I was recommended these shoes when I was looking for a great winter boot for playing disc golf in the cold winter months and sloppy spring. Need to wear thick socks with them cause my feet are pretty narrow which is not a problem by me cause I love wool socks. Happy with the water proof aspect but I still get snow in them and my feet get wet but I don't think it's cause of the boot just the deep snow. I also have plantar fasciitis and they are nice a supportive so I'm in less pain.

I bought the boots and matching chaps for occasional riding - perfect. I took them out for a short hike - blisters even with Smartwool insulation socks on. Ok, I deserved that... Broke them in - hours of heavy gardening with or without socks and they're FLAWLESSLY COMFY. BUT... The soles on both pairs started peeling off - WTH? Guerilla glue with rubber bands until fully dry as a last resort. It worked! - but these were rarely worn and not ever in wet conditions. So why the poor craftsmanship on the soles? Despite all that I will buy again, no one else makes an upper so comfortable once broken in.

I love these boots. They are very good quality for the price. I ordered 7B and although I have a wide foot they are very comfortable and wide enough for some heavy socks.

I bought this boot about a month ago, went by the size of my Fatboy boots and these were too small. No problem though! I returned the boots and reordered a half size larger. they fit good and I wear them to work on a regular basis. The Fatbaby is not quite as tall in the arch area but still fits good.

It's a good Cowboy Boot. I wish they sold all the accessories. Like cedar boot trees and most importantly some kind of cleaner/conditioner, polish, and water proofer. They give a brief recommendation in their "FAQ" but I know some store include it with the boots.

I purchased a pair several years ago and quickly had three pairs of these. They have lasted more than three years with daily use in dirt, mud, and miles of uneven walking. I would recommend them for an everyday boot.

I'm a 6.5 in Ariat tall boots (for English riding) but these are too big, and I almost sprained my foot. Exchanging them! I'm sure a half size lower should be good.I don't know why these are big on me, it seems like they're the right size for everyone else. Maybe my feet shrunk?? Lol. I know people get shorter as they grow older, but I'm not **THAT** much older since I bought my tall boots. I love Ariat so much though, so it must be a fluke. Hopefully I can exchange them.

I've had my Ariat boots for about 4-5 years now and have taken them hiking all over the US. There are lots of things I love about these boots, but there are a few things I've learned over the years that have helped me to get the most use out of them as well. 1. They are great for protecting your toes and supporting your ankles. I am so clumsy and stub my toe on everything. I also have terribly weak ankles and roll them often, but love challenging hikes. These boots always ensure that I never have to worry about either of those things. They are super tough and give great support and *knock on wood* haven't hurt my feet or my ankles yet because of them. 2. With that said, they are such good quality. As I previously mentioned, I've had mine for awhile now and they are just as sturdy/stiff as when I first bought them. I've put them through some serious hell, so these boots are long-lasting. Have yet to have any problems with ripping, tearing, or fraying. Even the shoelaces look as perfect as when I first got them. 3. They're so stylish. Maybe that doesn't matter to some, but they are easy to clean and look good with literally any gear. I always feel confident and prepared in these bad boys. 4. The options with a leather upper have very little breathability. This just means that your feet will sweat more and you will be more likely to get blisters. At first, I thought the blistering was due to having to wear in the boots, but later realized it's just a lack of air flow. To make up for this, I use sock liners and blister covers and I don't have any problems. For this reason alone, I am SO glad I did not purchase the waterproof version. I can only imagine how stifling those things can get. 5. Another thing I've noticed is that the shoelaces become loose pretty easily. I would probably recommend getting a better set of laces, as loosening shoelaces can also cause some blistering when hiking. 6. Something other people have noted the lack of traction on these boots. I think the most important point is that the tread on these boots is not made for every single type of terrain. For example, I love taking these out in the rain on trails that have sticky mud or grippy surfaces. I would not, however, take these on trails that have a lot of loose rock or gravel, rain or shine, as it will be more likely for you to slip due to lack of traction. I think this is overall a small inconvenience as I do not expect one pair of shoes to get me through every sort of terrain. I can typically wear these boots for about 80% of my hiking activities, and that's good enough for me. Overall, I have absolutely loved these boots. They've taken me to some pretty cool places. Hopefully I won't be needing to buy a new pair anytime soon, but, if I did, I would definitely purchase these same exact boots a second time.

Have worn Ariat terrain boots for many, many, years. I really like them. However, I would rather have these boots in a zip up style. Last two pair I purchased were zip and prefer them over the tie boots. These were true to size and arrived very quicky. What happened to the zip style?

Comfortable, durable, quality boot. I wear these daily for work where I can be walking up to 12 miles per day. They have held up remarkably.

I needed a boot for this fall and really liked the look of this one and the glowing reviews it got, especially the short break in time. Unfortunately I am experiencing some heal rubbing and dont know what to do to help it. Any ideas?

Still, they are advertised as made to last, and they do not. I have had many pairs of them, and each pair lasted no more than one year, as the sole in front separates from the shoe. No amount of glue can get it then to stay affixed. Also, one would think that it is possible to supply shoe laces which stay tied. Other boots can do so, but with Ariat, after a short period of time, they simply will not stay tied without double knotting them, and eventually the ends fray and it is have to put them through the holes.

I love these boots, although I really wish you still made the zipper ones. So much easier at the barn with zippers. I've been buying Ariat's for years and have never had a complaint until the last boots I purchased. They were a waterproof pro boot that came up higher on the ankle.....they didn't last as long as previous purchases. The zipper totally broke and the leather split. I notice you no longer offer that boot. Thank Goodness!!

Got these for working around the barn, on my feet for a few hours at a time made my feet ache in the paddock boots I was wearing. I did have to buy some wick away moisture socks to make them super comfy but my feet don't ache anymore. They are true to size!

I am on my third round of these. I ride in them multiple times a week stomp in the mud and walk around town. My only reason for not giving a 5 star- the cushioning would be improved, when I try other Ariat boots the cushion is much softer and more supportive.

They were so comfy, lightweight and comfortable. a little darker than the photo online but very pretty. I returned them because the back of the heel area had a scratch and looked like glue was on there. Customer service was nice on the phone and they emailed me a free return shipping label. I will be re ordering another pair because I loved them. But I was being picky with the quality.

My first ariat boot purchase and I am very satisfied. These are super lightweight and comfortable. The color seems a bit darker than what is shown on the website. Overall I really like them.

I just wish it was a composite toe and had the same stitching on the toe as the other rambler. I got 3 years out of the pair I had.

Love the look and feel of these boots. The rep told me to order them in my tennis shoe size (9.5D), but if I could go back, I'd order them 1/2 size down as them seem to run a little large (loose in the heel and a bit long). Other than that they're extremely comfortable and look great.

Beautiful boots, but the rounded toe was just too crowded for me even with wide width. Ended up switching to square toe boots and found them much more comfortable.

I like non insulated boots for summer. It's not waterproof, which is what I like. They have a more comfortable sole than the WorkHogs... I like them so far. 3 weeks old
