The Best Running/walking shoe - I have been buying Asics's Gel-Kayano for many years and they are extremely comfortable. Running in them for many hours at one time is very easy.

Worth every penny to prevent knee pain - I love the updated Gel-Kayano 14. I used to run in 2110s but the updated 2120 didn't suit me (they got stiffer or something). Went to my local running store to get new Kayanos for upcoming 10K but they only had the new version. Luckily it works great for me! Such a difference on my knees when I run in new shoes. I wear an 8.5 in regular shoes and a 9 in these (and all Asics).

Prepare 4 Take Off! I couldn't do my daily run without my Asics and I wouldn't want to do it without this top of the line model. It's a high octane shoe that propels me down the trail. And buying through Zappos eliminates the drudgery of driving to a box store in hopes they may or may not have the right shoe. I'd rather be running!

Arch hits in the wrong spot - I wore this shoe around my home for a 1/2 hour. I ordered a 9 1/2 wide. Fit perfectly. Good support--great looking. I have a wide foot with a very high arch. The arch in this shoe is farther back near my heel. It just isn't in the right place for me. Sadly, I had to send them back.

Great shoe - This shoe is awesome. I have heel spurs and this is the only shoe that makes walking bearable again. I cannot tell a big difference between this Gel-Kayano 14 and the past 13. Both are excellent shoes.

Perfect! These are the best fitting, most supportive, and most comfortable of any Asics I've worn in years. I go though shoes within a few months and have tried innumerable brands and many Asics styles. Love these! The chocolate/sky blue has the advantage of looking less like boats on my size 10 1/2 feet, another plus. I do wish Asics would make a more discreet looking, less flashy shoe with no reflective coloring. Not everyone wants that much attention on their feet.

Great running shoes! These are by far the best running shoes I have ever owned! I have high arches and they give me great support. Very comfortable and light weight.

Great running shoe. Not comfortable with my prescription orthotics, but arch support is pretty good, so it hasn't been an issue. Wide width has roomy toe box. Mesh is well-aerated and seems like it would be really comfortable on hotter days.

Comfort shoe!! These shoes are fantastic. They keep my foot straight, support my heel and make me feel like I can walk a million miles. Well worth every penny they cost!

Asics...quick review - I've only had these shoes for a very short period of time. They felt about a 1/2 size shorter than marked and may be a smidgen narrower through the broadest part of the shoe than marked. They feel fairly comfortable overall, but I've not spent a whole day on my feet on concrete in them yet. Would prefer they didn't have the metallic shine to the trim. If you wear a longer shoe, they do not appear as long as they actually are. Overall, a good shoe so far. Not sure how they might compare to a less expensive pair, as my old ones were very worn out, so no comparison.

Awesome if you need control - I love these shoes -- but they're definitely for runners who need more control. I knew that and bought them anyway. (I need a more neutral-cushion shoe for running.) They're very comfortable to wear otherwise -- and so cute, too!

Lots of structure! I am an Asics fan. These have so much structure. Took me a week to get used to them, now I find them incredibly comfortable and actually look forward to putting them on and hitting the road.

ASICS Gel Kayano 14 - It was time to replace my running shoes, so I purchased the Gel-Kayanos. Last pair were ASICs GT 2120s. Gel-Kayanos are good, but deep. They come up too far on the side of my foot. I've had some problems with runner's knee and I actually think that this shoe made it worse. For the time being, I've parked the Gel-Kayanos and I'm back in my GT 2120s. The runner's knee has subsided. If I could do it all over again, I would just buy another pair of GT 2120s or whatever the new version of that shoe is. Zappos service and selection are SUPERB.

Comfortable but Flashy - This shoe feels very comfortable but a bit too flashy for me. Unfortunately, because of the "high profile" look, it will be going back.

My 2nd pair of Gel-Kayano’s - My first pair was a 10 and I was ready for another pair. I went with the 14 because the reviews on the 13 didn't look to good. I have to say that the 10s felt like pillows the first times I tried them on. The 14s are comfortable but not quite pillows. I've run in them about 5 times now and I hope they'll loosen up a bit more. I'm pleased although they cost more than I thought they would. And they're cute which is always a bonus.

ASICS's Gel-Kayano® 14 - Great shoes for comfort, especially if you have wide feet or pronate.

1st time Asics wearer - For the money they could have put a little more cushioning in the insole. I got the Wide and that is nice. I'm an Adidas LOVER and may go back for the cush. I went up a 1/2 size as recommended from another site. But the chocolate is a very nice looking shoe, if that matters.

Gorgeous shoe, but overpriced. Comfort...not sure - I wear a 10 1/2 AA and there aren't any athletic shoes in stores in my size. I always end up on www.zappos.com looking for shoes. I came across Asics, and began to read about the different types, plus I read customer reviews. I liked most of what I read about the Kayano 14, and the information about the construction of the shoe and the purpose of the design seemed to be what I was looking for. I really like the look of the shoe. It's no fun to be a woman with such a big foot, that athletic shoes look HUGE. This particular shoe is narrow enough across the toes, and has a nice slim look. I was disappointed with the insole. It felt thin and hard, with not much arch support. I am going to give them a try, but I will probably end up replacing the insoles.

Comfort Cush - This is my second pair of Asics Gel-Kayano. Love the comfort, fit and weight of the shoe. I always order a 1/2 size larger than my normal shoe size and they fit great. Overall a great shoe, except I did notice that the forefoot doesn't seem to be as cushioned. Will continue to buy Asics!

Good fit, gel cushion comfortable - The fit is good for me, because I have a narrow foot. The gel cushioning is very comfortable, and the shoe breathes well.

Nice shoe - This is a nice looking shoe. The insole is not as cushioned as my other Asics. It is pretty thin. There is not enough cushioning in the forefoot which surprised me. It will be fine, but I think I am going to put a different insole in it.

Had to return these - I was hopeful I'd found a narrow sport shoe in this, but I had to return these because they were too small. They initially felt good, but after wearing these a half hour in the house, my feel felt like they had a straight jacket on, despite all the cushioning! Also, I would have liked better arch support - these seemed to have less arch support than the Asics GT2130.

Worth the investment - Great for overpronators and the sole is supportive, but extra firm. They'll need breaking-in, but the long-term support is worth the investment as Asics soles tend to have a long life. Good for anyone with knee pain and who needs more cushion.

Higher on the heel - I really wanted to love this shoe!!! I'm an ASICS devotee but this one just didn't do it for me. I have a narrow foot and am a smaller girl and for some reason this shoe seems really high on my ankles. Am ordering 2 other pairs of ASICS as they are the best running shoe in the world!!!

Order up at least 1/2 size - I have the Kayano 12 version in a 9.5 (medium) which have worked well for me. So I ordered the Kayano 14 in a 9.5 as well, but this time I ordered a narrow (I have very skinny feet). The Kayano 14's were way too short- I'm sending them back and will move up to a 10 (or possibly a 10.5). I have a narrow foot and the narrow width was fine until I replaced the insoles with my orthotics which took up too much room - so I will be going back to a medium width.
