LOVED the boots, but too small on the calf - I fell in love with these boots when I saw them in a magazine, but unfortunately my calves would not comfortably fit inside these stylish little gems. However, like is said elsewhere on the reviews, the shoe sizing does indeed run large. I usually wear a US 8.5-9 and the Lady N's US 8 had plenty of room to spare. I had a pleasant experience exchanging these boots for the Huntress (wider cut) and hope that they will fit.

Great Rain Boots! I love these boots! I actually got mine off another site only because Zappos did not have my size in-stock (Zappos I still love you though), but these will not disappoint. Like some others have mentioned- the shaft of the boot is tight on larger/athletic calves BUT the good news is the canvas will STRETCH. I got the top of the boots wet by standing them upside down in the bathtub for a few hours (they are definitely water resistant) soaking the part of the shaft that was uncomfortable. I then stuffed the boots overnight with objects that would give enough tension (wine bottles, towels, etc) and now they are very comfortable.

Adorable and practical - A great look for a truly waterproof boot. They do run large, but not large enough to go down a size, just enough for very thick socks, which you'll need for warmth anyway. They are tall (great for us tall women), but I didn't find them narrow in the ankle or leg. A winner. I have them in a solid brown rubber and in the black linen/rubber combo.

Look hot, but can't ride a bike! I am a size 7.5 in sneakers, but size 7 is still a little big on me in these boots, heel rub issues even with thick socks. I will be putting in an arch insert (since as other reviewers have noted, it has zilch arch support) to help with both the sizing and support problem. The boot is a smidge too tall, and makes it uncomfortable to ride a bike. On the plus side, I got the beige, and finally feel professional walking around on a rainy day. There are very few adult looking rain boots, not to mention dressier looking.

Great rainy day walking boots - I loved the boots - they are smart looking and fun to walk in and if you need to, you can add an arch support for longer distances. We have had nasty weather this year and I hate ruining my expensive shoes. With the Hunter Lady N, you don't look like you are wearing your grandmother's boots. My husband who is from England hates the original Wellies liked these. Great service, too!!!

Classic Rain Boots - I love this classic riding style boot! Even so, it's better suited to wearing with straight leg pants that fit easily over the leg (rather than trying to get them inside) or with a great skirt. While it has an innersole, the addition of one that is more cushiony and supportive is recommended. Get the size you would normally purchase in a boot...the extra space will allow a warm sock or heavy-weight insulated innersole.

Hunter Lady N boot excellent - The Hunter Lady N boot is very stylish and pretty comfortable. I had originally wanted the basic Hunter wellies, but could not find them in my size or color. I am so glad that I tried these instead. I think they are nicer looking. The only problem I had was sizing. I ordered a slightly smaller foot size because the original wellies run larger. However, this style runs true to size so I could have gone a little larger than I did, but they still fit fine. I also tried the Hunter wellie socks which I like, but have trouble keeping them up over the boot. Maybe they are not made to go with the Lady N style, only the original. All in all the boots are a great buy! Even has nice plaid lining inside.

Boots - Great boots for spring weather. Sometimes my socks manage to get a little damp but I guess that’s what you get for jumping around in puddles.

They are a great rubber boot that is slimming and stylish. It is not too bulky and seems to be made of high quality materials. They don't keep you as warm as I would've liked, but they are only a rubber boot without insulation, so wear thick socks!

Best rain boots ever - These are the best rain boots. Actually they are one of my favorite boots, period. They fit true to size (for a rubber boot they have a great fit). They are comfortable and most of all look so hot! I wish is rained more in Southern California!

Classic Hunter Lady N - I was looking for a weather proof boot to wear out to the horse barn. I tried another boot, the Brit-Rider, and it had unisex sizing and did not fit properly. The Hunter Lady N is made for a woman therefore fits properly. I have not tried to horseback ride in the Hunter Lady N's yet but they are made for that purpose as well. So far I am very happy with my purchase.

Great shoes! The boots are great, but they're too big. Also, this boot has very little lining, so you'll want warm socks if you plan to wear them in the winter.

satisfied - I love them, they are great, but I have to admit, unless you're relatively thin think twice about this boot. I'm a size 2, so I can weak jeans under my boots, but bigger women or women with large calfs would have difficulty. Other than that, quality is great and comfort is there.

Hunter Boots Are Excellent - My daughter, who is very particular about what she wears, asked for Hunter boots for Christmas and was not disappointed. They fit great, feel great and look fantastic!

A great boot! These boots are great and are so attractive looking! If you wear a half size, definitely go a size down. I am a petite female and going a size down helped ensure a better fit both in the shoe size and in the calf area of the boot.

I love my wellies! I've been coveting these boots for a while now, and they did NOT disappoint. They are absolutely waterproof and oh-so-stylish. Nothing says "I take rain seriously" like a pair of Hunters. They are classics. I usually wear a 9, but the 8s are a perfect fit. Since rubber can make things a bit chilly, especially in the winter, I bought the wellie socks. They're a great addition to a wonderful boot!

Sturdy attractive boot - Lady Hunter N looks like a traditional riding boot. Sturdy upper has a nice shape, albeit a little tight on the leg. I've worn them only three times, but have already trod through piles of snow and puddles of slush. Not only did my feet stay warm and dry, but shoe still looks great. Rubber foot gets white scuff marks relatively easily, however, they wipe off with a cloth.

Great boot. I ordered my normal size 8 but had to return it. It was a size too large. The size 7 fits perfect. I can not wait for the weather to turn nasty so I can put them to the true test.

This was a beautiful rainboot. Had to return because my calves are too wide for the boot. Wanted room to be able to tuck my pants in. Would have kept otherwise, not the boots fault.

A great looking boot. Fits very well. Have not had a chance to wear them for any length of time due to our 100 degree weather. Zappos was extremely efficient as always! Thanks.

Classy comfort - Lady N is comfort and style realized in a daytime boot for use in the garden, doing errands, in the rain and general casual wear. Fully lined, so preferred for autumn, winter and chilly, wet days. Olive tweed is understated elegance.

Manhattan Review - In Manhattan we pound the pavement pretty tough. I bought the Tretorn wedge rainboot and was disappointed because the rubber ripped in two places. So I purchased this boot. While there isn't as much cushioning, I found that it is a nice boot with a good size leg opening. I don't feel a potential for tear. I would recommend.

It's a really nice rainboot - Stylish as they look, they are still just rain boots. They look great, though. I purchased the beige, thinking that the bottom rubber portion was black and the upper canvas material was an off-white. The rubber is actually a dark chocolate and the canvas is more of a tan. They still looked great, but not exactly was I was looking for. If you're planning to wear these in temperatures below 55 F, I would suggest also purchasing the wellie socks. These are a great waterproof boot, but they are not warm. They are also heavy, so they are not good for all-day wear. Just for rain, really.

Great rain boot! I was dying for a pair of hunter boots, but didn't want the clunkiness of their original style. The Lady N's fit the bill perfectly. They almost have a riding boot quality too them. As in the other reviews, I would suggest ordering a size down. Also, they are a bit snug in the calf area so it is hard to tuck thicker pant material, such as a heavy denim, into the boot. All in all, they are a sophisticated looking rain boot that keeps my feet extremely warm and dry during inclement weather.
