Just got to try these out in a torrential downpour… after finally realizing that my feet were safely warm and dry, I started jumping in puddles on purpose. These boots make me actually look forward to rainy days. As for size, I'm generally a size 8 to 8.5. I got them in size 8 and have enough room for the Welly socks, too.

All the recommendations suggest sizing down a half size. I wear a size 7.5 without fail for almost all dress shoes. I got the 7 and it fit, but I would never be able to comfortably wear thick socks. I recommend going a half size up if you are in between.

Love these boots! I've tried 4 different types of boots this rainy season and these were definitely the best. I don't have especially wide calves, although the Kamiks all fit too tight... but these Hunters were perfect. I highly recommend them.

Great boots! At first they felt sort of uncomfortable, but once I got used to wearing them and walking around I loved them. Be warned: they are NOT the glossy kind as I somehow thought they were. But I actually think I like them better because you can wear them in all weather and they won't look too much like rain boots. Size-wise, I'm a 9.5 and ordered a 10. They are definitely a little too big, but I wouldn't recommend ordering down. I just have to wear thick socks with them. Pretty average calf opening; I can comfortably wear leggings with them but jeans are a little bit tight, but I think I have pretty muscular/larger than average calves. Overall, great shoe!

I love these boots. I read the reviews and sized down. I wear a 7.5, so I usually order an 8. This time I got a 7, and it's a perfect fit. They came right in time for the flood waters. And these people know how to handle orders... no problems! LOVE THEM!!!

I bought these boots primarily for function and they greatly exceeded my expectations! They are very well made and the seams look very durable. Also, they are very comfortable and unrestrictive and have a nice, sleek look. Overall, a must for fall/winter/spring weather. I have received numerous complements already. The only thing is that I sized down with this boot. I usually wear an 8 but my foot is pretty narrow, and the 7 didn't have a huge difference in length.

These are great rainboots. I ordered a size 8 (I'm usually 8 or 8.5) and they fit well. The large sock is perfect for them.

I absolutely love this boot. I got them primarily to walk my dog in the fields in the morning, mud and brooks, too. They are perfect. Great height, comfortable. I also wear them with jeans and skirts. I did find that they were a little big, the 8, but the 7's are too small, but I put an insert in them and they are even more comfortable. Great quality, thick, yet workable rubber.

I am so happy that I finally made the plunge and bought a pair of Hunters. They are extremely comfortable and I love that the navy boots go with everything. I normally wear a size 6, but after trying on a pair of my friend's size 6 Hunters I decided to order them in size 5. They fit perfectly! I highly recommend these boots!

I love these! I've wanted them for a long time, but couldn't decide on a color. I finally decided to go with black; it's classic. They are so comfortable and sleek. I would love to repurchase in a more fun, vibrant color! I am usually a 7.5 and bought a 7. They are still a little roomy, but it doesn’t really bother me.

I am in love with my boots. They were delivered the next day. As luck would have it they came when I was on my way out and it was raining hard. They felt comfortable and sturdy. I got compliments all day. Love 'em! The crew at Zappos is fabulous. Happy customer for sure.

I finally broke down and bought the Hunters after my last two pairs of cheaper rain boots started leaking within a year of purchase. I usually wear a 7.5 and I purchased an 8 b/c I wanted them to be a little large. They are nice and roomy. I will be able to wear thick socks in the winter. I have medium sized calf's and these work for me but I'm not sure they would work well for someone with wider calf's. I can easily fit my straight led jeans into them. They are pretty comfortable for rain boots too.

I ordered these boots after looking at all of the choices on all of the web sites and in stores and decided that you just can't beat the quality and craftsmanship of Hunter boots. I was right. These boots are awesome. They are quality to the max. Seamless, totally waterproof, yet comfortable enough to drive in. The original green color is attractive without being too dark, and it goes with a neutral raincoat very well. Order your normal size and put an inner sole in them if you have narrow feet. These boots are a classic!

They're so much bigger than they say! Order 1 or even 2 sizes down! I ordered a 10 because that's usually what I wear and I literally could've fit another foot in there and it was so loose around my calves!

What can I say that other reviewers haven't already said?! Comfortable and stylish. Love them! This is my second pair...when it was time to replace I tried the gloss since my first pair were matte and I didn't like as much so I went back to the original matte. Highly recommend these boots as well as Zappos customer service and insanely fast shipping!

Comfortable, versatile, and weatherproof. I have worn these in deluges and in the garden, with pants, leggings or skirts. Enough room for heavy socks or lighter ones with my orthotics. Simple but stylish go to boots.

Really great boot! Holds out the water fine, is pretty tough against the weather elements.

Great boots! Only caveat is that the boot shafts are a bit slim. I am thin and they barely fit me with jeans on, so if you have decent calf muscles, I would not recommend them. Otherwise, I love them.

The fit, style, and quality are all top notch. I love my hunter boots, and would never switch to another brand.

These boots are just what I wanted! I have gone through three rain boots and all of them had problems so I finally splurged and spent money on the Hunter brand! I could not be happier. There is nothing worse than walking your dogs with wet feet in the morning!

I love these boots. After buying several pairs of inferior rubber boots that lasted for a few months before cracking, I decided to bite the bullet and buy the Hunters. Am I glad I did. They're comfortable and fun to wear. I bought this color because no one else was buying it -- hence the sale price. But I love the bubble-gum appeal. The fact that I walk a black dog late at night and these boots can be seen by headlights a mile away is an added plus. In short, a great purchase.

These boots are great. A bit roomy in my size but like them like that. Came quickly regular shipping.
