Great fitting comfort - This is a great fitting shoe for me. It is a true EE width and has plenty of toe room. It is very stable and has the best cushioning I have ever had in a shoe. There is also plenty of room for my orthotics. I will purchase this show again before NB changes it.

Very comfortable shoes! I love these New Balance. They're very comfortable and have great arch support. The look is a little clunky, but I don't care as long as they feel good. I have plantar fasciitis and these shoes provide the support I need

I like to call these shoes "magic shoes." I am training for the Breast Cancer 3-day. After being *professionally fitted* and going through two pairs of crappy, feet-killing shoes, I decided to purchase these on a whim. If they didn't work, I'd send them back. I put them on and IMMEDIATELY noticed a difference. VERY supportive, and they keep me from overpronating. They definitely look funny, but they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.

Normally wear a 12WW but in this New Balance need a 13 and the 4EEE was not satisfactory. Although it fit my needs with toe box, heel, etc., was attractive, supportive and comfortable in other ways, there are knots on the inside seam where the materials join that are very hard and irritating. Another pair might be more comfortable and may be that my toes turn in more than this shoe can accommodate, but am having to return these and cannot recommend if you have toes that turn in. There are so many styles of New Balance available in wide widths and Zappos is so accommodating, I'm sure that I will find the right one with a smoother inside.

Great fit perfect out of the box. Surprised to find that they were so gold thought they'd be tan. Didn't mind the gold but the very plastic-y heel was not so attractive. Doesn't seem like anyone else has a problem with it though, so maybe it's just me. Now looking for another pair of Naot that have the cork or black sole/heel. I am usually a 10.5 but ordered a 10 and it fit fine, if this shoe had a back or back/ankle strap would have tried an 11. Fellow 10.5's know what I'm talking about.

Funny looking, but wide enough! Finally, a shoe that is actually wide enough. I bought the 992s in a double wide (EE) in hopes that they would fit, but alas, they didn't and I had to return them. These shoes are actually wide enough for my size 11 EEEE feet, which is rare. I only wish that they had more shock absorption. The 992s are great in that regard, but are cut too narrow for me. These shoes are cute wider so that my fat foot can fit in them, but I do wish there was more shock absorption. I do think they have lots of support. My foot, and therefore ankle, knee, and hip tend to hold in place much better which is good for me. I've had hip replacement surgery on my right hip, knee realignment surgery on my left knee, broken my left heel, broken my right ankle twice, and had chronic plantar fasciitis. I have to have shoes that fit and are comfortable. These are the closest I can find. I do have stability and width. Now if New Balance could just make a shoe that actually combines width, stability, and shock absorption. They say these do it, but they don't. I'm still keeping them and continuing to search. As far as looks, they are strange. The pictures don't show it, but from the inside, they look like you're wearing them on the wrong foot, but I'll get used to that and since everyone is wearing the big, klunky MBTs, these aren't really all that bad. It's pretty hard to get an 11 EEEE in a sneaker to not look like a snow shoe anyway. Thanks Zappos - you're the best, as always.

Great Shoes! I have arthritic foot problems and need a large toe-box shoe along with a removable insole to accommodate orthotics. I also need a firm sole for support, so these shoes are perfect for me.

Very Comfortable - These look a little funny, but they are very comfortable. I am on vacation in Disney World and my feet don't hurt at all!

Comfortable Orthotic Sneaker - I have worn NB for years due to their quality shoe and narrow width. I decided to try something different as I kept ordering the same style. I usually wear a size 11, but decided to go one size up due to the orthotics I wear - they are huge and are custom made. I used to take the inner soles out to accommodate them, but going one size up in the WR1123 gave me a very comfortable-wearing, all-day shoe & allowed me to keep the inner sole in along with the orthotic. I like to keep my shoes clean appearing and these clean up very well with appropriate cleaner. I love them and will most definitely get this style again. Additionally, ZAPPOS is an awesome company; they definitely keep the customer #1 and provided me with a written reply back this time when I had a discussion with one of the employees. Awesome, A1, can't be beat customer service!!!!

Broken feet - I broke the 5th metatarsal on both of my feet in Jan-07. I have been doctoring ever since. I found that the NB1123 shoes helped a lot. I would highly recommend buying these shoes if you have any trouble with your feet. The roller bar is amazing.

Wow! Love them! I was leery of ordering this based on my allegiance to the W1122, which I loved, and the mixed reviews on this site. I have to say that I immediately fell in love with these shoes and find very little difference between these and my beloved W1122. I have flat feet with bunions and finding shoes that feel comfortable is impossible. I also am very fashion consciousness, but even though these are not attractive, my feet feel good when I walk or workout. I do use orthotics in my sneakers and they fix very well in these. As always, Zappos is the best. I ordered these on Thursday night (5pm-ish) and had them the next day using regular shipping. Thank you Zappos!

