the ankle, cuts into the back of my leg since it\'s not cushioned at all. I\'m hoping this breaks in with wear. Anyone know a way to help with this? It\'s been awhile since I\'ve worn a shoes that needs breaking in, so maybe I\'m just not used to that.\r\n\r\nI\'m really hoping they\'ll be more comfortable after a few wearings.\r\n\r\nTop-notch service from Zappos, as usual: thank you!

These are great boots - for a while! Eric Clapton wore these boots when he was a young man (before he switched to Doc Martens). So these are sort of a "reissue" boot. Main problem: The crepe soles wear down VERY quickly, and you will need them resoled about once a year or so. No big deal, but I have Red Wing boots that are 30 years old that have never needed repair. So in the context of Red Wing, this little beauties are a bit too "hot house flower" - they need a lot of care.

Extremely uncomfortable...wow. Would never buy it again. By the time you put your feet inside your socks are all screwed up.

been wanting to have this for more than 10 years now, but its kinda hard to get them from my country. Now that we are in the USA, we have access already (Zappos) ,my wife bought this without hesitation since she knows how much I wanted to have these. Lucky Me. Anyway dont forget to size down, either a half or a full size down. thank me later.

The fit is very good, new leather was a small pinch tight first wear, now fit is perfect. Materials are very high quality, and workmanship is superb. This is my third pair of redwings and I love wearing them. They’re a little expensive but well worth it. Highest recommendation!

These take a couple of months to be truly broken in. Just be tougher than the boot and it is totally worth it. I wore my last pair for 8 years and had them re-soled 4 times. They form into a totally custom fit over time. The leather is top quality and cleans up well. If you take care of them and oil them once or twice a year they will last for years.

First of all, Zappos customer service is the best I’ve encountered. They make sure everything is right. My advice on sizing, if you happen to wear Thorogood Moc-Toe’s, I find that the sizing is the same. So if you’re 9EE in Thorogood’s, I would order 9EE in Red Wing Moc’s. If you’re sizing from scratch, I would go a half-size down from your Brannock. If you have wider feet, I would go a full size down from your Brannock and get the EE width. Anyways, Zappos has me sold. I’m a customer for life.

Best boots in the world- 3 years daily use - major comfort - just give them about a month to break-in and form to your exact foot shape. I'm thinking about getting new soles.

The recommendation to drop a half size down was spot on cause I normally wear a 10 but the 9.5 is perfect. I can tell the boots are well made with top quality leather. I love the look and feel of the boots and can’t wait to get them broken in. I have wanted a pair of Red Wings for a long time and I’m going to enjoy these. Thanks

These are incredible boots! I wear the 875s and the 1907s. The quality, durability, and style are all unmatched my any brand that may seem like a "better deal." I put "no arch support" in the ratings since they are not built with a shank. That said, they are incredibly comfortable to me, and only get better with age. The sole does not last as long as the Thorogood wedge, this is true. However, mine have always lasted many years before a resole is needed. I use these for casual and work, but I am a Fedex Express courier, and not in construction. If I were in construction, I would still probably wear these, but I love the idea of an old school boot. Most in construction would go over to the "work" side of Red Wing. Do yourself a favor... Pick up a pair of these! Size down a half size, though!

This boot has been around since the '50s pretty much unchanged, so you know it's a great design and will last. I've been wearing these since I was a kid in the mid-'70s--This is my third pair of Red Wing moc toes. If you do the minimal maintenance on them--like apply some type of good quality leather conditioner two or three times a year--you'll probably own these forever. These can be resoled, and you can buy new laces when they wear out. The boots do a pretty good job of keeping rain out if you happen to get caught in a storm; the gusseted tongue and tight stitching seal the water out if you have to make a mad dash to shelter in a heavy rain--just remember they are not waterproof, and after ten minutes or so of being soaked, they will start to leak. Break-in take a small bit of commitment; the high quality leather is a bit stiff out of the box, and you will feel some minor rubbing and pinching at the ankle for the first week, but if you size them correctly, they'll be pretty comfy after a week, then only get better with age. Pro tip: wear thick cotton or merino wool boot socks during break-in. The materials and construction are first-rate. There is a reason why all the rural workers and urban hipsters love them: they are comfortable, long-lasting, good-looking boots and a great value.

These boots run large and a little narrow. I ended up with an 8.5 EE when I would usually take a 9 M. It takes awhile to break them in but now they are quite comfortable. The construction is amazing and I am sure I'll be wearing these for a long time.
