Love this boot!! I was concerned about width because of the other reviews. I have a wide foot, but a fairly low arch. The boots fit snugly, but perfectly! They are so comfortable and so warm. I can't wait for the cold weather!!

Love these! Really warm, fuzzy and even cute with jeans! These are not streamlined boots- they are wide, but they are great for outdoor winter activities. I took them skiing last year and didn't feel strange wearing them out, but might feel weird wearing them while sightseeing in NYC.

Good snow boot - This boot gives me good traction on snow and no ankle slippage in the boot when walking my dogs. Very warm with my everyday Red Wing socks.

Warm feet! I love these boots. They were reasonable, completely waterproof, and although they kind of made me look like I had duck feet at first, I got used to them VERY quickly. Traction could be better on ice, but on snow they're fantastic. Also, I got them in black and they look nice enough that I can wear them as "dress shoes" under my black trousers without anyone noticing! Zappos is amazing! The boots were here in TWO DAYS.

Excellent buy!!!! I absolutely love these boots!!!! I owned a couple of pairs of the Sorel Caribou in different colors...but the Tootega are now my very favorite. I find them a lot warmer than the Caribou; my toes NEVER get cold....and trust me it gets cold in WY....lots of snow here. I find them a bit big around the ankle after tightening them. I wear a 6 ½ and I got my size...and I wear heavy socks and it's fine!!!

Fantastic! These boots are so cute! I just got them at work and put them on. They are so cozy and warm. I got lots of compliments on them too. Its 7 degrees here in Boston and I can’t wait to test them out on the way home. And I ordered up half a size as suggested which worked out.

The absolute, by far, best boots ever! I haven't taken them off yet! Great in snow, rain and sunny warm days too! LOVE them! Might have to order another pair!

hurrah! These are great! I wear 8.5, I needed to go to a 9 because of the fur lining. I'd say go up an half size if you expect to wear socks. They are comfortably snug with socks in a 9 for me. With that said..AWESOME BOOTS! I never pay full retail for anything nor do I buy things this pricey usually but it's totally worth it! I am so pleased with this brand I already want to get several more styles, maybe once they go on spring markdowns I will. I am VERY picky about shoes and these pass with flying colors. I want to go to the snow now just so I can walk around in them. I also like that they are light weight and easily packed when traveling. Often I don't bring extra boots when traveling simply due to the extra baggage weight and the space some can take in luggage but these should be no problem. I wouldn't be caught dead in Ugg boots outside of the house. These are more stylish.

Really comfortable! Great boots! Waterproof and warm! Perfect for slush or snow. I wore them out in a snow storm and slush and my feet were completely dry!

Great boots - I love these boots. I was apprehensive about spending so much money on them, but so far they have been worth it. They are furry and warm all the way down through the toes unlike most other winter boots. I have a circulatory condition that makes my feet extremely sensitive to cold and these boots have done an excellent job at keeping me comfortable (I’m in Minnesota, so I’m talking about in REAL winter too). The only thing about them I don’t like is that they are a little too short for keeping snow out all the time, and your socks sort of slide down after walking in them a bunch, but overall they are warm and awesome.

Warm in Vermont - I have been wearing Merril winter shoes for the past several years but don't like their revised style and fit for this season so I have been on a boot quest. The last pair of Sorel's I bought were from 1973; they are a men's boot because they didn't make women styles back then-I still have them for long excursions into the woods. These Sorel Tootegas are great!!! Great traction in the snow, reasonable on icy pavement. My feet stay warm and dry all day as long as I take the foot liner out at night to air out- which is very easy to do. These boots are incredibly comfortable-like being barefoot but warm in the snow. Well made, lightweight and easy on and off. The buckles around the ankle let me adjust the fit so that even though I have narrow heels they stay on and feel snug with little to no heel slippage.(I wear a size 8 or 38/39) I expect these boots will serve me well in the back woods of Vermont as well as on my weekday trips to town for work. Zappos was great to deal with. I made several returns until I found the right boots and everything was incredibly fast both ways. At one point I spoke with someone in person and they were also a pleasure to deal with. It is truly amazing these days to find a company that seems to be doing everything the right way. Thanks-Enjoy the snow!

