The right ones! I work in a very large warehouse so there is a lot of walking all day. I have had these boots for a few months now and will still give them a great review. I have back problems and these help. I also have a high arch and it is hard to find a boot or shoe with a high enough arch. If you are on your feet a lot these are the best. I have been through a lot of shoes trying to find the right ones.

Great Boot - Ordered at 8:00 p.m. Got them at 12:00 noon the next day! I walk around a 42,000 sq. foot building all day long and I cannot have my feet hurting. It was time for new boots and these are by far the BEST I have ever put on my feet! GREAT fit, excellent support NO break in time at all. Very light weight. I just ordered another pair. Thank You once again Zappos for the best service I have ever seen!

One of the best boot I've ever had - I'm not a horse woman, I needed a sturdy leather boot to wear and look good in. There was no "break in" period, no blisters nor sore feet. These boots were so comfortable. The fit was ideal. Heal fit snug but no too snug. Toe area was roomy enough for my wigglers, which is important because there's nothing worse than toe pincher's. I love my boots.

I love these boots! This is my second pair of Terrains - and these are the perfect fit for my 11W foot - sometimes I have to buy men's sizes but these had enough room and I can even wear a thick sock if needed.

Sooo Comfortable! I bought these for my very finicky daughter. She attends an agricultural H.S. and needed boots for the stables. She loves them so much she wears them when she is't required to. Great purchase.

When I first read the reviews about this boot, a few years ago, I was skeptical. How could these boots be as good as people were saying? Now, I own 4 pair and dread the day they aren't available any longer! Comfortable cushion, never painful. I can't say enough. I wear them constantly.

I bought these for my mother because at 69, her feet were hurting when we ride horses. She comments now during her ride how comfortable these are all the time! What a relief! So, the ratings are based on her answers.

I love these boots! Can't find them anywhere else in black, but I did have to order a whole size bigger.

I had purchased the Ariat Terrain H2O and loved them. So it was a natural to order these. They are every bit as comfortable and look just as good. I needed black and I use them on my motorcycle. These are a great shoe at an excellent price.

I have 2 pairs of these boots. I have tender feet and love cushioning. These guys are the best. I've hiked, motorcycled, gone to the mall, etc. There is not a negative word to say about these! Totally shocked me. They are the only boots that I own. Fact is the 1st pair sat in my closed for about 6 month for fear that I would get blisters! Not a chance!

Finally, I can't say enough good things about this boot. Quality, comfort, looks, durability; I love these boots, and finally got a color I needed. I have an Ariat shoe from many years ago - still looks good.

Very good looking shoes. This is my 3 pair of Ariat Terrain shoes. But these are the most comfortable. They don't feel like you have to break them in. They are so soft and yet a very sturdy boot. The service was very quick considering the weather and distance they had to be shipped. Thank you.

True to size - Love the boot. Pretty much try to size, although I did have another pair to ensure correct size prior to online ordering. Boot is very comfortable. Got mine for cruising on my Fatboy.

This felt very true to size to me. Might be a bit narrow if you have a really wide foot, but there's no pressure across the top of my foot and I have high arches. I have a pair of Hush Puppies suede flat moc-type boots that I have been looking to replace (after 5 years of wearing) and these are even better because they can go with jeans and even be dressed up a bit because of the wedge. But the sticky rubber sole will keep you from falling on your butt during icy conditions. The suede is a very low nap that I think will stay looking nice for years to come. I'm getting the Durango in black, which seems to be a taller version of this boot. Love them!

I bought this shoe for easy hiking and horseback riding. I love the shoe for both. Very comfortable shoe and it fits true to size.

Ariat's Terrain Does It All! I ordered this boot right before I left for a 60 mile endurance ride banking on the fact it would be comfortable! The ride turned out to be a real test of endurance and I ended up riding 14 hours! Needless to say, the Ariat Terrain fit well and kept me comfortable during the ride, so I would say it passed the test with high marks!

Awesome Boot - even if you don't ride - This is my 4th pair of Ariat Terrain boots. I needed a pair that wasn't beat up so I could wear them during non horse activities. I have hiked in these boots, shopped in these boots, worn them to work...and found them the most comfortable boot I own. Even straight out of the box they feel like an old friend. Perfect for trail riding! My secret fear is that Ariat will stop making them. If I ever catch wind of that, you can bet I will stock up!!!

Haven't met an ARIAT I haven't liked....... Great boot/shoe, all around comfort and support. I have a lot of problems with my heels and ball of right foot, only shoe I can stand and walk in all day. I wear an 8.5 in some shoes, but find 8 closer to fit in these.

great boot - This is a nice looking boot. Very comfortable. I usually take a 7 - 7 1/2 and in this brand I take a 7, and that was generous. Great with jeans. Just a great boot. I have several pairs of Ariat shoes. They are great from the minute you put them on.

Comfort - Love the look, style and comfort of the shoe. It fit true to size and the color was just what I wanted.

I love these boots!! This is my second pair. I've had my first pair for over 2 years and they are still in great shape! When I purchased them at a local boot store, they only had them in brown. I was so happy you had them in black so I ordered them online. This boot makes an excellent motorcycle boot because of the soles. This was the easiest online purchase I have ever made and the price was excellent as well. I cannot say enough good things about Zappos. Thank you so much!

As a railroad conductor I am required to wear a black boot with a defined heel. This can be very difficult to find in a womens shoe. These boots are PERFECT- light weight, good support. I would even consider wearing them while off duty. That isn't something I would say about any of my other work shoes!! Thanks for making it safe and comfortable to walk around on a moving hunk of metal!

I have been wearing Ariat Terrain boots for work for over 6 years now. many days I work 12-18 hours a day. These boots are absolutely fantastic. They are comfortable and they look great. I recommended them to a lot of friends and they all became converts after their first pair. One of my friends wore them to her chiropractor who took a look at them and declared that he was going to get a pair for himself since they were built so well and good for your back The only things I have to caustion people about are these, first, the shoe runs very large. I need a half size smaller than my normal size. The leather is very soft so the shoes don't need breaking in, they are comfortable right out of the box, but the leather loosens up over time and I have found that the shoes wear out quite suddenly. One wearing they are fine and the next the leather has stretched to the point that the shoe has become uncomfortable to wear. This takes quite awhile to happen though, so don't be worried about getting your money's worth of use. The last thing is that these shoes are not good on wet surfaces. they are quite slick. The Terrain model comes in a wet weather version which has enhanced traction, but this is not that model.
