The color wasn't as bright a yellow as depicted, but the socks are great, no problems with rubbing at the seams or bunching. Very nice. Pricing was less at a local high end department store, though.

XL Wellys fit great into an 11 mens boot. The feet/legs get a little snug if you wear socks and pants tucked in. My only cation is if your legs are larger or have big calves, it might be a tight fit. The Welly socks make the boots more comfortable and keep your feet warm. This is perfect for enjoying Hunter rubber boots in colder weather and give the boots a new look.

For those concerned about sizing, I wear an 8 or 8 1/2 and ordered a medium sock, and it was a little big in the foot--probably nothing a couple of washes won't fix or maybe an extra pair of socks. The length is perfect. Definitely don't get the large! The charcoal is a bit lighter than I expected, but I still like the color.

The socks make the boots warmer and more comfortable for winter. Be aware that they do take up a lot of room in your boots.

These work with other (non-Hunter) boots, although they are a little tall. I wear a 7 and the youth medium fits me perfectly.

The welly socks were absolutely perfect for chilly winter days. I'm so ready for Winter to come so I can continue using them! Charcoal looks like mossy green-- I didn't mind this but wanted to put this out for others.

These are great inside my Hunter Boots, but it is true that with the socks on it is a bit tight to also tuck in your jeans. They do keep your feet nice and warm in fall and spring snows. Winter in Minnesota I still opt for the heavy duty boot.

I love them, but I have muscular calves and wide feet so the extra fabric makes it hard to put on and take off my boots. Also, they are loose fitting, so it is difficult to wear alone and keep your pant leg tucked in. All in all they are great for warmth, but I wish they were a little more fitted.

The socks look great but I haven't worn them due to the color. The charcoal socks are actually light grey and they do not go well with the grey boots I purchased. I will be returning them.

Welly Socks - These socks do not fit as well in other types of Wellie boots other than Hunter. They are not as warm as I thought they would be either. However, they do make the boots more comfortable and eliminate the rubbing against your heel area.

Work well, but don't look great - These are fine- they really keep my feet warm in my Hunter boots during Chicago winters, probably better than any other thick socks do. I have to admit, though, I don't like the look as much as I thought I would. I think the boots look much better without, so if I lived somewhere warmer I'd probably skip these.

Warm, but not always the look I want - The Wellie Socks are definitely warm and fit into the boots perfectly, but there's no chance of fitting the boots and socks over pants or jeans because there's just no room left! So I was a little disappointed in that. I will most likely wear the Wellie Socks with the boots when I have a skirt or dress on.

Not Warm Enough - This winter has been rough with the snow and these socks along with the wellies have done the trick. Great comfort and style, but not warm enough for the winters here (could improve the thickness). My name is Hunter, so I had to have the best and I am also from the Thornhill area where the socks are made, but I'm not biased. Tee Hee!

Fuchsia Boots - It's true, don't fight it: order the boots in a half size smaller or you will have to return them. Even then, as a regular size US 9 in all other shoes and a US 10 in boots, I had to order a 38 and wear thick socks ALONG WITH the wellies, which are super soft by the way. Overall, my feet have never been warmer or drier in the rain or slush than they have been with these boots.

Love my Wellie socks - For cold wet NW winter weather wellie socks are the key to enjoying my wellies. I wear the wellie socks on over my regular socks and I am warm and comfortable. Without the wellie socks, even with my warmest wool socks on, my wellies are too cold in winter weather. When it warms up some, I'll probably switch to wearing cotton socks with my wellies and wellie socks and when it's still wet but warmer, still I'll probably wear one or the other with my Wellies. There are seams on the wellie socks that I'm not sure I'd like without socks, but they may be alright, but for that reason I gave them 4 rather than 5 stars for comfort. I completely agree with the advice to pull on your wellie socks and get them lined up first to make sure all the seams are in the right place and then pull on your boots. The other handy thing about the wellie socks is that they make it a lot easier to tuck jeans into your Wellies. Just pull the wellie sock up over your pant leg (easy to do) and then your boots slide right on over the wellie sock. This is especially helpful when wearing non-skinny legged jeans that would otherwise be difficult to tuck into your wellies.

Seemed too big. I wanted to love them, I really did. But the feet were huge, I could see that the seams on the feet would irritate, and it was way too high (I ordered an 8 boot and an 8, or large sock).

I was very disappointed with these Welly socks and couldn't believe no one had had a bad experience before me. They have seams on the inside that are so thick that I feel them when I walk. I had to turn the socks inside out but then the Hunter labels were no longer visible. I'm not sure if other buyers were wearing socks on the inside or not but I wore them alone and did not like the feel on the inside at all. They did keep my feet warm, in fact they got a little sweaty, so it's a great idea if you want to wear your Welly boots all year long.

They keep my feet warm, but the seams on the bottom of the sock feel weird. I occasionally walk my dog in my Hunters, and after a ten minute walk my feet are definitely uncomfortable where the seams are. For just milling about the garden, they're fine. But they look absolutely adorable.

Great, but too expensive - I really do love the look and feel of this product, but as someone with the ability to sew who has access to a sewing machine, I don't think I'll ever buy another pair. To pay $40 for something so simple to make constructed from an inexpensive material seems ridiculous. However, if you enjoy wasting your money or have too much to find something better to do with it, these are quite comfy and warm and they look smashing with my Hunters (Hot pink boot/navy sock)! They do require washing every three or four wears, even if you wear secondary socks underneath. Sizing worked out well. My normal shoe size is US 7.5 B width, the size equivalent to a 7 in the Hunter boot and the medium sock.

Order UP a size! So, I think these are totally overpriced for what they are. They are essentially fleece socks. They are comfortable, but no different from a pair of plain fleece socks. Plus, I ordered the size that Hunter told me to go with size 8 womens and I think they are too small. The top doesn't fold over like it does in the demonstration. Unfortunately, I have already worn them so can't send them back.

A bit pricey for a tube of fleece! I ordered a pair of yellow liners to go with my black hunter boots (i ordered an 8, normally an 8.5/9, and they are a little roomy), in size medium as I'd heard they run large. I think i need to move up a size in the liner though, because they don't fold over as much as they should... you can still see the logo on the boot underneath. It's a cute look, but 35 bucks is a lot to pay for what you get! They're just loose socks, the picture kind of makes it look like they have an insole or something.

Disappointed - While I LOVE my Hunter boots, these socks are not at all what I had hoped for. They are awkward to put in your boots and the seams are placed right where your foot lands. This is not at all comfortable. You are much better off wearing your usual socks or a pair of over the calf winter socks. I would not suggest spending your money on the Hunter socks.

These Welly socks were too low for my Hunter boots. After searching the Zappos site for the M/L replacements to no avail, I called Zappos customer service. The rep was not at all helpful, claiming that all medium socks were the same. I explained the difference between M/M and M/L, but she couldn't grasp the concept and couldn't help me with the return process. Unimpressed.

Seams seem defective - Have purchased Hunter Wellie socks directly from Hunter in the past and the seams are like normal socks - with a toe box and smooth foot. These have a weird seam going up the front and are cut as if to fit an elf with a pointy foot. Very weird. Returned these immediately and paid more to reorder from Hunter.

Cute but uncomfortable! These socks are cute and warm, but the seam goes up the middle which is super uncomforable. Don't waste your $$$. I am sending mine back.