Byebye Uggs - It was either Uggs or these Sorel boots, and after much contemplation. I decided to pick these. Living on the east coast and having to deal with so much snow/ice, I needed something for traction – and not fashion. Uggs are comfy and cute, but yet so are these, and they're even better! After getting hit with some snow this week, I put on these boots and tested them on the slippery ice. The traction on these boots is amazing. I even got a lot of compliments after wearing them for two days. Just like the previous owner said, you don’t need to break into them at all. They feel like slippers to me! I am a size 6, and ordered a 6. If I wear thick socks, the boots will be tight because it is so thick inside. Plan on wearing thinner socks or no socks at all! I ordered it on a late Saturday afternoon and got it Monday evening – thanks Zappos for the quick service!

Super Cool - I love these boots! I tried the whole UGGS thing but I wanted boots that would take a beating. These look amazing and are really comfortable. Arch support is great, the side sinches easily pull loose or tighten, no need to undo the buckles! I bought super fun Papaya.

Very Comfy - I bought these shoes for a winter trip to NY, but have not gotten to test them out yet. I am from Florida so it is important that I have a shoe that can keep my feet warm when traveling to places that are actually cold. I certainly believe these shoes will do the trick…and they are so comfy. I feel like I could stride through slush and snow and still be warm and comfortable. Too bad they won't be of much use down here!

Love ‘em!! I am a shoe person known as grammashoe; so I love trying new brands. This was a great choice! From the moment I put them on I knew these are my new faves. Comfy, warm, but not too warm, easy on and off...what more can you ask! Love the shoes, service and everything about Zappos!!

Just Like Slippers - I ordered a bunch of Sorrel boots as I need waterproof and warmth for walking around our property in the wet/snowy months. The others were somewhat stiff except for the men’s Bota Bags which slipped in the heel. Maybe a half size smaller in those would have worked. I got these in 9 and I take 8-1/2 or 9 and they fit perfectly and will allow for some heavy socks, too. These are very cute and comfy. Hope they are warm as well. I really need a wider than B width and these have plenty of toe room for me without heel slippage. What a find! I also like the side cinches which allow for snugging up.

Simply put, these are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I'm not sure how they will hold up to extreme cold but I got mud on them and wasn't able to clean them until two or three days after. I wiped with a towel and water and they cleaned up quite nicely. I highly recommend them.

Warm, cozy, dry, comfortable! These boots are the best cold weather footwear I've ever owned! Chicago's Winter has definitely put them to the test with an abundance of snow and subzero temps this last month. They kept my feet warm and dry without sweating. They are comfy, cute, stylish, easy to put on and take off. Yes, they are a bit wide and duck-like as others stated (I affectionately call them my mukluk-duck boots). The width is a plus for me as most boots are too narrow for my foot. The width does not hinder driving or make walking clumsy or awkward at all. The tread has adequate traction on ice and snow. The suede/leather is soft and pliable, no need to break them in. I have received many compliments on them. I am the envy of everyone at the office! Mom and sister even asked to try them on and commented on how soft and warm they are. My only complaint is that the right heels slips a bit, but maybe one foot is a bit smaller than the other. The boots are nearly perfect, but I am not.

brown Tootega - As others have said, this boot does make your foot look extra large and wide. The profile is cute though. I'll put up with being bigfoot for the warmth. Chicago winters can get brutal, and this boot is easy on and off when you come and go.

Too tight - so sad - I adore these boots and shopped a long time for them. I finally kept the third pair, a size 8.5 and I usually wear a 7.5. They're still much too tight though. I wear thick socks, but even with thin ones, they bind across the arch. They're so pretty and cozy and I really wanted a stylish, slip-on, warm winter boot. There seems to be quite a bit of variation in the way the innersole fits. It does not have the lovely, roomy toe box the old-fashioned Sorrel Caribou has. I guess I need a men's boot for my wide, falling arches.

Send em back - If you live in the North Pole this is the book for you. Super cute and very warm. I run wide and this boot was a too tight across the arch. Very well made. Heavy looking and makes your foot look bigger then it is. If it was wider I would keep them.

I was looking for a warm, water-proof boot that would accommodate my orthotics. The Sorel Tootega not only accommodated my orthotics, but allowed enough room to fit my orthotics into the boot on top of the very cushy removable insert. Without my orthotics, I need a heavy, thick sock. With my orthotics, I can wear a medium weight sock comfortably. Plenty of room in toe box and plenty warm, too. The boot is quirky cute!

SOREL TOOTEGA - These shoes were comfy from the second I put them on. They took no breaking in. Very warm, sometimes too warm. Great for lots of snow and cold weather. The only problem is that the boots are difficult to get off due to the belt-like closures. Other than that, excellent.