Love them, love the purple accents on shoe, my favorite... have very wide foot. The 4E is great and very comfy. Wish there were more 4E around in women’s shoes. Thanks NB!

Plenty of support and cushioning. Wide and comfortable. I was in physical therapy for plantar fasciitis, much heel pain and this shoe helped a lot. Inside is large to accommodate my orthotics. It’s a bit bulky and heavy, but I guess that's a trade off for the cushioning and support. I don't care much for the "platform look" to it, but I have to say, I do get a lot of compliments in general on the look of the shoe. A rep from Zappos recommended this shoe after I explained my needs and it was a very good recommendation! If you're on your feet all day for work or whatever – this is a great shoe!

This shoe is pretty comfortable. It's a little bulky, but that's because it's supposed to be super supportive, and it is! I really like this shoe. I really LOVED the 1122 though.

I love these! Like walking on clouds, they fit my orthotics, I got them a half size up and they are perfect. Very stable, cute, comfy. I think if you wear orthotics a half size up will do. Otherwise they would be true to size.

MARATHONS - not a problem with these extra wide styles - Doing a marathon requires a special shoe to provide the athlete with comfort and support for 26 miles. I wore the #844 for years and then it changed in how it was made and I needed to find another style that was available in the wider widths. I am still a NEW BALANCE fan, but I wish they wouldn't change how its made - it takes too long searching for a new style.

Help with heel spurs/plantar fasciitis - I would highly recommend this shoe. I have had severe pain from heel spurs and plantar fasciitis and with this shoe--I have made the first start to a normal life! I love the mesh up around the toe as it lets your foot breathe. This shoe also fits an orthotic I have. You'll love it... give it a try!

New Balance 1123 - I had worn new pairs of NB 1122 out and as they are no longer available I ordered the 1123. Very pleased great comfort I have arthritis in my feet and a bone spur. I can wear these shoes all day and not worry, my feet are well supported and pain free at the end of the day. Can recommend these for all day comfort.

Miss the 1122 - I love the look of this shoe, but it's not quite as good as the 1122 it replaced. The right shoe (tongue) rubs the top of my foot a little, but I loosen it if it starts to bother me. I think the tongue on that shoe just hits the top of my foot in the wrong place. For this reason, I would rank the 1122 was more comfortable, but I still like the 1123 shoe overall.

Great shoe with great support!!! I have almost completely flat feet and therefore need a lot of support. I took these shoes out of the box, put in my orthodics and was very happy. Zappos sent the shoe faster than any other on-line store I have used. Even though I didn't need the wonderful return policy, it is always great to have. I will be buying more shoes from Zappos soon.

Pricey but worth it - These are comfy right out of the box. Buying shoes is always iffy for me because I have "issues". . . wide flat feet with bunions and lots of overpronation. I like the cushiness, and the wide toe box gives me room to spread my toes. I got the wide width and have room to spare even with thick socks. These shoes are expensive and not necessarily cute, but I think the shoes are worth the money.

Best of the best!! New Balance WR1123 - I love New Balance and have worn them for years. When I developed plantar fasciitis 10 years ago, my sports med doc recommended stretching exercises and New Balance shoes and my foot condition healed. My last pair was 991 which I still have but was getting worn. They were my 2nd pair. I didn't care for the 992's so I tried the WR1123. They fit the closest to my 991's. I wear a size 9 in NB as I like more room in the toe when wearing sock. The 8 1/2 were a little snug with a sock. The NB1123 are comfortable and a perfect fit and have a nice wide toe box. Plus they look great!! Stability is great and the mesh material in front of the shoe keeps the 1123's light and airy. There is good arch support and a nicely padded heel. With being active in theatre, dance, walking and just being out and about every day, I need a good comfortable shoe that will let me enjoy the activities I do and not worry about feet that hurt. If you love your feet you will buy these shoes and order them from Zappos...fast delivery and exceptional extreme customer service.

Good, comfortable shoes - The shoes are very comfortable and I can wear them for very long periods of time without my feet starting to hurt. To me, that is wonderful!

NB23 - I had worn the older style NB1122. They were so comfortable, then when I thought to order a new pair, they were no longer made. I bought the NB1123 style, thinking they probably would not fit the same, but they are wonderful, so comfortable, and the same great fit.

Great shoe - This, and the model preceding it, is the only tennis shoe I have been able to wear. I love the width in the toe box. The motion control component has been wonderful. Not only do my feet hurt less, but I have less back pain.
