I love La Canadienne boots. The difference between these boots and the other La Canadienne boots I own is the higher heel, but they are just as comfortable. I will be interested if the suede remains as good looking as the regular leather after being in the rain and snow. I don't know yet.

Best boot ever! Kara has just arrived (less than 48 after ordering online) and is she hot! I looked at this boot online for about two weeks, and even went to a famous Upper West Side shoe store to check them out, looked at them online for another week and decided I just had to have them. They are incredible - beautiful and comfortable! Well worth the investment. I can't wait for the cold weather! Zappos is awesome!

Grey La Canadienne Kara review - This is a very comfortable boot for the height! It is also comfortable on the inside - warm without being too hot. It is also a classically good-looking style. It's expensive but probably worth the price, especially with the water-proof guarantee.

Comfortable, Classy, and Classic - It hasn't been wet or wintry enough here in D.C. for me to wear these yet, but they feel great and look stylish and dressy. They're also classic-looking enough to wear to a corporate meeting.

Brown leather please - I love these boots. Great fit. Very comfy. Just make them in brown leather instead of suede and I will buy another pair.

Anonymous from Brooklyn, NY - I am absolutely gaga over the La Canadienne Kara. was afraid about the heel height, but honestly, it truly is not bad since the boot is soooo comfortable, it has a bit of a wedge in front which takes off from the height of the heel. This boot screams "class"! The suede is as smooth as silk. I got the black. Thought I’d need the 6.5M like the Gaetana (also La Canadienne, a more sporty boot), and was so disappointed when they ran out of my size, so I tried the 6.5 in charcoal, and the 7.0 in black. Well, I actually needed the 7.0, (which would be my standard size in a boot generally, so it does run true to size) so I hope this guides you size-wise. The charcoal color is pretty, but it is not a dark/deep charcoal. It is a true gray. I could have used both, but of course at this price, I was already over the top with one. But it's definitely a keeper. I’m sure the brown is as beautiful if you need that color. My calves are normal size and it zipped up just about snug. It’s not a loose fitting boot. Fits nice and smooth, looks stupendous, and it comes up almost to my knees but I’m not tall. They are gorgeous. My second La Canadienne boot this year, haven't worn either yet, but from the reviews I’m sure they'll be great. Can’t wait to strut in these :)

Love, love, love this boot! I couldn't be happier with this boot... I had read in other reviews that it's comfortable from the moment you put it on and it's completely true... and unusual for a boot with a couple of inches at the heel and a platform, which I've often found uncomfortable. They are very true to size also, at least that's what I found.

Great boot. Not as wide as I had thought, but comfy. I work on my feet all day and I think I may need to put an insert in to wear them to work, but for their height they are comfortable.

I spent way more for these than I usually spend for boots, based on the excellent reviews they received here. But I'm not sorry at all -- they fit like a glove, even over my muscular calves, and they look and feel great. I can't wait for the weather to turn cooler so I can take these lovelies out for a walk! I am seriously considering buying a second pair in another color (once my bank account recovers from the first pair).

Worth the $$- This was the most expensive pair of boots but well worth every penny. I've worn them all winter. Finding a boot to wear through the slush and snow that will go with a suit is hard, but this fits the bill. Heel doesn't feel as high as it looks because of the platform and they're actually more comfortable than the Juliana, which has a squarer toe box. Great investment to go with both professional and casual wear.

Stylish AND comfortable - I have these boots in black, bought fairly recently and they have quickly become my favorite shoe. I am new to the La Canadienne line and will look to them in the future for other styles. I have worn them under jeans and over skinny jeans and they look awesome and I get lots of compliments. I have worn them in the rain and even dancing and they are SO comfortable. The inside is lined in what feels like fleece. My only regret is that I have only a few more months to wear them.

It's so great to feel fashionable AND comfortable AND dry in the rain! I have a medium-wide foot and calf, and I usually take a 7, and I could wear either the 6.5 or 7 (settled on the 6.5). The shape of this boot is sleek and elegant, and I found it very easy to walk in. Looks great with an above-knee or knee-length skirt and today's cute bell-shaped, knee-length coats. Also the boot is slim enough that it will fit under some jeans. I have more La Canadienne boots than I care to admit (and probably more than I can afford) but the quality and looks have not been a disappointment. But I have chosen the ones they make for wider feet.
I'd also recommend:
La Canadienne Geralda, Vicky, Valencia (more casual, also for wider feet). Kate (shorter version of Kara).

Warm and light and fabulous-- This is my first La Canadienne purchase, but it won't be my last. They're pricey, to be sure, but worth every penny. How many shoes are featherlite AND warm AND waterproof AND gorgeous? You be the judge! Zappos emailed me when my size was in, and they had them at my door 17 hours later. Zappos, my feet love you!

The Kris Bootie - I am usually and 6.5 or 7 and I ordered the La Canadienne Kris Bootie. I love the boot. I wore them 3 days in a row and I stand on my feet all day long. They are so comfortable, elegant, and classy. This boot for the money believe it or not is worth every penny.

Weatherproof and stylish - These are the most comfortable boots I have ever had. Now I have the weather protection from a waterproof boot and the comfort and style from a dress boot at the same time! Thank you for posting the recommendations.

Gorgeous and comfortable - Shockingly comfortable for over 2" heels, warm, not at all pinchy in the toes -- everything I've come to expect from La Canadienne. My only complaint is that the shaft is a little narrow for my big calves; I struggle to get them zipped up, but once they are on they become perfectly comfortable again. Awesome, awesome boots -- I have them in two colors.

Super comfortable! This is the first pair of boots I’ve ever owned that I didn't have to break-in. I wore them straight out of the box for a night out, walking all over the city, climbing the stairs on the subway and was comfortable the entire time!

Love the brand; love the boot! The La Canadienne boots are wonderful: stylish, ultra soft inside, and fit well. A perfect combo of style and practicality. The only reason I returned these was because I bought a different La Canadienne Boot (Dorina) and couldn't afford to keep them both. I have tried 40 pairs of boots, and the price for the La Candienne's is worth every penny. AND THEY ARE WATERPROOF!

LOVE These!! I agree with the other reviewers. This is a beautiful boot and looks great with anything. The rounder toe and heel make it dressy, but also looks great with jeans. I can't get over how comfortable these are. I have never tried this brand but I am a new believer. I definitely recommend this shoe!!

Love my Kara's - This is an amazing boot. Comfort, durability, look...the only complaint that I had was when it came from Zappos it looked like it had been slightly, previously used. The bottom of the boot had markings of walking and there were slight rub marks on the inner heal and toe. I did not send them back, due to the fact this was the only pair they had in my size.

Sexy yet comfy - I just got these in the charcoal gray color, which was gorgeous and very on trend right now. However, I ended up exchanging them for black thinking that they would go with more of what I already own. Because of the platform, the heel does not feel as high as it looks, and the insole is cushioned. If I could afford it I would buy them in all the colors offered.

These are very pretty boots, but they are too baggy in the calf area. I do not have tiny calves!

Loved the way these boots looked and felt, but they were far too big for my skinny calves. Sadly, I had to return them.
