Cute but smelly - These shoes are so comfy! I bought myself a pair and loved them so much that I went out and bought a pair for my sister and also a pair for my mom. I love the versatility...the only issue I have is that they smell like funk after awhile. You wear them a few times and your feet start to smell. Buy some Lysol, spray it in before you wear them and you'll be good to go.

I bought these in my normal size, 8, and found they were a tad short. I might return for an 8.5. I also agree with some other reviewers that the heel rides a bit high. I wore them around the house for 30 minutes and got a blister on one heel...so I will probably return altogether. I wish Nike would make the heel shorter in the back and I would definitely get them in my right size.

Love these Mary Janes - Comfort is the key word for these sweet shoes. Great with jeans and capris, they're just dressy enough to add a little sparkle to your feet. I'm grateful to Nike for applying their gift for comfort to a slightly spiffier shoe.

Snazzy look - I love the look and color of the shoe. I bought the khaki and white floral. It is comfy to wear, but kind of disappointing to walk in. It has no arch support or shock absorption. I thought they would be good for walking and sightseeing, but really they are better for lounging and lunch. You ladies know what I mean!

They run small - On another website it says to order 1/2 size up which is good advice.

Fun Shoe - I have 2 pair of Nike Free Mary Janes that work well for me. They are attractive. They painlessly accommodate my flat feet (12AA, bunions, hammer toes) while provide very good support for a casual shoe. The wide velcro strap holds the foot firmly in place and prevents it sliding forward when I'm walking. The Nike air heel provides wonderful cushioning. It is a comfortable, nice-looking shoe that doesn't cause wear and tear on my tender toes. Yea! Comfortable, unclunky walking shoes are hard for me to come by, but these are keepers.

This is a "Nike Free" product - This is a "Nike Free" shoe which means that it is meant to conform to your bare foot. Therefore, if you are lacking an arch or have any other foot issues, this shoe will probably be very uncomfortable. After watching a talk show that highlighted the Nike 5.0, I bought a pair because I love to go barefoot. Soon after working out in them (which was recommended on the shoe), I had intense pain on the ball of my right foot. After seeking medical attention from a podiatrist, I was informed that because of my foot structure which lacked an arch and showed a disjointed bony protrusion, that I should no longer wear this type of shoe. But because I wanted a "throw on" shoe for quick trips to the store, I bought this Mary Jane which is stylish and provides enough comfort for minimal walking and standing, especially if you insert any number of store bought orthotics for added support (this shoe accommodates them very well).

Read about Nike FREE before you buy - I read several reviews where people complained about lack of support - these shoes are designed that way! Nike FREE technology is intended to mimic barefoot running, i.e. no support. If you are looking for a support shoe this is not for you.

Definitely NO support - I wanted a cute mary jane for walking around a lot (trip to Disney World). I loved the look of this shoe, but it has absolutely NO arch support, which is horrible for my flat feet! I still wanted it because it was so cute (when my foot wasn't rolling inward!). I bought some drugstore orthotics and popped them on top of the insoles that came with the shoe and had an easier time walking around. Did get some rubbing around the strap and heel, nothing a few band-aids couldn't cure, but after I wore it a few days, it's perfect. Still I wouldn't wear them as an everyday shoe or I get plantar fasciitis.

An athletic shoe for couch potatoes. I love the look of this shoe. I am having a really hard time finding anything at all that my sensitive feet will tolerate. I wanted a comfortable shoe with cushioning and arch support as I spend a lot of time on my feet. I need a wider toe box and narrower heel and I was thrilled that it fit. To my huge disappointment, when I put on the shoe and stood up, my feet rolled in slightly (a first for me even in flat, flats.) My foot and knees were uncomfortable just standing. I looked at the hot pink insert which is removable and is molded to look like there is arch support but it immediately went perfectly flat with 140lbs of weight. I really liked this shoe but it is not a shoe I can use without orthotics or custom inserts. I am hoping I will find a way to make these shoes work since the size and shape work and it looks like there is room to use orthotics. I hate to let go the chance that I can make this cute, sturdy shoe with a roomy toe box work.

Cute but that's it - In the store, the shoe felt good. I have wide feet so the rounded toe box of this style seemed to fit well. The first day I wore them, I did wear socks as I was afraid of potential blisters. Within a few hours of wearing them, my feet ached. The arch support is nearly nonexistent; the velcro strap made my foot throb and required a looser adjustment, and the top of the shoe, where the white trim is, made my feet sore and achy. I couldn't wait to take them off. They are cute and I received many compliments. I have not purchased an orthotic but I will and I think that may help with arch support. If your feet are wide, think twice. Even though the velcro strap is adjustable, after a while, even the loosest strap adjustment seems to cut off one's circulation.

Fun but flat - I LOVE the "out there" look of this shoe. However, Nike seems to have lost its' zeal in regard to support and foot health. There is absolutely NO support in this shoe! I'll probably buy a supportive insole to put in my pair 'cause they just boost my spirits when I wear them.

Very cute shoe, but no support . . . This shoe is very cute and fits pretty well, but is very soft and offers absolutely no arch support. (Surprising coming from an athletic shoe company like Nike.) These shoes are really more like slippers. The insoles they come with are a joke, so throw those away, insert your own orthotics, and you'll have a very comfortable casual shoe. Might be a pretty good airport shoe also, since there is absolutely nothing in them to set off the metal detectors.

Cute, but lacks support - This shoe is cute and comfy when you put it on. I get lots of compliments on this shoe. However, there is no arch support, it's a little bit flimsy and is not for a wide foot. It also causes excess sweating so it's not good without socks of some sort.

I wish I hadn't bought these. Within a day of wearing I needed to buy new insoles to raise my foot up because the heel rises to high and was rubbing against my Achilles tendon. Within three weeks the elastic strap was stretched out and the velcro itself was not sticking. And now, only a month and a half after I bought them, they're developing holes and tears along the seams of the (apparently fragile) fabric, where it meets the sole. Now I need to go buy some cute AND sturdy Keds for half the price I paid for these, like I should have just done initially. :(

Cute shoe, TERRIBLE fit - When I first put them on, I thought I was in heaven. Finally a cute comfortable shoe that won't trip me up while walking my dogs. FIVE minutes into the walk, the shoe stripped the back of my ankles raw. I was dying. It was absolutely horrible on the back of my ankles. I do NOT recommend this shoe if you're actually planning on taking a few steps in it.

Comfortable, stylish, just VERY DIFFICULT TO KEEP CLEAN! I bought the white mary janes, knowing they'd be a challenge to keep clean. But even with careful wear, and protecting them with a weatherproof coating product, they still get scuffed and dirty on a daily basis. I wash them on occasion by hand with detergent soap and have found that some sort of yellow glue product keeping the strap in place has started to leak out and stain the surrounding shoe surface which sucks. If you want to buy the Nike Mary Jane, don't buy white!
