Love these. This is my third paid (1st pair wore out after about 10 years, the 2nd pair I keep at the office) and they are very comfortable, lots of support, and look fine with jeans or khakis. And the pop of color on the new pair brightens my day.

I normally wear an 8W but based on the reviews ordered 7 and 7.5. I am returning them and hope they have a size 8 left. With a wool or hiking sock the 7.5 is too small, might have worked with a thin sock, but that's not what I'm going to wear with this boot. Super cute though!

I love these for day hiking and walking my corgi. They are light weight and supportive without feeling like boats. The 10 1/2 fits perfectly on my 10 1/2 low volume feet. If they hold up and last at least a couple of years they will be the best hiking shoe I have ever had. Only one complaint, the shoe laces are too short. I had to buy a longer pair to be able to keep them tied.

I buy this same shoe every year when the weather gets cold. I hope they never change it. It's very sturdy both in the sole and in the body, giving me the support I need to hike around with feet that need all the help they can get. This shoe has never let me down or worn out appreciably. Well made product.

I am on my feet all day long and needed something stable and supportive. The Ariat Terrains are both. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my slender feet (with a bunion on one side - the other side had to be operated on, and thus is more normally-shaped) have not been rubbed to death in these relatively roomy boots. The toe box, I must say, is mercifully spacious, but the lacing prevents my narrow heels from slipping around too much. Another plus is the boots' light weight. The top cuff can be stiff at first; I would not suggest lacing up really tight from day one. These are like a good-quality leather high-top sneaker, but with more stability. I sort of wish I had bought the waterproof version. Perhaps next time. Style-wise, these are basic work boots, with the improvement of being all-black. I bought them as work boots, and thus I am not surprised by their relative clunkiness. I followed the advice of several other reviewers and ordered a half-size down from my usual 7.5M. I almost always wear a 7.5 (Euro 37.5-38, rarely a 37), but I ordered a 7 in the Terrains and they was perfect. I usually wear thinner socks, but even thick socks are perfectly fine in this size, with no rubbing.

I normally wear a 7.5 or 8 depending on the shoe, so I ordered both for comparison. The 7.5 was too tight lenth-wise. The 8 was the better fit with a little slip in the heel. I have a wide foot and a high arch, and those areas felt comfortable.

I usually wear 7.5 or 8. I ordered a 7.5 and it fit perfect with heavier socks. Comfortable right out of box. May order the brown color as back up. Wish they had more tread for hiking hills is only complaint.

These are outstanding riding boots, perfect for trail riders who may have to get off and walk. Extremely comfortable, run true to size with thick socks, which I like to wear when riding, keeps the weed burrs from poking.

This is my second pair of Ariat boots. I work at UPS and needed a sturdy work boot. I wear either and 8.5 or a 9 in a shoe, but in these boots the 8.5 fit me perfect. There was no break in period. They were comfy from the first day.

I love these shoes. I have got just about every color ever made. And I wore my black pair all over Italy for a month and never got sore feet. They are not the most attractive shoe, but they sure wear well and feel great. I get them one half size smaller than I need (8 instead of 8¾) and I can wear thick socks with them, which I like. I also use them to work and ride horses.

I have owned this line in brown for several years, was excited to see them available in Black. I already knew they'd fit, glad that you guys finally got them in stock! I'm no fashion plate, I prefer my footwear comfortable and supportive. I can only wear high tops due to weak ankles and my feet are between size 4 and 5.5 depending on the brand. These are now in rotation with my other two pair of Ariats and should last me a couple of years based on how the others performed.

These boots are fantastic! I am recovering from ankle surgery and needed gently supportive shoes as I started walking again. These fit the bill and are also cute and warm. Plus there is no break in period. I got them in black and brown and they still look new. I usually wear a 7 and all my Ariats (I have several pairs of clogs, as well, which I love) are 6½. Yay Zappos and yay Ariats!

This is my second pair of Ariat Terrains. First pair in leather. I can't wear this shoe out. It is comfortable. I normally wear a 10 but ordered a 9.5 and it fits perfect. This is a great looking shoe. I wanted a comfortable nice looking black shoe to wear with jeans. I have a wide, flat foot. This shoe actually makes my foot look narrow. I am not wearing this to the barn! I hope Ariat continues to make this shoe.

This is my second pair of Ariat Terrains. My first pair is not worn out by any means even after a lot of riding, mucking, and tromping through muddy farm fields! I just wanted a second pair for "good". They are warm, comfortable (all day and evening as well as right out of the box) and absolutely waterproof. I highly recommend these. Thanks, Zappos, for stocking Ariat!

I bought these for my daughter who rides horses. Great boot for riding, working in the barn and hiking, very comfortable, and durable. They are now being worn by a second child. These are not at all waterproof, though, if that is what you're looking for, look for the waterproof version of this shoe.

Love these boots. This is my third pair. They are sized a half size too big though. I wear a size 9 but I order these in an 8.5. Highly reccomended for riding and for time around the barn.

Love these boots! They were comfortable right out of the box. The leather is very soft. They fit true to size, maybe even a little bit as I am between sizes and I took the smaller size. Use them for motorcycle riding but need the comfort to also go hiking. Great boot!

My feet love Ariat Terrains. I haven\'t used any other boots since I found Terrains. It can be hard to find a riding boot that\'s also comfortable for walking, but Terrains have it all.

These boots are very comfortable. I got them for standing hours at work plus walking around. I wear heavy socks with them so they fit perfectly. If you wear light socks try ordering a half size down.

I no longer ride but these Ariat boots are fabulous - my second pair this year. They are solid, decently cushioned and very well-made. A very stylish and understated jeans boot for the grown-up tomboy\/cow-girl. I found they run a full size bigger than marked so you may want to order a size smaller than in other boots. They work well with my narrow heel\/normal foot, which is rare.

I have a narrow heel and do expect some slippage. This shoe was just sloppy on my foot. Way too wide. I can't say it was a half size larger, just very very wide. I have a number of Ariat shoes which I love so this one is an outlier. It looked to be of reasonable quality but was lacking arch support.

I always make sure I have a fresh pair of these. I wear them a lot (been through several pairs) as I ride horses. They are great for barn work and excellent for trail andriding.
