Ordered these at same time I ordered another pair of Merrill Moab Ventilators, because I’ve used low cut Keens as my daily shoe working as a home health therapist and wanted to see how they felt as a 3/4 boot. I wear a 9.5 and the Keens were just too short and narrow at that length. Should have ordered a half or full size up. Returned them and staying with the Merrills. Good styling and attractive boot, but just didn’t fit.

As other reviewers have said, you should order 1/2 size up, as they are a bit smaller than average for the shoe size.

Previous pair was excellent and perfectly fit size 10. This current version is definitely a bit smaller so order half size up. Customer Service as always was excellent!! Why buy shoes from anywhere other than Zappos!

Very nice fitting, true to size. I really like the weight, however I would prefer a bit stiffer sole. Will probably add 'Superfeet' greens to beef that up. If after my first really long hike in them and I still feel the same I will buy another pair to put on the shelf in case they decide to change something!!

Great boot. The comfort is good and the look is good, the only issue with the boots, and the majority of them as well, is that the longer you're on your feet, walking, etc. the more your feet will begin to ache, this is quite unlike hiking, surf, or athletic footwear. I think the way to remedy this is to have softer plantar sole cushions. No complaints though, it is a sharp looking boot and The fit is excellent.

These are excellent boots with a great wide fit. 10EW in a Wolverine is a 10½M in a Keen. My only gripe is hot feet by the end of the day. They just do not breathe like the discription says. I have been wearing this pair for about two years and they hold up well.

Very breathable. Good shoe. Not great. Not as much arch support as other Keens I've had. That was disappointing and makes the shoe not as comfortable as I'd like.

Keens are one of the few boots that fit right out of the box. You might think them a little odd looking as they are boxy in the toe but they are one of the most comfortable boots you will ever buy. I wear them everyday and the only gripe is that the sole separates into pieces on me well before the upper wears out. I do wear them for work so this is not their intended use. I need a new pair every year and keep buying them. Very lightweight, they are not suitable for extended pack trips with a heavy pack as the support is not there but keen makes boots for that purpose. Overnight, day hikes and all around wear are what these are for and they excel at that. I have very hot feet and the non-waterproof Keens provide enough ventilation with lightweight Smartwool socks that even in the 100 degree North Carolina summer my feet never get wet. The waterproof Keens on the other hand do not breath as well as gor-tex gtx and are not as waterproof, imho, but are just as comfortable as the non-waterproof versions. Seems to run a little small so I would order 1/2 size up.

Wide toe box, sturdy construction, kept my feet dry on Yosemite's mist trail in the rain! Great boots, and they've been holding up to some real punishment. 1 major complaint: the insole is weak, and has poor arch support in the wrong place for me. These are the first shoes I've worn in years that gave me plantar fasciitis twangs. I took out the insoles and put some cheap memory foam insoles in last minute before a hike, and that felt a lot better.

Tried 2 pair of Merrell Moab Ventilators which did not fit properly and decided to give these a try. These shoes feel almost like a slightly heavy sneaker. Can't wait to get them on the trail. I usually wear wool socks anyway so waterproof was not a priority for me. Only improvement I can see that could be made would be to drop the top lace hooks slightly. Or, make the tongue 1/2" longer. I did order 1/2 size up from my normal size after reading many reviews of the Keen brand. That is why I am marking it feeling 1/2 size smaller than marked.

Very comfortable, requiring virtually no break-in. I got these while rehabbing from ankle fusion surgery and they are great. They are very light yet, with great support. I docked them a star because of sizing. I measure needing a 12.5, I ordered a 13 and it was short. I had to return them for a 14 and thick socks. I just don't get why shoe manufacturers can't make shoes to size. Zappos support was awesome! I called to return them Tuesday night and they were waiting for me when I got home from work the next day!

I do like the way these fit and look 100% but I've had 5 pairs of this exact model and color and every pair has had the soles delaminate.

Love the toe spacious toe box of the Keen's. First pair I've purchased. Unfortunately, the rubber cement used to stick on the actual tread is coming loose and has caused several close call trips. Not impressed with this feature.

