Nice-looking shoe, but not as comfortable as I had hoped. I should say that my feet are finicky, and sometimes I get mid-foot plantar fascia pain and I have high-ish arches. My feet got very hot, especially the forefoot. There was not enough cushioning in the forefoot area for my feet. My left foot got shooting pains on the outside (lateral) side of the foot, a new pain area for me, but the medial side (where my foot is more likely to hurt) was fine! The fit seemed excellent - hugged my narrow heel and gave plenty of room in the toe box. I can see that these could be great for someone with less easily upset feet. I have found the Omni 7 Ultimates to serve me better.

Put the zing in my step!
21 months ago I experienced my 1st pair of Saucony’s, the Triumph 4. Arthritis pain in my hips and knees plus the wear and tear of 30+ years of nursing challenged me every 12 hour shift.
A loyal Reebok fan for years, I got the shoes after the reviews here. I loved them!! Cushioning and support beyond belief...my pains disappeared. After a year, insoles made them last longer.
Alas, I had to replace them. Triumph 5s were not as cushy. These Paramounts are worth every penny! The kings of cush...plus the support is excellent on my high arches. They fit like a glove and my young coworkers think they look cool. The only negative, thus the 4 on comfort, is that my poor diabetic feet are freezing in them with my cotton socks!! This is easily remedied with merino wool hiking socks.
Now my feet are delighted and warm, and my creaky joints no longer ache...for 12 hours. Saucony says loyal to the sport, and I am loyal to Saucony’s.

The shoe is comfortable, but not as comfortable and supportive as I had expected. I guess I thought by the price the shoes would be extraordinarily supportive. I work on my feet all day and by about 2pm my feet start to hurt. I am used to wearing Asics, which is what I will go back to after these get some wear. They were not a bad purchase; I just would not pay that much for shoes without them being outstanding!

Too expensive for what you get -
I tried this shoe along with three others and this was the most expensive and also the first shoe I rejected. I thought it had weak lateral support. My foot felt as if it were not being held in place well. I thought it ran short and I had already sized up a half size. I felt the cushioning was inadequate towards the front of the foot and that the arch support was uncomfortable. On the plus side, it's biodegradable!

Don’t know if I can run again -
I bought these back on 10/04/07 and have since developed shin splints so severe that it's been three months since I've used them and I still can't run .35 miles on a treadmill without limp-inducing pain. For the past two years I had been running in my old Saucony’s anywhere from 5-8 miles, 5+ times a week, so this has been extremely sad for me. They are also not good in cold weather/rain b/c the wind and elements go right through the thin mesh.

Saucony's Progrid Paramount -
Great Shoe! I wore these shoes for the first time in a race and they were exceptional! No sore feet and no blisters. Very comfortable and light. I highly recommend!
