I ordered these shoes based on the mostly glowing reviews of others but I should have paid attention to the reviews that pointed out all their problems. Unfortunately, these problems do not become apparent in time to send the shoes back or these would have been shipped back in a heartbeat. The right shoe seems to be built strangely, my foot just can't "settle" in. I think another reviewer found that her right shoe was actually narrower than the left. The tongues of both shoes shift to the outside, rubbing the top of the foot. The pretty "lollipop" color bleeds onto the rest of the shoe. Sometimes when you look down at your feet from a certain angle, you would swear that you have the shoes on the wrong foot. They look like they should be the other way around, but only from a certain angle. I've been a big fan of New Balance for years, starting with the 843 but have been very disappointed in their products lately. Seems like they keep fiddling with things and, in my opinion, not improving at all.

Not as good as the 1122's save your money -
Ok, I have given this shoe almost a year, and I still feel that the 1122 is MUCH better than this overpriced narrow shoe. Due to an injury I wear a 4E, and this shoe is NOT as wide as the the 1122. Shame on NB, why did you have to go and change the shoe? Don't waste your money on this shoe, order something cheaper; the 1123 is not worth the price! My husband has also worn NB for years and he now has to order a wide size due to their shoes now running narrow.

Adding another pair to the collection of useless shoes -
Like all the others (many New Balance, Mephisto, Ecco Receptor, Brooks Addiction, etc.) I have purchased for walking, this shoe fails the test of walking 1.5 miles. All of them claim to be "stability" or "motion control," both of which are sorely needed here because of narrow, flat, bony feet and pronated ankles.
This NB at least has forefoot padding, but it is not a comfortable shoe. After wearing for about an hour, arches, ankles, and lower calves hurt--a lot. After wearing for several hours, the pain is unendurable. Feet still hurt the next morning!
This is probably the least comfortable NB shoe of any that I have purchased. Obviously, I would not recommend it.

Very disappointed -
I have plantar fasciitis; these shoes were recommended by a doctor at a supposed non profit website. I am waitress so I'm on my feet all day, these shoes were more miserable than my regular shoes, I even had my orthotics in them, wore them at least 10 days to give them a chance. For some reason it seems to make the plantar fasciitis worse. What a waste of money!

This shoe HURTS -
My first pair of New Balance shoes and they hurt no matter how I lace them. The store first fitted me with an EE, now I'm in a D. The heel feels too loose, the toe box is BIG, and the sides of my feet are killing me! I am not impressed.

The NB WR1122 was great. I was greatly disappointed with NB WR1123. When I when to a shoe store to try on another shoe, I was introduced to Aetrex insoles that absolutely saved me. These insoles are also sole by Zappos. They give the arch support that no longer is available in the NB WR1123. My newest pair is NB WR993GL.
I just assumed I would need my insoles.

These were recommended by a podiatrist. They are ugly, clunky and did not stand up well. The arch support was gone quickly. Zappos took them back, proving their exemplary customer service! I love Zappos!

I got these on my doctor's recommendation to deal with the pain in the ball of my foot. They are clunky and ugly, but felt good the first few days. However, by the end of the 2nd week, the arch support was gone. Too much money for so little wearing time.

Walking Shoe -
I'm not happy with this sneaker. They're uncomfortable in the toe area, even though there is room. The bottom (ball) of my foot hurts when I do my 35 minute walk. They were comfortable in the house, but when put to the true test of walking outdoors, I was very disappointed. Also, they did not give me the much needed support for my back. I had lumbar surgery 3 years ago and these are not working as well as my old New Balance. Overall, not worth the price I paid.

Disappointed -
I had bought all the 1122's I could find when I heard they were to be discontinued and was hopeful that the 1123 would be a suitable replacement and ordered 3 pairs! I will be returning the two I haven't worn! They do not offer the comfort or support the 1122's did. The color is also a disappointment. I desperately wanted to like this shoe, but it's impossible and NB doesn't make anything that meets the challenges of a super-wide over pronating flat foot anymore!

Worst shoe I have ever bought -
NB should have left the 1122s alone! This shoe is miserably uncomfortable! No arch support, no cushioning, no padding, NOTHING! I am a nurse, I stand/walk for 12hrs straight. I need support and cushioning. I LOVED the 1122s, they lasted forever. If I hadn't already worn these twice, I would send them back in a heartbeat! What a waste of money!

The new 1123, which replaced the 1122, is horrible! The manufacturer changed the shoe so much from the predecessor that it is nothing like the old one. The sizing is not the same, the fit is not the same, and the "lollipop" color bleeds all over the white mesh. And it’s much more expensive than the old version. I am truly disappointed in New Balance.

I started wearing NB shoes about 9 years ago. My first pair were the 1121's and were the most fabulous shoe I have eve worn. Of course that was the only pair I owned, because they quit making them. I still wear them around the house to paint in and general cleaning at home. Then I bought the 1122's and have been wearing them for years. I have arthritis (pick a spot) and am on my feet all day as a nurse. The 1122 is a great shoe. The 1123 is awful. After 2 days of wearing them my feet, especially the bottoms, my knees and legs ached all night. Why does NB change a good thing?
I wish they would leave the shoes alone. What will I wear now? I have high arches and my feet tend to roll over to the medial side. I will certainly keep Zappos busy trying and returning shoes. Disappointed in Indiana
