Poor quality - I bought a pair of these about 1.5 yrs ago directly from the Tretorn site when I first saw them in Lucky mag - I got so many compliments on them and loved them for a full season. However, the following season when I broke them out to wear, I noticed that they had a small tear near the ball of the foot. At first I thought it was because my husband put his bike on it and the pedal caused it to rip. He bought replacements for me on Zappos - but a month after wearing the new pair; I noticed the same crack as well as another tear along the raised rim around the toe. Zappos was great as usual and gave us a full refund, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I do not believe in the quality of these shoes and was quite disappointed with Tretorn's response to my complaint. I just ordered a pair of Hunters instead: 500+ five star reviews can't be wrong (I hope). I regret telling all the people who complimented me on them since they were going to buy them - don't!!

Chic Rain Boots - These rain boots are good looking and comfortable. They have a great wedge that gives you some added height. They boots fit my calves perfectly, which is rare because my calves are pretty narrow. The only issue I see having with them is that they're not made to tuck pants into.

Not for me... I really wanted to keep these boots... They felt very comfortable on, and I got to live out a little 60's go-go moment. But the legs are simply too narrow for me... They are going back to Zappos...

Extraordinary rain boots. These boots are amazing! So comfortable and so good looking. They are absolutely different from the rest of the rain boots.

Fabulous Rain Boot - Love this boot! This is my first pair of rain boots ever. I usually hate rain boots because they are so squat and unattractive. These are so not!!! I can tell you these look amazing with jeans tucked into them w/ a trench coat. I like them w/ jeans over them too. I think they are very comfortable. Nice boot. You won't go wrong w/ these.

A seriously stylin' rain boot... I live close to the water table. I have a small collection of rubber boots stashed around...at home, at work, in the car, etc. These are my favorites, mostly because no one even realizes they are rain boots. They are slim in the calf and narrow, which might be a problem for some, but worked for me. I hate floating around in rain boots. Enjoy!

Great Boots!!! I purchased these Trenton boots after a long search for a durable, fashionable waterproof boot. The boots were a bit snug in the calf area when I first zipped them up. Thankfully, the calf area loosened up after 3-4 wearings. The wedge heel is extremely comfortable to walk in, and the tall shaft keeps my legs dry when cars/buses splash me from the street. I LOVE these boots!! They are well worth the money.

Cute and unusual rain boots - These boots are attractive, unusual and comfortable for walking. I ordered the size 8 because my usual size (8.5) did not come in red. I was nervous they wouldn't fit, but the fit was perfect. They are pleasantly snug around the calf.

Tretorn's Plask Black Gum Boot - This was a Christmas gift to my daughter who had researched boots like this and knew these were exactly what she wanted. She was thrilled with them and I was thrilled with Zappos service and Matthew who helped me order these boots! As far as I know she is completely satisfied with the boots. She lives in Portland, OR and we live in Cleveland, OH.

chic rainboots! These boots are a perfect fit. I cannot wear thick socks with them. I am usually a 7 or 7.5 and these are 7.5 ( I find boots are usually 7.5). Because of the thick rubber wedge, they are very comfortable and cushioned. The elastic on the sides allow a sleek look even if your calves aren't tiny.

Stylish & dry feet - I like these! Style & dry feet in the snow & rain. But, if you want to splash in puddles, be careful 'cause the zipper could get you a little wet.

Very stylish, comfortable boot - This is a great looking rain/snow boot and comfortable! It would probably be a little too snug for those with muscular calves. On the whole, it is a comfortable, trendy and stylish boot.

Awesome, chic rain boot! I live in Portland, Oregon, where it rains practically EVERY DAY in the fall and winter, so I wanted a chic, comfortable rain boot to wear with my boot-cut jeans and knee-length skirts when picking my kids up from school and running errands. This the perfect answer to my quest! I highly recommend this boot. It is attractive (from a distance, you'd never know it was a rain boot), comfortable, and easy to take off and put on (side zipper).

