I found the straps in this sandal too lightweight, so my foot slid to the front of the shoe bed too far. It is very pretty however, and maybe this problem is just my foot.

So bummed - I absolutely LOVE Donald Pliner shoes. They’re all so well made, stylish and comfortable. It seems like every single time I wear a pair of Donald Pliner shoes, strangers compliment me on them. This is the first pair ever that I wish I could return. The heel strap will not stay up - no matter how tight I buckle it. I, of course, refused to believe a pair of Donald Pliners would not be perfect in every way, so I wore them 4 times before having to admit defeat. They are super cute, and comfortable to walk in for a few steps before becoming incredibly annoying when you have to reach down and pull up the heel straps. Again. And again. And again. I am so bummed.

Has something happened at DJP? I generally have great luck with DJP shoes - they usually fit well and are very flattering on my average-looking feet. This year (and last year), I have absolutely struck out. I usually buy about 4 pairs a season, but this year I could only find two that I even liked - this one and the "Viola" style. Both are a disappointment. These are only fairly cute and stylish, but not comfortable in any way - straps too tight on the top and heel strap way too loose and falls off continually. This is completely a design flaw - who designs a heel strap connected to the footbed of a shoe instead of on a post? I wish I had noticed before I wore them. The "Viola" shoes are moderately better comfort-wise, but just so-so in the style department. I know there are more expensive shoes, but from DJP (and the average $250 on each pair that I spend) I've come to expect more, these are sooaverage, it's a bummer.

Problem shoes for me - I love Donald Pliner shoes and have purchased quite a few in the past. This is the first time I have had a problem and cannot wear the shoe!! The elastic stretched out and the straps don't stay on. I was out for the day and had to go to a local shoe store to buy a pair of shoes so I could finish my day of appointments.

Heel straps a problem - I also loved these shoes at first and they are very comfortable, but I keep having to make new holes for the heel strap because it keeps falling down. I can't make any more holes and the strap still keeps falling down. This is my first pair of Pliners that aren't great - now I have to find another pair of sandals to replace them, so don't waste your money.

Slippery - I don't like that the bottom does not have rubber but didn't give a thought to it when I bought them. Wore them to lunch and almost fell they are to slippery and probably won't wear again.
