Caldwell performs superbly - Excellent value and easily conforms to foot. I would recommend this shoe for anyone wanting to run with the big dogs, but not able to drop this much per pair.

A fantastic dress shoe. After a break-in period of maybe 20 or 30 hours in the shoe, I found it to be supportive and very comfortable. Not to mention it's a pretty spiffy looking leather shoe! Because the sole seems to be wearing down rather quickly, I'm only giving it 4 stars overall.

I bought these shoes over five years ago to go with my tuxedo (and still be versatile for work). They have held up very well, and I have resoled them once.

Beautiful shoe, runs a bit small - I was very impressed with this shoe as soon as I opened the box, but I was disappointed when I tried it on as it was too small. I'm a pretty standard 9.5M, but this shoe had the size of a 9. I compared to other shoes of 9.5 size and it was smaller. I returned this shoe, but I was very happy with the look and construction. I can't really comment on comfort.

Pro: Awesome looking shoes. Well made. Con: Size runs small and narrow. Hope the shoes stretch soon or they will not be my "go to" everyday business shoes.

Way too big to be a 6 1/2. It fits like an 8. Maybe they made it longer because I ordered a wide?

I ordered a pair of Caldwell for Christmas, when I tried them on standing on carpet they felt good. But when I wear them to work, the left shoe hurt my foot after two days of wear the I have blisters. They were a waste of money. I will continue with Johstons & Murphy's much better shoes.

I wore it, hoping it would break in and be comfortable. It never improved and created sores.

Cole Haan Caldwell Review - I made the mistake of buying two pairs of Caldwells at the same time. Of course, in the store, they felt fine; however, upon wearing them all day, the shoes just made my feet hurt. I have even tried expensive shoe inserts, but the shoes are the worst I've even owned. I will stick with Allen Edmonds and Johnston Murphy. In retrospect, I should have passed on the Caldwells, and instead, bought Johnston and Murphy's Melton. The Meltons fit very well and needed no breaking in. Ironically, the single pair of Cole Haan's I bought before Nike purchased the company is excellent.

I think Cole Haan shoes are simply the best. I've tried all the major brands for the last 5 years, and there was no shoe comparable to Cole Haan. The Caldwell is comfort beyond imagination. Once you've put them on, you'd want to walk with them all day long. At times I realized I was wearing a pair of shoes. My feet have been happy ever since I've introduced them to CH and plan to stick this brand for a very long time. You should give it one try...and you'll know the feeling of having happy feet! And of course Zappos service was just magnificent!

My favorite go-to for a dress shoe. The shoes are well made and are very comfortable for daily wear. Looks great with a suit or dress trousers. Tried to order these again and my size has been unavailable for months. It's a shame because these shoes are great for the price.

Bought these shoes for my first real job in finance. These are great office shoes, they are classic and stylish. True, the leather does crease near the toe, but that just means that you are using them. I have had mine for 4 years and will replace soon. Had to resole them once, but that was worth it because I enjoyed these shoes that much.

My favorite dress shoes for business! These are built to LAST! Friends ask me about them since they look so sharp and I love bragging that they are the BEST money I ever spent on shoes. If you wear nice suits and don't have quality shoes like these Cole Haan's, you're missing the mark! Shoes make the look complete and bad shoes rob that first or on going professional positive impression. They shine up to an amazing luster with leather shoe cream or polish. They are comfortable and I love the 2EE sizing with my wide feet. Had protective Goodyear tread added to the leather bottoms by local Shoesmith and they may outlive me!!! Speedy service from Zappos keeps me coming back again and again! Now, to talk my wife into more pairs of these... Thank you, Zappos and Cole Haan!

I love these. I work retail and destroyed them by wearing them every day for nine hours a day. They do crease and crinkle because that is what patent leather does. Shoe trees and regular care help but they are meant to be dress shoes so maintenance is normal. I love the way they look beat up. I had rubber soles added and swapped out the laces for a bright green. They go great with jeans and slacks for fun.

Beautiful shoe! Comfortable fit, on 2nd try. First pair ordered felt a bit snug, and I easily returned them for full credit. When the next size up was available, Zappos sent me an email and I ordered them. They arrived quickly, within 2-3 days, and I love them!

At first I thought these shoes were too shiny and looked more appropriate for a tux. But my husband loved them and swore his "old" Coles were shiny at one point too. He loves them and are his go to pair for comfort and style in the office daily.

A great dress shoe. Nice and shiny, leather sole, very durable. I recently wore these all-day at a wedding and my feet felt comfortable and not tired at all at the end of the long hot day with plenty of walking.

The item looks exactly as described. However, the size full it is one full size smaller than the actual and the width is narrower.

These shoes are okay. I liked the look more online than I did in person. They are a little shiny for my taste. I will keep these for more formal events.

Will definitely need to be broken in but very comfortable insoles, very nice leather, great for the price. As far as critical reviews, they are leather soled dress shoes. Not exactly designed for hiking or prolonged walks and once they are scuffed properly they will be fine for normal use. If you are worried about weather or tread it's not difficult to have a cobbler put some rubber in the front or the heal to give you some added traction, but these are really office shoes. Only problem I have with them is that they are a little blunt-nosed.

Shoes are stylish and I have never had a quality issue with Cole Haan's. However, I returned these shoes because of the finish. Very shiny, much like tuxedo shoes. Too shiny for office wear.

The quality of this shoe has went significantly down hill over the years. This used to be my go to shoe for business wear. I was disappointed to see that the leather looks almost like plastic, and is way shinier than they used to be. My last pair only lasted a year before developing a deep crack near the toe that couldn't be repaired. I was going to give them another shot because of the price. But I have decided to make the investment and switch to Allen Edmonds.