Sensible yet flattering - I had been wanting a flattering rain boot for years. I wanted sleek rain boots, not seemingly ubiquitous clunky tugboat captain styles. I got the Peacoat/Lavendar color, and have been pretty pleased with it. My intention was wear the boots in fall and spring, but as the Wisconsin winter rolled in, I kept on wearing them. They are good in snow and slush, and I easily walk a mile per day in them. (If you need to spend a lot of time outdoors in below-freezing weather, get a real winter boot). The shaft of the boot is snug, but I like it that way. The rubber does not slouch or bunch up unattractively at the ankle. The shaft can still fit over medium-thick socks and long underwear. The wedge heel makes the boot stylish and eye-catching—I get unsolicited compliments daily.

Trendy rainboot - These boots were a little difficult to get on and off initially, but after 5 wear or so, they were much easier. I love them bc they are high enough to keep my pants (hemmed for my heels) from getting wet and durable enough to keep me dry. Snug around the calf.

White boots - I always wanted a pair of white boots and I was excited for these because they're rubber and for the heel because I’m short. I was a bit worried because I have strong legs and these are a tight fit for me, so with thin socks and white rubber boots I go. I wish they had a bit of padding in the foot bed.

The boots fit well and are very comfortable. That said, I have a narrow foot and narrow calf. The boots look great and I received many compliments from complete strangers! The big drawback is that after 7 months they have started to split at the seams (at the top of each foot) and split at the Achilles heel on one boot. Before that they repelled the water well.

Great in theory - I have had these boots for over a year. I initially got them because of all the great reviews on here. To be fair, they were all accurate. The boots are very nice looking, are true to size and comfortable considering they are rubber. The thing is: they let in water. And they don't last very long. Every time I wore them, water would seep in through the zipper area. Logically this makes sense, so do I have the right to be annoyed, since I should have known that the zipper wasn't a magical zipper that was also completely waterproof? Not sure. But also: water is by now coming in through a few other places. The back of the boots (right at the Achilles heel) has busted open a bit because of how it bends when walking (I guess), and the other seams aren't as tightly together as when I first got them, so water comes in through there as well. In summary, great looking, comfortable rain boot, but not very practical. I would have expected a brand like Tretorn to make a boot that is still in one piece after only a year of wearing them only - when - it - rains - hard.

Cute but don't fit right if you have any calves at all. I loved these boots but unfortunately the upper leg was too tight in the size 9. I could zip them closed, but far too tight to deal w/ all day. The foot area was true to size, so if you have skinny calves, get em! If you have any calf at all, risky... although not that risky since free ship both ways.

Exhausting to walk in - i returned these because they were just too darn hard to walk in. The rubber didn't bend too easily at the ankle. The white rubber isn't sealed in any way, so right out of the box, they looked a little dingy: these are not shiny go-go boots. That said, I really did like the way they look, they weren't uncomfortable, per se. I ordered big to wear with thick socks.

Cute but not durable - I like the look of these boots, but they are surprisingly heavy (thus making longer walks very tiring). And the rubber cracked at the back near the ankle on both pairs that I bought after a few months.

Cracked! You might wonder how the overall rating is lower than the comfort and look. Well, I got a pair and after 4 months of wearing them, they cracked at the ankle. I was so disappointed since I like them. Luckily the store replaced them free of charge. But, now my second pair just cracked too (after only ONE month!). So, these are not so durable.

Cute but painful - These boots are adorable, I got them in the peacoat color and was psyched to try them on. They fit my foot great but were tight around the calf. I'm a size 4 or 6 so barely being able to zip these was a little surprising. I made the mistake of wearing normal socks the first day and lost some skin on the back of my calf. You NEED socks taller than the boot or you will regret it. My toes felt numb after walking 2 blocks - whether it as the hard inner sole or the tightness of the rubber I am not sure. I'll revise this after I've seen how they hold up.

Mine cracked, too. Right at the ankle only after a few months. I bought mine from Zappos and didn’t complain since I wore it outdoors... but it’s still a disappointment as I spent so much. I’m pretty peeved as these were very cute and quite comfortable, but I won’t buy again.
