I love these shoes! I had been looking for months for good shoes for walking and sightseeing. I tried all the Merrell and several other of popular brand of that type and I could not find the comfort level I was looking for with the support. I have wider feet. I could not find the air rifts in any stores to try on, so based on the reviews here I just went ahead and bought them since Zappos makes it so easy to exchange. They were true to fit and comfortable right out of the box, I did not have to break them in. They are super light but still seem to have great support. I do not think they are the most attractive shoes, but they are so comfortable I want to wear them all the time. The only thing negative to say about them is that my feet do get sweaty in them. I wear them without socks, but I believe there are special socks you can by for these shoes. Anyway, the sweaty feet do not bother me that much. Super fast shipping from Zappos as always.

I have been a fan of Nike Air Rift sneakers for years. I get double glances in these all the time. The Action Red color is bold and bright! As a teacher I cannot wear my Louboutins to run after 6th graders all day making these a stylish alternative. They look great with everything and extreme.

Super comfortable and bouncy. I had to return them. It just looked terrible on the foot. The strap is too wide and the cut of the shoe is too high. These run small! Wish I could have kept them.

Love these shoes! I have two pair now. I wore them on vacation in California, spending hours walking in them at all the theme parks. Never once did I have a blister, nor did my feet/legs get tired. Definitely would recommend these shoes!

My new favorite running shoe. Lightweight, comfortable. And I think it is a good way to start with "barefoot" running style.

I was looking for comfort and style at the same time and this shoe has it! It has the comfort of a regular athletic shoe paired with a design that stands out. I have received many compliments but what's more important is that I can walk and walk and walk. Maybe socks add extra comfort/padding.

Amazingly comfortable - I just received these today, and have now ordered a second pair, that's how good they are. OK, so the split toe visually looks a little weird--one thinks of "cloven hoofs"--but the fact is that these are incredibly comfortable and easy to walk in. They definitely run a half-size small, so if you're a half-size, order up. The arch support, fit, and adjustable cross and heel straps are exceptional, as is the light weight and sleek look on the foot. I never order two pairs of shoes at once, but wanted to be sure I would have these for a long time to come. These will be great to work out in, without socks, in the spring and summer.

Happy feet from Texas! I have very sensitive feet and have struggled with finding a good looking, extremely foot friendly, superbly comfortable casual shoe. Hark! I have found my "shoe prince" in the Air Rift. I was leery of the split toe as I cannot tolerate a flip flop but, but let me tell you, my toes actually feel more comfortable with the split! The separation gives your foot a more balanced feel, crazy but true. The only suggestion I have: I wish the foot bed was made out of a more absorbent material. It feels too "plasticky". A sueded footbed would perfect this dream shoe. Don't hesitate; go for your first pair! I'm ordering my second pair today!

Rifts Rock! I became addicted to Rifts a few years ago. They are incredibly comfortable and stylish. I am 43 and my "cool factor" goes up a few notches when I wear mine. I have a narrow foot and am able to wear these as they adjust in several places. If you have worn Nikes before, I recommend ordering your normal Nike size as they usually run short. I am happy to see Zappos carrying Nike now, especially the Rifts.

Air Rift Comfort - I've been an Air Rift fan for years, but for awhile had a very difficulty time finding them, especially in a size 12. These shoes have excellent arch support. I find some of the Air Rift colors/patterns a bit much for my conservative taste, but these are perfect. I am concerned about dirt showing, but one reviewer has commented that they wash well, so I am a bit relieved. And of course, with Zappos, they arrived the day after ordering.

On the go mom - I feel a need to share with everyone how great this shoe is!! I have 4 pair of Nike Air Rift shoes. I do not like flip flops, can't wear anything between the toes, but was convinced to try this on. It is the only shoe I wear. The split does not touch between the toe. I had fallen arches and could hardly walk. I bought these shoes and wore them everyday, and YES, my plantar fasciitis was gone!! The elastic expands as your foot swells throughout the day. The fabric between the toes allows air to filter into the shoe for healthier feet. They wash very well also. This is the best shoe I have ever worn!!

Awesome shoe!!!!!! Just got these! Super fast-ordered Sat evening, on my porch Monday afternoon-standard shipping. Gotta love Zappos! Bought these shoes for 10 day Spring Break Disneyland/Santa Barbara walking vacation. I wanted something fun, comfortable and looks good with sporty skirts and dresses. This totally fits the bill. They are more streamlined and less chunky than pictured- that's good. These shoes are so comfortable and they come with a pair of split toe socks that blend with the khaki color. I plan on going sockless, but it will be nice to have an emergency pair. The split toe is really comfy and doesn't go as far down between toes as flip flop strap. In short, these shoes TOTALLY ROCK! They are comfy, sleek, fun, and versatile, and I can't wait to take them for a major test drive at Disney. I'll just have to break them (see if any spots rub) in at home until next month and not out in the Colorado snow...I think I can wait, I think I can wait! The color is cool, too- slightly shiny almost raw silk-like fabric in soft silver blue, Thanks Zappos! I just wish site carried more colors as I definitely see a second pair in my future.

This is my seventh pair of Air Rifts but Nike tweaked the 2012 model enough that now they are not as comfortable as the previous six pairs. Specifically they are a bit narrower across the widest part of the foot. The fabric stiffer throughout. The elastic band with Velcro closure across the foot is too stiff; same goes for the one on the back of the heel. These are so disappointing! With a heavy heart, I am sending them back and will have to search for older models. Nike always does this. They just cannot leave well enough alone.

These are very comfortable. Took a few times wearing them to get used to the separate toe compartment, and then it was not noticeable so much. My query is "Why?" They could have made this shoe more comfortable by not doing that! Well, I have them in a dark plum color and really like the shade. These shoes do make my feet sweaty and if I wear them all day I end up with stink-foot. On the measuring side, I think they are pretty true to size. I love the adjustable straps across the top and back and that fact that they are cushy for a full, active day! I also get many comments on them everywhere I go.

Not good for high arches - I think the shoe would have been very comfortable, if the strap had been long enough to go over my high arches. The velcro strap would only fit if I pulled it very tightly. Too tight to wear at that point. It seemed like it would have given good arch support and been comfortable. The pattern that I ordered was a bit busy for my taste, and the split toe seemed comfortable, if a bit odd. If it came in a solid color with a longer strap, I would have kept it.

I love the Air Rift and have been looking for a pair that is like my two year old pair. Many of the new styles Nike makes of the Rift are canvas and don't stretch or fit like older styles. The dust/black/hot pink style is great. It seemed that there were a few flaws in the production of the shoe, but this is Nike's fault, not Zappos. Zappos had these delivered to me the day after I ordered them. Amazing!

I want so desperately to own a pair of 5 Fingers or split toed shoes. I have a high arch and cannot get into most 5 Fingers. This one I did open wide enough and I could get in, but I could not close the Velcro tab. I am bummed out. These are not for high arched folks. Otherwise they are made well and have a nice design.

This is my third pair of Air Rifts; I love them for fit and comfort. But I'm a bit disappointed with the quality control for this model. I got one pair for me and one for my sister; the pair I kept had the Nike logo missing or peeling off the liner. I'm sending back the pair I ordered for my sister because the toe widths on each shoe are different enough to affect the fit. Earlier pairs were fine in terms of quality. I don't know if I just got two pairs with some quality issues or if this is across the production of this particular model.

Weird little thing between toes. Not comfy at all! And not red, more of a coral color.

Maybe I didn't read carefully enough; the shoe has a divided toe box with one side for your big toe. Mine did not fit, and I don't like this anyway - back it goes.
