Great lightweight boot for fall! I own Frye boots, but wanted something lighter and not so hot. These boots are a great option for transitioning toward winter. Love the look with skinny jeans! I have high arches and they fit well. Can't wait to see how they look with a dress and tights! I have owned Rieker shoes before. Rieker's may feel lightweight, but they generally last a very long time and their leather looks new forever. This is a classic Rieker version of a boot. Great for people who love the look, but not the heavy weight of bulkier boots.

I think that they are usually pretty great looking, and I love that they have removable insoles, because my orthotics are a pain to fit into most shoes. These boots, however, are not for skinny legs. My calves were swimming in these, the material was just flopping around, and where the calf was supposed to be was way lower than where my calf sits. I have tried the "Sarina" ones and those seemed to fit better. Thanks Zappos!

These boots are wonderful. I bought the multi-colored version. Extremely comfortable and good in nasty weather. I've gotten many compliments and have even worn them with a skirt. When I first put them on, I noticed a little rubbing on my calf, but it either goes away or I stop noticing it. I need good arch support and this has it. They are among my very favorite shoe/boot purchases of all time. I highly recommend them.

My favorite boot! I lived in these boots all winter. They were very comfortable and had a European flare. They were a bit chilly when it got to -20F, but I was ok with that because I don't like my boots to be too hot. Not the best traction on ice.

Comfortable - The quality of the leather looks a little bit cheap to me but this does not affect the look, they still look dressy, they are very comfortable but I needed to use thin socks, which concerns me because in the cold weather I like to keep my feet warm. I tried to use thicker socks but it makes feel the boots very tight, especially on the top of your foot and it make them sore at the end of the day. I would love if this boots come in larger fit on the leg, at least below the knee; these ones are half calf fit.

GREAT BOOT! Bought this boot for my college aged daughter...she needed something warm and stylish...she LOVED the look and so far it has held up to Iowa winter snow days!

Great little boot! Put this on right out of the box and wore it all day. There is a small knot in the sole near the big toe, but it vanished after a few minutes of wearing. The leather is thin, but this is not a snow boot. This boot is for fall and spring or a dry winter day. I've had a lot of compliments. I like the soft leather, the comfortable toe box. Looks terrific with tucked in jeans. I have painful feet and as with all Riker shoe, this fit beautifully and felt great immediately. Light, comfortable and fun to run around and either do errands or wear to work. I'm very pleased with this boot.

Comfortable and stylish - I like these boots very much. The little metatarsal bump is very soft and I got used to it. The boots feel like comfortable slippers, but are basically supportive enough for normal city walking. And they are snazzy-looking with tights and a skirt and also under pants. My only complaint would be that they are not very warm.

The PERFECT color!! This morning I woke up complaining about how I sure needed some new comfortable shoes, and my husband whips my Christmas present out of his closet! I've only been wearing these this morning, and so far so good, but what I'm completely thrilled about is the color. While they're called "black" they seem ever so slightly very dark brown to me and I just realized that I'm going to be able to wear them as black OR brown boots! Two in one! Thanks, husband! (And Zappos too!) :)

Stylish, comfortable boot - Rieker are my favorite shoes, their styling is progressive and they are always very comfortable.

Comfy and practical - I really love these boots. At first when I put my foot in it, the contour felt weird, but that went away the minute I actually started walking in them. They didn't cause any discomfort or pain all day long. Nice looking & sturdy.

Best boots I own - I was very skeptical about ordering boots online without trying them on..however these are the best boots I have ever owned. These boots are sooo comfortable and stylish! I wear a 7-7.5 depending on the shoe and the 38 fit perfect. Zappos is the best to buy shoes from with the overnight shipping and they’re top notch customer service. They were really helpful and a truly great place to shop!

Great boots! I am a comfort maniac, and I love these boots. At first I thought that there wasn't enough padding under the balls of my feet, but they are great. I've worn them on trips including 5 hour airport sessions. The padding that's near the ball of the foot is called a metatarsal support. It's supposed to be there, I thought it felt odd when I tried the boot on, but no complaints, I'm sure it adds to the overall comfort of the boot. At first I wasn't sure if I needed a half size smaller than I usually buy, but I went with my usual size and I've been pleased.

Very comfortable right out of the box. As one reviewer mentioned, there is a lump near the ball of the foot, but it is in the insole and wears down quickly. Also, the insole can be removed and replaced easily. I’m a size 7, and size 37 fit well. I have scrawny calves, and these boots stay up and still look good. The front leather has a very slight padded lining, which keeps the shaft up and makes the boots slightly warmer than some of my leather only boots.

The Best Boot EVER - I bought these boots for an upcoming trip to Europe and needed something trendy and comfortable! I was hoping this would be the answer to my prayers - and they are! At first I was a bit worried when I saw the 12" circumference as I have fairly muscular calves, but there is a slight stretch at the top and fits my calve beautifully - even with tights on! The only caution I have (but nothing a little Dr. Scholl's can't fix) is that they could use just a tad bit more arch support...although not enough for me to send them back! I'm so excited - it's going to be a hot week in Europe! (Looks great with brown tights, cream tunic.)

I needed shoes for Europe and these seemed to fit the bill. Pros: I have the worst feet ever...hereditary bunions, high arches, weird toes. These boots are insanely comfortable. They are as comfy as sneakers, truly. Cons: The texturing on the back started wearing away almost immediately but I was okay with that because of the huge comfort factor but then the button holding the strap broke. These seem to be very common traits with this boot. I could not find anything as comfy so I traded for another pair! I will just have a cobbler secure the strap and I don't care about the texturing. They are that comfortable and they will go to Europe this April.

This boot is very pretty, soft and comfortable in fit. However, for a winter boot I did not find the toe area warm enough. This would make a good spring or summer boot. The arch support is not in the arch but forward, which I got used to after wearing in the house a little bit. I wound up returning them due to the warmth factor. I live in Oregon where it is rainy and the winter temperature runs in the 40s.

Nice boots but beware, the leather is paper thin. They used to have soft leather that was thicker, now it is still soft but thin.

Love these boots! So comfortable. I have thin calves and these work over skinny jeans. Great for a lot of walking, although they don't have a ton of cushioning. I agree with the other reviewers comments about the brown boots' texture wearing away on the back part of the boot. It's not very noticeable, but I've only had these for about a month so I'm wondering how much more is going to wear away. I love how they fit me, since most boot shafts are too big, but if I had been able to find some other options for better sizing, I would have gone with another and less expensive brand. The leather is really soft but so far they are wearing well (aside from the aesthetic wearing-away in the back of the boot).