Seems to be well made. However my toes touched the the front of the boot. Half size larger would have made the difference but since larger sizes (14) are not offered in half sizes I will be returning for a refund. Thanks Zappos for your liberal return policy.

So, I really wanted to like these boots. I need multi-purpose boots for wearing in the desert as well as hiking in the mountains. As a military guy, needed something that would be nice enough to wear while traveling and could take a beating on the ground. While I don’t doubt these boots could take a beating, they simply are ugly boots. The toe box is huge with an odd rubber wrap around that makes it look like an afterthought. As far as size, they were big - real big. Depending on the brand of shoe, I wear a 13 or a 14. I ordered the 14 and wish I would have gotten the 13, although a 13.5 (which no one makes) would have been perfect. Since I really did not like the look - back they went.

This the second pair of Keen Voyageurs I have purchased. They are very comfortable. If they weren't so comfy I wouldn't have bought another pair based on my experience with the first pair. The soles came off and I had to glue them back on. (Duco cement works real well for this job) I ordered replacement laces in June and finally got them in November. I note that my new pair were made in Thailand instead of China. Maybe the quality will be better. Bottom line: My feet like Keen boots. It is amazing what one will tolerate when ones feet don't hurt. Original Voyageurs came apart.(minus one star) Took five months to get replacement laces. (minus one star) I also have a pair each of Keen Detroit Soft Toe and a pair of Revel. No complaints yet on these.

I would like this shoe a lot if it were available in a wide. As it is, I wore it for a couple of months and then gave the pair away. Just killed my feet.

I like the look of these shoes, and I have owned Keen slip-on cogs since he company first started selling them. However I've had some issues with the hiker's. This pair was a replacement for another pair that developed a strange lump in the soles, that I could feel while walking. I was thankful for this replacement from Zappos, but these now have a click on the right shoe that has not gone away. It's like I have a rock stuck in the sole of the shoe, but there is no rock, and it makes the sound even on carpet. I'm afraid they might be developing that bulge again in the sole on the same shoe. These stylish boots, and were comfortable out of the box. I fear the quality of Keen might be going down as they start mass-manufacturing them. Which is a similar experience I had with Vasque and Scarpa in the past.

I initially found the shoes to be much better than the last pair of Keens that I bought. The last ones were one of the pair named after a city, I believe 'Cleveland ' was the name. I am a general contractor that does a lot of work on ladders and I am on my feet all day. I have worn red wings for years but I find I want a lighter boot with a lot of comfort. The new Keens broke down quickly. The sole have begun to come off of the uppers, and there appears to be little or no shank support. I cannot where them while working on ladders. I will probably use them for light duty work around the shop and such, but not for construction work.

I wish I had known that these boots are not waterproof. (Who makes non-waterproof boots these days anyway?) I only found out when I stepped in a creek and felt the water come right through the mesh parts. I cannot return them at this point, but I would not have bought them if I had known. Otherwise these boots are comfortable and wide enough for my extremely wide feet.

I am a long time Keens fan but these are no quite hiking boots and really not athletic shoes. I find my ankles tire easily in them because the tongue and ankle support are so low down. Not their best work. I will stay around for one more try.

I am presently in the midst of through hiking the A.T., and I'm wearing these boots. I love the fit of these boots. In fact, I've tried other boots and keep coming back to these Keens. That's the good. The bad is that I am gearing up to buy my fourth pair. These boots just don't last. I'm only getting approximately 400-500 miles to a pair. All three pairs I've worn out here have failed for the same reasons. The sole peels off. I keep coming back because they are the only boot that seems to fit my abnormally high arches and my wide foot.

The pros: the wide toe box and light weight make them very comfortable. They look pretty snazzy, too. The cons: the footbed is thin and too flexible, so you feel every little rock. The outer sole is quite poor; it's slick and prone to falling apart. Keen would be wise to go with Vibrams. Overall, these are nice if you don't ask too much of them. They're really only for easy to moderate day hikes.
