I got these boots for my boyfriend and he loved them! Except they didn't fit him, so we'll be returning for a bigger size. These will he his 4th pair of timberland work boots.

Disclaimer: This review is based on the pair of boots I purchased back in 2009. Boot construction may have changed since then so keep this in mind when I critique that aspect.
Actually still have them, they're still in great shape and wear them for my current job as a school teacher. I bought these back in 2009 when I started working in pad construction for a drilling company in PA. There was a slight break-in period, but due to the amount of time I worked it was a non-issue. Was on my feet outside for around 14-16 hour days, about 5 or 6 days a week. These boots lasted through everything. Operating heavy equipment, walking the pad, hauling lumber to frame the pads and laying down the plastic and felt for the rig mats to sit on. My feet were always comfortable and no issues, never once did I slip walking across spills, or water, or when climbing the rigs to assist.
Only things I changed was swapping out the laces and adding insoles for long walking time. Don't remember the specific insole I am using unfortunately. The original laces were fine, but wore out quickly so they were replaced with leather laces which are still operating just fine.

I have owned a few pairs of these boots over the past 5 years. They are absolutely amazing. When the store I originally purchased a pair in stopped carrying this style of boot, I immediately went online to find them. They are durable and hold up to a wide range of conditions very well. Did I mention how much I love they are waterproof?! My feet stay dry in rain or snow.
Seeing as they are made from real leather, it takes a day or two to get them broke in. At first the boot feels incredibly tight, but after a short while they loosen up.

I have gotten these same boots 3 years in a row. Food processing plant where temps fall to minus 20 degrees. feet always stay warm and dry. Boots last me one year without fail. VERY NICE AND COMFORTABLE.

These are one tough, well built pair of boots. Finally, work boots you can want to put on in the morning and not have to grimace at night when you take them off. These boots are everything they are advertised to be.

Super sturdy construction, they feel very solid. The break in was a little rough on the back of my heel and the collar could use a little more padding where the pull tab on the back is stitched in, but now they are super comfortable walking around in all day. Usually I have an issue with the toe box being too narrow but these have plenty of room. The sole has a curve to it so walking feels natural and not clunky. They are pretty huge with the internal metatarsal guard, but they don't feel especially heavy and I can't feel the guard at all when bending or crouching. I work outside in the PNW, and they've been bone dry and warm on the rainiest of days and stomping through puddles. I'll probably be getting these again after burning through red wings and danners too often.

I just started using them this week. A few things I have noticed, 1 they are a little tight. Need to wear thinner socks. 2. And this is just me, it takes a while to get used to walking in them. They are heavy. 3. Again just me, they take a while to get used to driving in them. I drive a semi truck hauling construction and mining equipment around the country. I wanted something that was gonna last since my last pair of boots didn't even make it 6months. I had a friend that suggested these boots and I decided to give them a try. Time will tell. So far so good though!!!!

So awesome after owning these for 2+ years they are pretty worn out now but still more comfortable and sturdy than my Redwings that are half of the age and have no tread and holes. Lasted twice as long as previous boots and I'm about to try the Endurance 8" only because they come equipped with anti-fatigue. I work at an auto shop.

I've heard nothing but good about these from experienced customers, but when I purchased a pair, they didn't even last 2 months without the sole separating from the toe of the boot. Other than that one pretty big issue, they've been fairly good

I work in a underground coal mine in western ky , the #9 coal seam. Ive had red wings , john deer, matterhorne, wolverines, and michlean , now timberlands . These are a bit too heavy for me , they are insulated very well but however are too heavy i work in a 4 to 5 ft seam. And these are among the hardest mining boots to take off my foot i have ever had which disapoints me. They are a nice insulated boot , but i would not purchase again because of the weight of these and difficulty to take off feet. Even tho its the right size.

I've not had these boots very long, so I cannot attest to durability yet, but so far so goodexcept, THESE BOOTS ARE NOT WATERPROOF. At this moment I have a couple hair dryers going, trying to dry them out. I primarily got the boots for crush protection in the scrap yard, but was enthusiastic that they would also be WATERPROOFNOT!!!! Now I will alter how I work (walking around, heel walking, tippy toeing through, etc..) mud holes. Nut shell: Yes I would recommend them to a friend!! A friend I would like to spend a couple hundred bucks to run around with wet feet. Timberland-STOP FALSE ADVERTISING: THESE BOOTS ARE WATER RESISTANT (barely). !!!NOT WATERPROOF!!!

They never last through the season. Typically take in water along the stitching in the toe. I work in the maritime industry as a longshoreman. Anti-fatigue is best feature. Wish I could find a boot as safe that was better up and down ladders.

Work on a construction site. Ordered one pair and have exchanged them twice. Every single one leak after about two weeks due to the sole separating from the leather. Right where that reflective strip os

Uncomfortable lumps of rubber and low quality leather. I cant take a single step without them squeaking and shrieking every time. Ive never had boots destry my feet as much as these monstrosities have. If you have a decent pair of these, congratulations. For anyone else with a demon pair like mine, Im so sorry. Never buying these again

I use the boots for Coal mining. And they are the worst boots I've ever worn. They do not break in. They rub my heels bloody and swell up my ankles. They are very very heavy. And they feel like they're made out wood, with no flexibility at all. In a low mine, these are horrible. On flat ground they are still horrible. I would rather walk barefoot all day on gravel than wear these for a minute.

Both of the shoes squeak. The leather on top has become delaminated from the composite toe guard and rubs when I walk. Sounds like like I am "tooting" with every step.
