First off, I would like to say Zappos customer service rocks! The best around! OK, I originally bought the Hunter Original in Chocolate. After receiving it and trying it on I thought they were a bit clunky, but still very cute. I also love the dark chocolate color. I ordered the smallest size (5), I normally wear 5 1/2-6, and they were a still a bit roomy even with my thickest socks, but comfy non-the-less. After 4 days of contemplating, I decided to exchange them for the Hunter Regent Savoy in Olive Green. After reading the reviews on this boot I thought they would be better for me and they looked cuter online. Customer Service let me keep the Original until I got to compare the 2 boots side by side, and although the sale price on the Savoys were a little more, Zappos did not charge me for the difference. Well after receiving the Regent Savoys, I have to agree with all the reviews. Very stylish, more slimming, and a slightly better fit than the Original (again a size 5). And the green color is great. All in All, super cute, especially the curve. Very. But the construction of the Savoys did not compare to the original. I could see a lot of scuff marks and scratches, which would be very visible on this boot. The Original seems to be more durable and longer lasting, especially the soles, which have very deep grooves that will take you through all elements. The Regent Savoy did not have that and I can see myself slipping on ice/snow (which a few reviews did complain about this). After 2 days of deciding and asking the advice of family and friends on this crucial matter, I decided on keeping my original purchase, the Hunter Original. For the splurge on myself, I wanted something long lasting that would take me through rain, snow, sleet, and ice. Maybe if I decided later on that I wanted a fun/stylish pair of rain boots I will purchase the Regent Savoys (I can't say enough about how cute they are). But in the end for me, functionality and durability trumps quilted cuteness and style. Plus you can add style to the Originals with the Welly socks,I think that would be hard to to with the Savoy because of the curve. If I could afford both right now, I would! But I'm off to purchase a pair of Uggs I'm drooling over and a cute pair of Welly Socks for my happily purchased Originals.

My daughters gave these to me for Christmas, hoping to make me feel like the Queen of England. They succeeded! They also gave me a bright red fleece liner, which is great. Without the liner, the boots might feel a little large.

I highly recommend these boots. They are practical and yet look very cool. I first saw them on a trip to Copenhagen where it seemed like everyone had a pair of these on. They even wear them going dancing. Living in Southern CA I don't get to use them as often as I would like, so I am actually looking forward to the rainy days when I get to put on my wellies. I read many reviews saying that the sizes run small. I usually wear a size 8-8.5 so I went ahead and ordered a size 8 and they fit perfectly. I will say that if you have very high arches they might be a bit tight in that area. Other than that they are perfect. Some people mention the white dust that they collect. That doesn't bother me. Actually, I think it is nice that they look a bit used, and you can just wipe it off with soapy water.

I love the way these boots look, but I wish Hunter would make half sizes. Also, the shaft could be a bit wider to accommodate those of us who don't have chicken legs. I definitely have to wear these with skinny jeans or leggings and my calves are average size. If you have larger calves, you'll need to get the Huntress boots, not the Original.

These are great boots! I had been considering these for years and delayed buying because they seemed expensive for what they were. These boots are super comfortable and I will get many years of use out of them. As other reviewers noted, the boots do run a little big, but only by about half size in my opinion. I normally wear a size 9 in dress shoes and a 9½ in athletic shoes. I bought the 9 in these boots and the fit is perfect - big enough to allow me to comfortably wear Hunter's welly socks when the weather is cold but not too big to be uncomfortable with regular socks. I can see how some think the boot opening is narrow, but I have narrow calves and think the opening is perfect. Room to wear them over skinny jeans or leggings and get my feet out without a struggle, but not super big either.

Love these boots! I am wearing them right now on a rainy Cleveland morning. They are a touch big on me, but I also got the fleece sock/liners for when it's colder and these make them fit perfectly snug.

I love these boots. They are so cute and feminine but your feet stay warm and dry. I will say they definitely run big. I usually wear a 6.5-7 and the 6 fits perfectly. I was able to fit in them with a pair of smartwool socks, the Hunter welly socks, and my skinny jeans with no problem. I was worried that these would be too tight in the calf and was tempted to go with the Huntresses but am so glad I didn't. I am 5'6" with a 14 inch calf and these fit just fine. I could even wear them with regular straight leg jeans if I left out the welly socks. My advice, try the Hunter originals first then if they don't fit get the Huntress...no reason to create cankles if you don't have to.

These are great boots. I recommend buying the liners too. Order a half-size down. They run big, and the liners help make them snug and cozier for cold, wet weather.

Great boots! I wear and 8 or 8.5 and ordered a 8 and they fit great even with the insert. Comfortable and great in the winter snow and rain!

Sizing note - On the website for the Hunter Boots, it says they ran small. So if you're a half size, you should order one size up. That definitely isn't the case. I am a perfect size 7.5, I wear it in every shoe and the 7 fit perfectly. The 8 was way too big. So I would recommend not ordering up a size.

