This is a great bag, don't get me wrong, but after only a couple of months of use the rope part of the bag is coming apart. It looks really bad. I don't think it takes away the strength of the bag, but it just looks really bad. I contacted Kavu about it and told them about the issue. They were really cool about it. Unfortunately, because I've used the bag, I can't send it back to Zappos or even attempt to send it to Kavu. I'll have to put this one in the back of the closet or send it off to Goodwill. Loved using it while traveling to Hawaii and also as a pseudo-diaper bag.

I absolutely love this bag! I've had a kavu rope bag for over 2 years and it holds up really well. I'm a college student and I use it to carry a notebook and my laptop. A large laptop can't fit in it, but if you have a netbook it's perfect. I'm small so a large bookbag was always uncomfortable for me to carry, so this is a great bag if you don't like to carry a large bag.

I love this bag. I am a nanny, but want to look super cool while toting around diapers, sippy cups, pretzels, camera, etc. I love the rope accents and the phone pocket. I end up carrying it even when I'm not working. Love it! And, I love Zappos. Why aren't more e-sites like Zappos? The site is so easy to navigate and the products are always tops, arriving in the speed of light.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this bag since I received it, and I have received many compliments on it! Even though it holds many items, they do not get lost.

I love this bag. The ropes are comfortable, and I love that there are two pockets. Perfect for bike rides, walks, hikes, and travel. I bike or walk to work and pack my lunch, dress sandals and whatever else I need in here. My only complaint is I would like more organization options, and the cell phone pocket would be nice on the ropes instead of on my back, so I can actually answer it on time! As always, Zappos was incredible on this order. Will never order clothing from anyone else.

I've had this bag for a week and so far I am very pleased. I use it as a purse, basically, to hold cell phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses, a small book, bottled water, etc. It's not meant to hold more than a standard purse or small satchel would. Also, my phone fits perfectly in the top outside pocket, and I use the other one for keys or lip gloss -- so no complaints here. If you're looking for a comfy, well-designed and hands-free bag for city, hiking, or just running around, this is perfect. I ordered mine in the caramel color, which I see is no longer available; that's too bad, because more color options would be awesome.

I have this bag in a print from last season and my step-mom loved it so much that I bought her one of the solid bags for her birthday. This bag is really cute and is perfect for outings with the kids. You can comfortably carry all your goodies and still keep both hands free for wrangling young ones.

Where has this bag been all my life? It's perfect! Holds all my stuff and doesn't slide off my shoulder. Doesn't feel heavy. I may get all of them.

This is one of the best bags in the world! Funky, stylin',easy access, unique (many will offer compliments), comfortable (rope does not cut into your shoulder), unisex look (a man could wear it) just love it! So did my mother, who Ended up getting the black (I have the khaki). Also, one may widen the cell pocket a bit by cutting a few threads and then my cell fit nicely! Too good to be true! Would buy another in green if it existed, but only two colors from which to choose. Kavu, are you listening? More colors more sales for you!

Bought this cute pink bag for my 7 year old for school and she just loves it! Easy for her to get on and off, so cool! A must have!

The best bag for travel, hands down. I've taken it canoeing and to Disney World in the last couple of weeks, and let me tell you - it's perfect. The strap is adjustable, so my husband could even throw it on his back at Disney (and I have the tan version, so it wasn't too embarrassing!) and even he said that it was comfortable and useful. The pockets are large enough to hold everything. In fact, I keep the essentials in one of the large pockets and the incidentals (gym lock, head bands, head phones) in the other. There is plenty of room for everything. My cell phone is too big for the front pocket, but I have a bottle of hand sanitizer in one and receipts in the other, both are convenient. The best part of this bag is that it fits ergonomically to your back, and even fully loaded there is no back pain. I'm buying another one in a different color, this bag is worth every penny!

Cool looking bag. I got the candy stripe and I just came back for the black bag...very useful and handy when shopping with my two young children. I just clip it to my cart and don't have to worry about someone swiping my bag. It is also very sturdy so I don't worry about messing it up as I do with my pricier leather handbags.

