Already had a pair in black, bought the brown because I like them so much. Nice enough to wear with a suit in the winter, which I do. Best comfort for extensive walking in the city - larger cut is perfect for accommodating orthotics. Worth the price, as I wear either the black or brown every day when it's cold. Will remove the tabs to keep from holding my pant cuffs up (most boots do this), they're not needed.

Wanted a comfortable, stylish ankle boot to wear with business casual clothes. Far surpassed my expectations. Extremely comfortable from first wear. Waterproof wasn't a selling point but I've found myself putting these on for rainy days and they are fantastic. Bought another pair of Ecco shoes based on my reaction to these. Expensive, but worth it. As other reviewers have stated, these run about a size larger than normal.

Excellent, versatile boot. I\'ve worn them in full winter conditions, and they have kept my feet dry and held up well. Perfect for business casual and casual clothes in cold and wet seasons. The profile is subtle enough that they resemble regular shoes, yet the boot fends off the snow and wet. Easy on and off and comfortable. Not a good choice for the beach, boardroom, or hunting expedition, but they\'ll get you through most everything else.

First off, these run a size larger than stated, so order the next size down from what you normally wear. I normally wear a 45, but had to get a 44 in these. I have several pairs of Eccos and the Berlin boot does not disappoint. Perfect right out of the box with little break in time. Gore-Tex lining is perfect for those rainy and cold days. After wearing these several times, they begin to form to your feet, making them even more comfortable. Looks great with a suit or khakis or even jeans.

This is my second pair of Ecco Berlin boots. I loved the first pair. They are light and waterproof. They wear well. Zappos had the best deal on a new pair. They ship quick. Thanks, Zappos!

I'll definitely be buying another pair of these boots. A great combination of style and comfort. They are a full size smaller than stated. If you usually wear a size 43, then order a size 42.

Order the next size smaller! I should have listened to the customer surveys, but I called Ecco directly and they told me the Berlin GTX boot ran true to size. Not! I am always a size 43, and that's what I ordered. I only had to put on one shoe to find out that Ecco was wrong in the advice they gave me. (That aside, I've bought at least 10 different pairs of Ecco shoes and boots, and I've never been disappointed. They always look great, are very comfortable, and they last almost forever!) A quick call to Zappos was all it took to have a size 42 on its way, even before the 43s were shipped back to Zappos. I love this company! And their customer service is truly that. Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable. I'm sold! I'll let you know how the shoes work out when I get them.

For a place with a variety of weather possibilities (like Boston), these are great all-around boots. They are appropriate with just about anything (from casual to more dressy), they are very comfortable, and they can take a lot of wear. I've worn a pair of these for a year now and am looking to get another. Recommend getting the size lower than your usual size (I am an 11 in most shoes, but in these I am a 10-10.5).

I really like the looks of the boot. It's lightweight and fits well. After wearing the pair for a day I noticed that a lacing eyelet came loose on the inside of the boot. Not a big deal except for the price I would have expected more durability.

Comfortable right out of the box - My husband bought these for work and also to wear with nicer jeans, etc. He stated the shoes are very light, the leather is very soft and they were pretty comfortable right out of the box. That said, they are slightly wide for his feet. But my husband has very narrow feet. They also accommodate his orthotics, which he was happy about.

My son asked for this shoe for Christmas. I ordered both the size he asked for (not his usual size) and also his usual size. My order was delivered the next day so I had it in plenty of time before Christmas. I wrapped the size he asked for and put it under the tree. When he took it out of the box, what a wonderful looking shoe! He put it on and it fit perfectly, felt great. I have had two pairs of these boots both have been very comfortable and dry and warm but both pairs the soles cracked about a month after purchasing them. Ecco replaced the first pair for free but told me they would not do that for the second pair. I have to admit I do a lot of squatting down in my job bending the sole to extremes but with the rubber sole I would expect them to not crack. I will say that even with the cracks they do not leak water even when above the sole. I love the boots but just wish the soles would not crack.