The Perfect Rainboot! These rain boots are a perfect alternative when you're tired of looking at boots with cartoons and other images all over them or boots with fun, yet loud colors. Sure those boots are cute, but this boot is chic and makes a subtle yet fashionable statement. I first heard of them from Vogue magazine and with all the rave, I had to try them on for myself. I absolutely love them. They fit perfectly and look great on. They're definitely a great quality boot as well, material and craftsmanship are worth the price. If you're not sure, don't worry, Zappos has awesome customer service. They shipped my boots the next day! And were very helpful with any issues that came up. I found the initial boot size I requested to be a half size larger than I expected (most rain boots tend to run larger in size); however, there was no problem for me when I asked for a smaller size. The next shipment came the NEXT day! I was so impressed with the Zappos representative; I told her I'd give her a "shoutout"...Thanks Augusta! You were great!

I love my Hunter rainboots. My feet are always dry and they're about as stylish as rubber boots can be. My only warning would be not to try these if you have large calves. My calves are muscular but by no means large, and the shaft is a little snug. Any bigger, and they would be too tight. That being said, I have wide feet but these still are very comfortable width-wise. Overall a great boot.

Great quality, but very tight in the calf area. I can't wear anything but leggings and skinny jeans with them!

Don't buy this rainboot if you have narrow feet! I wear a size 9 narrow (AA) or slender (AAA) and thought I'd give it a shot with thick socks. Way too wide. It's a great-looking rainboot and from everything I've read, it's the best on the market, but only for ladies with at least medium width feet. However, I read that many said the top of the boot is too narrow to tuck pants inside -- my blue jeans easily fit inside the top with room to spare, and I don't have stick-thin calves. I'm still giving it 4 stars because they do only come in medium, and I ordered it anyway. I wish Hunter would make a narrow width available!

Great Rain Day Shoe - I got these in yellow and now I want them in red as well. I was waiting for the first downpour so I could wear them. I had to wait weeks... and the day of the thunderstorm was a let down. They were pretty comfy but it was a bit difficult getting them off. I think these boots will be fun on snowy/slush days, esp. in NYC when the slush can be bad.

Excellent quality, but not for this short woman - I loved these rain boots, but the shaft of each boot was so long, I couldn't bend my knee when walking. I'm 5'3" with relatively short legs, so this probably won't be a problem for most people. I was really sad that these boots did not work out. As usual, Zappos is the best place to purchase shoes anywhere.

Worth it - I decided to invest in a good rain boot after thanks to the crappy New York weather and after a long hunt this one seemed like the best option (after reading the perfect reviews here). I got my usual size 8 and it is definitely large but I’m still keeping it because I figure in the winter I will both be tucking in jeans and wearing thick socks so this will still be roomy enough for that. Other than that the shoe comes up almost to my knee, I like that too. I got the red and it’s a good true red. I’m not a fan of rain boots with vegetables and fruits on them. I still think the black one would make the best investment but the red is really cute too. Overall the quality is good, they do not have an overpowering rubber smell and are comfortable.

Best looking boots in the stables! The foot is 1/2 size big but that is what I want in a pair of muck boots so I can wear extra socks in the winter. I run so my calves are in shape which makes these boots snug around the calf since I tuck my pants in to keep them clean. This may be a problem for someone with heavy legs (Hunter does make another boot that would work). I love the fact that they do go up almost to the knee. The buckle on the side is truly decorative, as the boot itself is snug enough. (They do make boots that actually have the pleat there that can be tightened)

Fabulous sky-blue color! I get compliments every time I wear them. So comfy too. I am a size 6-6.5, and the 6 fit just fine with a thin sock. Durable...not like other cheaper rainboots I have bought, that ended up cracking after a few years. I will have these babies for years! Worth every penny.

I purchased the Hunter original boots in matte black. I'm a pretty true 6.5 and I ordered a 6. They fit just right. I'm not sure if they would still fit if I were to wear them with the boot socks, though. The calf is narrow so keep that in mind. My leg just fits with a pair of skinnies. They're great boots!

Just received my first pair of Hunter Original Rain Boots. I got them in the dark olive and I love the color. I'm 5'3 and wear a size 6.5 and the circumference of my calf is 15 inches exactly, which made me worried that it would feel tight around the calf area, but I had to try them. So, I bought them in a size 7 and it fits perfectly, it leaves enough room for thick socks and jeans to fit inside. They are not at all hard to put on or take off. Since I'm on the shorter side I was surprised that the top of the boot ended about an inch below my knees, thankfully allowing me to bend my legs freely. The rubber is very flexible in the ankle area and makes it easy and comfortable to walk in. So far I love these boots and plan to buy a second pair in a different color once I save a little more money!

If you find you mustn't grumble and need to press on, these are the boots for you! Best wellies I've found since living in England. Durable, offer decent support and shock absorption, and don't smell like a tire factory like most of the less expensive muck boots do. Shaft fits very close to skin, which I like, (keeps the moisture out) but be aware nothing other than skinny pants will fit inside.