I ordered this bag for my 19 year old daughter for her birthday. She had seen one that a friend of ours had and she fell in love with it. My daughter is a college sophomore and has to carry so much to school, it's great to have a purse that simply slips over your shoulder. The bag arrived sooner than I expected--just in time for her birthday party. She loved it and that made me happy! Thanks Zappos.

This bag is awesome! I bought it for my recent trip to Haiti. Inside I kept my passport, money, phone, etc., as well as a first aid kit to help people as needed. I found myself continually grabbing the first aid kit. It was right in my reach -- so easy. It does not tell you that this is okay, but when I got home, it was filthy from all the work we had done. I washed it in the washing machine and let it air dry. It looks good as new. Only drawback, the cell phone holder on the strap is a joke. No phone I have is small enough to fit in there!

Kavu Rope Bag - I got this bag in white, I wish Zappos had a black one in stock or maybe a blue one, since I'm not normally a white bag person, but the bag isn't too bright, it is a nice white. I like the two pockets on the side and I also like the easy access pockets, one for my phone and chapstick, the other one for hand wipes or Purell, which you really need now a days in reach! The bag fits nice and feels good on the back. The only complaint I have is that the strap that I tighten, has no place for the extra strap to go. I hope I didn't get one that someone returned that broke; I'm sure Zappos would have caught something like that. Other than that piece hanging down on the bag, I really like it. If Zappos gets a black one, maybe I'll get that one, too! It isn't too big, nor too small. Perfect for my purse for outings. I'm looking forward to taking it to the Big E as my purse; I want to be hands free when I shop!

This bag is SO rad!!! I absolutely LOVE it! I have the sea blue color. The two, spacious compartments are so practical. The designated area for your keys and phone on the exterior are so convenient; I can grab my phone in a snap! I'm a climber/kayaker/rafter/hiker, so I needed a durable, convenient bag. This bag definitely sufficed! Totally recommend it! Great job Kavu!!!

Big Hit - My niece was very excited and proud of her rope bag. No one in town had them and she was surprised when she opened it.

This bag is super cute, but I’ve had a few problems with it. First, I do wish it could be worn on either shoulder. I picked this bag up because I often had back pain from my purse. The bag didn’t seem to help the pain, but I feel like if I could switch shoulders throughout the day it would help. (Honestly though, I could probably carry less stuff!) The second issue I had is a rip where the zipper is sewn on to the small front pocket. The fabric pulled away from the zipper, though the pocket was not stuffed and it shouldn’t have happened so quickly. I reached out to Kavu and they replaced the bag, downside is they didn’t have the same pattern and I ended up with on that I just don’t like as much.

I chose this bag to take on vacation to Alaska. It is handy because it is compact, and lightweight. I could fit my iPad in the larger side. I like the two sided feature. The strap was convenient. My biggest complaint is the external pockets are fairly useless. That was frustrating.

So close! This bag is close to perfect except one huge flaw - it is not for heavy use. I've had mine for only a few days, and I can already see the rope starting to unravel. It's a shame, because if Kavu could fix this, it would be beyond a doubt the perfect bag. It's comfortable, stylish, unique, and has oodles of space. It also stays on very well, which is a blessing for those of us with small shoulders or who need our hands free for wrangling small children (or pets). Please, Kavu, remake this bag with better ropes (and while you're at it, add maybe two more inner pockets and bigger outer pockets). Pretty please? If you do, I'll happily pay $10+ more a bag and buy 3, because I've yet to find a bag that fits so well and holds so much while looking so neat (and I've been looking for years). It was so close to awesome, I'm nearly in tears while packing mine up to return to Zappos.

Bought this for college but it's too flat and small. Will return it. Obviously this is designed for female (or skinny guys).

What I like about the bag is that it goes over the shoulder to leave hands free. It is roomy; I can take my wallet and fit my somewhat large camera in it so I don't have to lug an extra bag with me. What I don't like is that the 2 outer pockets are way too small for cell phone or much of anything else.
