The Cody is a terrific shoe. True to size, comfortable and does require a little break-in. I wear a "B" width which is hard to find.Quality is excellent and buying from Zappos is an excellent experience. I try to buy most of my shoes from Zappos. Allen-Edmonds is a great shoe even though a little expensive, but they do last and many can be rebuilt. I have 2 pair of the Cody, brown and black.

This is hands down the most comfortable and best looking dress shoe I have ever worn. I have worn several different brands before including Cole Haan, Bostonian, and Johnston & Murphy. While I have have enjoyed them all, especially J & M, this eclipses them all. You can see and feel the quality the moment they come out of the box. Allen Edmonds will be my shoe brand from now on. They are a little expensive, but you get what you pay for! Try them, you won't be sorry. On a side note, Zappos has the best customer service of any company I have ever seen. I work with the public, and they give the kind of service that is so important today. Awesome shoe! Awesome company!

What a shoe!
Since Allen Edmonds is one of the remaining shoes made in America, I decided to give it a try. I selected the "cody", and when they arrived, I was amazed at the good looks fit, and comfort that these shoes afforded. I would highly recommend them.

Wow, beautiful well made shoe. Quality that you don't find anymore. A US made product, yeah! Expensive but worth it, came in wide width. True to size, fit like a glove. Husband says it is very comfy, was his birthday gift. Picture does not do justice.

Love the look of the weave -
This is my second pair of Allen-Edmonds and I love them. The weave is very unique. They were true to size and well made. I am very hard on shoes and the quality of the shoe is evident. Very happy and will continue to Allen Edmonds in the future.

Just received a pair of Allen Edmonds Cody Loafers ordered from Amazon today. I bought my first pair a couple of years ago from Zappos. Loved the fit, finish and classic styling of my first pair. The pair I received today were so cheap looking as to look like counterfeits. Uneven leather color. Both were 8.5 D but everything about this new pair was different. Each of my old shoes weighed 1.2 pounds and the new ones were 1.0 pound a piece; the fit was not good. I hope these are counterfeits! If they are not, Allen Edmonds has really gone downhill. If I pay this much for a pair of shoes, I expect quality shoes. Sent them back today.

Comfort out of the box was compromised as they felt tighter than I expected, but the leather is stretching so in time they will be perfect. I'm a big fan of Allen Edmond's shoes, this is my 6th pair.

Gorgeous, top quality, everything you expect - If you're already an Allen-Edmonds owner, then these shoes will neither surprise nor disappoint. They deliver the extremely high quality and classic style you expect from this maker. I've noticed that A-E's quality has not always been consistent in recent years. These shoes have the quality A-E was built on. Construction is flawless, especially in the braided-leather toe plug and trim – absolutely perfect. This is what Allen Edmonds ownership is all about!

Very well made shoe and size and width accurate. For me the shoe was too tight across the top to the point it was painful. We have a local AE store who did some minor stretching at no cost and now they fit like a dream. Customer service, even though I did not buy from the store, was outstanding.

Great shoes. I've worn them 3 days so far, but my high arch has made these a bit uncomfortable during break in phase. The low tongue has no give, with my tall feet feeling a bit pained at end of day. I'm sure they will loosen up over time.
