Zappos knows! The shoe fit just as I thought it would. I'm a fitness instructor and had to have new shoes immediately and Zappos shipped my express service at no extra charge to me. Zappos really knows how to treat a customer.

Cowgirl in a Past Life - Hey, Rykas are my shoe. What can I say? I have the Mary Jane, the N-Gage High Top or Instructor (I don't remember the name exactly). The high tops are my favorite for working out. Ryka is the only brand I use for workouts (going on 11 years now), and the Mary Jane is fabulous for shopping - so comfy. So, if you haven't tried Rykas yet, I honestly feel sorry for you! Go for it! If you don't have the right shoe, you won't continue on your journey to good health by working out. Having the "tools" makes all the difference!

Comfortable - Most comfortable workout shoe. Love the mid top.

Very Satisfied - I asked for this shoe for Christmas and have been enjoying it since. I use it indoors, at home, and do kickboxing. I ordered a size larger to have room for an insole. I usually wear a size 9.5 in reg shoes (10 in athletics shoes) for this I ordered an 11. I was a little worried, I've never bought an 11 before, but with the extra gel insole I put inside the size was just right. The fit is great; the extra height is not too high. The back part that lands on the tendons above the heel is very soft so it doesn't push against the tendons. Looking at the bottom, the shoe appears pretty wide, but the actual fit is very regular. I have regular width feet and find the shoe true to that (maybe even a bit on the narrow, but that could be because of the insole I added). I really like and recommend this shoe.

Cushion and comfort - Lots of support in the heel and arch. A little roomier in the toe box than I prefer.

A Bit Snug - The shoes were a bit snug the first time I wore them, but they have loosened up. I like the higher tops because I have weak ankles.

These shoes are fantastic - I have weak ankles, so I depend on KYKA to provide me with athletic shoes that have some ankle support but look distinctive, not like 1960's basketball shoes. These shoes also have a roomy toe box without looking clunky. They are very comfortable! I always buy my RYKAs one-half size larger than say Nike or New balance.

Excellent Shoe! I am a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. I teach classes 6 days per week. This is the best shoe I've ever bought and believe me; I have a lot of shoes. It's the only one that didn't have to be broken in. I took them out of the box and went to the gym to teach a class. They fit like a glove and are so comfortable. I bought the black for the winter because I wear black exercise pants almost all the time. They look and feel great. I've always been a Ryka fan. This isn't my first pair, but they are the best pair I have. I'll definitely buy another pair. They do run about 1/2 size smaller than marked. I ordered 1/2 size bigger than I normally wear, but the toe box is roomy and the arch support is excellent.

Ryka - I love this shoe. I teach several fitness classes a week so need a good quality shoe. These are definitely the best fitting, most comfortable pair of Ryka's I've owned thus far! (And I've owned several pairs over the past years.)

I really like this shoe a lot! It fit well and has the support I need.

Pretty Studio Mid - As others have noted, Rykas run short. The N-Gage Studio mid is noticeably lighter in weight than the N-Gage Instructor and looks less boxy and bulky. The toe box is deep enough for my C-width foot, but my normal 6.5 size is a 7.5 in a Ryka. A narrow foot with long toes might have a problem with this shoe. Plan ahead. The shoe is attractive and ready to wear right out of the box. My only complaint is the N-Gage does not last as long as my old New Balance. On the other hand, they look a whole lot better.

I love Ryka shoes, but this one is a little uncomfortable across the top on the front of the shoe. I am hopeful that it will loosen somewhat with wear. I have to get a full size larger in Ryka than other shoes.

Great shoes - Look great, but definitely need to buy 1 size bigger. The toe is more pointed than the N-Gage Instructor high top. Took about a week to get that area stretched out. They provide good support and aren't as bulky as the high tops. I'm liking them. We'll see how they hold up. I Jazzercise 5 times a week and the high top only lasted about 10 weeks. I like to get 12 weeks out of my shoes. We'll see.

Not as much cushioning as the previous version. I don't like it nearly as much. It doesn't fit my foot as well.

These shoes are great -- cushy and springy with great ankle support for the lateral moves associated with aerobics. Rykas really are the ONLY aerobic shoes on the market (or only ones worth considering) -- and Zappos is the best place to get them! Best of all, these ran true to size (roomy enough in the toe box to prevent jamming toes when jumping around, but not sloppy) AND they're on sale. How can you beat that? With Zappos excellent customer service and free shipping and returns, that's how. Not sure about your size? Order two and return the ones that don't fit. Like having a shoe store at home.

Great shoes! I’ve been wearing Ryka studio mid shoes for about 15 years for aerobic classes. They haven’t let me down yet. Comfortable, good support, and lightweight. I find them a good fit for my custom orthotics. Will be sticking with them as long as they keep making this shoe!

These shoes run small. I usually wear a size 9 shoe, but I needed a size 10 when purchasing these. Also, I found it took me about a week to break these high top aerobic shoes in. I had to trade in my ankle socks for higher socks to avoid rubbing. However, after breaking them in and wearing proper socks, they have been working great (I participate in high impact aerobics three times per week).

Excellent workout shoe. Never knew the value of a workout shoe before. Helps you maintain your balance and stability. Helps you to get a better workout. Get a half size larger.

I like these shoes. The arch support is adequate and the heel cushioning is good. I am an older stepper and so would like a little more cushion in the front foot area where, apparently, I have finally lost my baby fat.

I teach step and had forgotten what a big difference it makes to wear studio shoes, instead of running shoes. Listen up, steppers: Ryka N-Gage Studio Mid gives you wings. They are lightweight, well cushioned, and allow you to pivot without putting too much torque on the knee (a major cause of knee injury). They’re comfy, but unlike old school aerobics shoes, they don't make my feet look like throw pillows. Against all recommendations to size up, I went with my regular size and they fit perfectly. I bought two pairs, as they seem to be in short supply.

Once I hit my fiftieth birthday, I gained a little weight, just enough to make my knees sore all the time. I needed an exercise shoe that would provide greater stability to my foot and knee. I did my research, and settled on this shoe. The reviews recommended ordering a size larger in the Ryka brand, and that’s what I ordered. Well, my feet never have been normal, always been kinda skinny in the hoof, so the extra size was too big. That great free shipping both ways, cannot be beat! Ordered half-size smaller, doggonit, still too big. Ordered the next smaller size, my normal size, and this time it was perfect. Free shipping all the way, and of course that terrific overnight ship for VIP. The shoe itself? Lightweight, well-lasted, and lots of padding for my lil tootsies. I am now a demon in the gym, lookout here comes Trouble!

I purchase these shoes because I have been doing aerobics (jazzercise) for 30 years and it has become increasingly difficult to find aerobic shoes. I followed the advice of the other comments and bought a half size larger than I normally wear. They fit well and the laces allow me to cinch them up on my narrow feet. Zappos, as always, was exemplary in their service and delivery. Bravo!

Zappos is the only place I can get Ryka studio (aerobic) workout shoes at a discount! I love the fact that there is free shipping both ways. I recently bought some shoes on another website that didn't fit quite right and ended up paying an additional money for shoes I didn't even get to keep for shipping to me and back to the supplier. I plan on buying any shoes on line from Zappos from now on! They have a great selection, too.

I was looking for Aerobic shoes, and they are not easy to find. I searched different shoes and came up with Rykas.I then went to my shoe store of choice, Zappos! They had what I was looking for, and if they didn't fit correctly or I didn't like them I could just send them back for free. No hassles, no time spent running from shoe store to shoe store. They fit great and I've been using them on almost a daily basis. Can't beat Zappos for selection and service.
