I read some of the other reviews on these before purchasing. 3 things: 1) they fit/wear great (1 size bigger than normal), 2) these are sure enough cowboy boots...I want to go rope a calf when I wear them, 3) my wife practically jumps my bones when I wear them. What's not to love?

My son loves these boots. They felt comfortable right away on Christmas day.

Works as a dress boot, very comfortable. Fits large, I had to get 1 side down for the right fit.

Wow. This was my first pair of western or cowboy boots. I considered buying a pair for years, but could never pull the trigger. I eyed the Ariat Legend Phoenix for many months before I gave in and ordered a pair. I had read reviews of numerous pairs of cowboy boots from various brands. The reviewers all talked about one thing, comfort. I figured this was all a lie. Look at that heel. No laces. How could those things be comfortable? Well, they are. I've worn them every day since I bought them and they only get better as they break in. The love the styling of the Legend Phoenix. It's very simple, using a good quality leather. I like a squared toe as opposed to a pointed toe, so this was the pair for me. If you're new to the whole cowboy boot scene, give these a try, you won't regret it. They look amazing with jeans.

I love these boots. I wear them almost every day. They felt broke in right out of the box.

These boots are great! They are incredibly comfortable without even breaking them in. I try to find any excuse to wear them now. I am usually a 12.5 or 13 depending on the brand of shoes/boots, but I ended up buying a 12 in this boot and they fit very well, even with thick socks.

I love these boots. Finally I found them on Zappos.com and ordered the last pair of 11 1/2. I'm not sure if these are discontinued or why they are so hard to find, but buy them! Unlike most boots that have the design just stitched in, these have three different layers of leather making the design plus the stitching, and the color is perfect. I wear an 11 1/2 in combat boot also, and these are true to size. When they're on, they conform to my feet like a glove, almost like I can't tell they're on. Definitely worth the money!

Wonderful - I gave them to my boyfriend and he won't take them off. He said they fit great as soon as he put them on. No need to break them in.

The Legend - This boot is great I wore it right out of the box with no break-in time and it felt great. The only thing you have to do is order a 1/2 size smaller than your normal size and it will fit great. Zappos is a fantastic company to deal with. I will order all of my boots/shoes from them. My order came the second day, which really surprised me.

Excellent boot. Ran almost a full size larger than I usually wear, but Zappos exchange policy made swapping them out for the correct size a great experience as well.

Great Boot! I bought these for my husband for Christmas and he loves them. I know, because he wears them every chance he gets! They have a shock absorbing foot bed and don't require any break-in at all. The cut out detailing on the shaft is a nice touch and gives the boots more substance.

If you have one boot, this is it! Have had these boots for a month. I wear them everywhere...as they are as comfortable as a pair of sneakers. They look great, wear well and live up to the company's reputation.

Perfect Boot - Cannot believe how comfortable these are. I have not worn another shoe since I got them two weeks ago. I normally have to wear orthodics in my shoes but not with these boots. Well worth the money.

My fairly new Ariat boots with a one-piece rubber or neoprene sole and heel started squeaking somewhere near the back of the right heel every time I put any weight on it while walking. Finally it became quite annoying and I couldn't stand it any more, so I decided to figure it out myself or quit wearing them. I pulled out the sole inlay or sweat barrier that also serves as a cushion inside the boot and noticed that the tops of the nails on the inside of the boot right above the heel all had bright shiny heads on them, meaning something had been rubbing on them and polishing them to keep them that shiny. Figuring that this might be the source of the squeaking, I sprinkled some Gold and Hammer talcum powder inside the boot on top of the nails and put the inlay back in. Squeaking has stopped. Ta-da!

I purchased this boot primarily as a riding boot. It seems to be the ultimate cowboy boot...oil tanned leather, durable flexible sole, spur rest and the Ariat stamp of approval. It's also very comfortable. The biggest fault I find (and it's a doozy) is that the composition sole makes this boot difficult to slide out of the stirrup. This defect will end up killing someone if they get hung up in the stirrup and get dragged by an unruly horse or mule. I have tested these boots on different saddle/stirrup combination and the verdict is the same. Better to stay with a boot that has the traditional leather sole if you're involved in equestrian activities. One final thought worth remembering is that Legends are usually said in remembrance of dead people. Sorry Ariat this boot should not be used for riding.

I just purchased these boots, after a long time contemplating to do so. All I can say is, they are amazing! They look even better in person, the color is rich and the texture and feel is superb. They are incredibly well made, raw and durable. They are not too flashy but not bland. They fit true to size, and they are extremely comfortable right out of the box.

I've never owned a pair of cowboy boots before due to the fact that I never thought I could pull them off. Regardless, I have still always wanted a pair...lets face it, everyone does deep down. I finally broke down and got these after reading a number of reviews and can honestly say I couldn't be happier. These boots are extremely comfortable and I have received multiple compliments on them when wearing them out. I did order a half size too large, but the great news was that when I contacted Zappos about needing a different size they immediately credited my account and dropped the new pair in the mail that day, resulting in me receiving the right sized boots at my door the next day (free of charge for shipping). I must also say that when I contacted Zappos about the size mix up, I used their online chat room system which has normally proved to be absolutely worthless with other companies in the past. The service was exceptional and I even received a personalized Thank You card in the mail for my decision in choosing Zappos. Can't say I have ever experienced that before with any other company. Will definitely be doing business with Zappos again.

First pair of boots and love them. Comfortable right out of the box and no need to break in. Would definitely recommend.

Purchased this boot for my son for Christmas and immediately he put his first pair of boots on that day. Loves the fit and compliments he receives. No need to break in boot either. He wishes you could put this out in black also. He already wants another pair in black too. Thanks for your assistance in this matter. Keep up the good work.

I bought these boots for my boyfriend for his birthday. Was extremely pleased with the quality, He love them! The fit was excellent, I would highly recommend these boots!
