I was sure I'd love these boots but I don't. They are extremely hard to get on and when you try to pull them off the whole lining comes out and is hard to push back in without wrinkling. Way to frustrating to deal with each time you step outside. So I had to return them.
Also didn't like the way the tongue in the front of the boot sits way lower than the fur wrapping around the top- just looks weird in a mullet hairdo type of way.
Last but not least the pull tabs have snaps and as you pull them they pop open and unsnap which is startling and annoying. I can't understand why these boots are so popular other than they are cool colors with nice fur. Oh well, back to the drawing board for normal looking winter boots.

I bought these boots Winter of 2016. I had been wanting them for several years, due to very cold Chicago winters. Well, I didn't have to wear them too much because of the mild winter. So I wore them maybe 3 times that winter, and the following winter also a handful and last winter more than the previous two. That first winter, I noticed right away, that they leaked. My feet were wet, and cold. Even with Dr scholls inserts, they are cold and wet if there is a lot of snow and slush. I haven't bought new boots since these were 200 bucks.
My feet are freezing right now and all i did was walk out of the house and drive to work.
Please be aware. The boots say waterproof on them, and all the getup on them makes them look warm, but it's a farce.

Shoveled snow today. 7 inches. Was out for 1 hour and could not feel my toes. 12 degrees. Terrible. Shoveled yesterday twice. 23 degrees. Feet were fine. Today I wore 2 pair wool socks and it did not help. They are cute but clunky. Size 8 true to size maybe big in heal.

This boot was very heavy and bulky. The heel area is very wide and my foot lifted up with every step I tried to take. Could not have walked in these boots on dry land, let alone in the snow, without working hard to keep my feet from slipping out of the heel.

So disappointed. Very difficult to get on and off. Once on, very uncomfortable. Sad to say they are going back.

I recently replaced my very old Sorels, and they were a great boot (light, warm and dry) for decades. Unfortunately the new Sorel Caribou boot I bought are not waterproof as advertised. Before the first use, I applied a waterproofing leather conditioner (recommended by the retailer), and although I've only used them three times, they leak at the seam. I was not in deep snow either, only 2-3 inches. Wet feet are not warm feet. Very disappointed and will try additional waterproofing or attempt to return the boots.

I've been eyeing these boots for awhile. They looked so cute in the photos but not so IRL or in a size 10! Based on other reviews, I ordered a full size larger. I normally wear a 9, so I ordered a 10. The length was okay but they were so wide, they looked like clown shoes! And, as others have said, they were incredibly heavy and hard to put on. The search for the perfect winter boot continues...

I also noticed this year one boot has cracks where the boot creases. The boots look brand new with moderate use but unfortunately one boot will leak now
Poor quality rubber. Funny how the right boot is the only one that is cracked. I had a pair of different brand from 20 years ago they are still holding up after getting beat up. They have no tread left and that's all the wear someone could expect from a quality product.

After 4 seasons of light-to-moderate use the rubber developed cracks where the toe box creases on each boot. I can see other micro-cracks forming in other areas of the rubber. I expect much better quality from Sorrel. My similarly designed LLBean boots lasted for over 20 years without cracking. I chose the Sorrel's this time due to the heavier, better gripping soles, but it wasn't worth it.

'You look like a woolly mammoth' is what my husband said when he saw these on me. They're bulky, heavy, cumbersome to walk in, and the worst thing is that the furry top literally looks like a prehistoric animal, not in a good way. Sending back without a second thought.

I was excited to get these boots for an upcoming trip to Iceland. However when they arrived, I couldn't even get my foot into them. The fur on top shed all over the place. I sent them back immediately and ordered something else.

I have had these boots for a few years but have only worn them a few times. The back spine of the boot rubs your heel SO badly. There is not an amount of socks that you can wear to stop this from happening. It is worse on one side so possible a defect but regardless a $200 pair of boots that I cannot wear.

My parents got me these for Christmas. I needed a solid pair of snow boots for winters in Rochester. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to return them or not as they looked clunky and heavy. I should have just went with my initial reaction to return them. I wore them for the winter and they did not keep my feet warm or dry, even with thick socks. One of the liner snaps broke after 3 wears, even though I never touched it. They also got a white line on the suede where it creases when you move. It was a pretty mild winter and I must say they did not hold up well at all even with special care and further waterproofing. I will still keep them for the really bad days, but will be buying different boots as my main pair.

After about a year, worn about 18 times, the rubber section of the Caribou men's boots developed cracks in the area that bends when walking. The resultant hole is about 4" long. Several other reviews of your boots also cite this condition. (I received no incentive for this comment and am not interested in any sweepstakes or gift card.)

Do not keep my feet warm at all. Have to use feet warmers in them. Too bad because they are a good looking boot. And the temperature was 0 degrees and you can see they are rated -25 degrees. Hmmmm

I bought those boots hoping I will have warm and dry boots for my winter commute but I am so disappointed. I have not even wore them 10 times and they are leaking. My feet are wet and cold. I cannot wear them anymore. I spent so much money to have wet and cold feet. Do not waste your money, ladies. Find other brands that you would know your feet will be dry at least if spending so much money.

I bought these Joan of Arctic boots hoping to justify the price by having both stylish AND warm boots. I've tested them for 2 Midwest winters now and am very disappointed that even with 2 pair of wool socks on, my feet freeze when it's anywhere below +10 F outside. As others have said, for the price you'd think they would be warm at least to their rated temp of -25 F. My husband did some research now after I spoil the fun with my cold feet and said I should get Muk boots. They are cheaper and rated to -40 F.

A few years ago, I bought the Sorel Tofino snow boots, planning to use them when out playing in the snow with my children. Silly me, I didn't read the fine print, that they're best for walking on top of cleared snow, as opposed to keeping feet warm when walking through snow. This season, I decided to buy the Joan of Arctic, given its great reviews. I wore them once, on top of 2" of snow in 32 degree weather and my toes were cold. Yes, it's a heavier boot, but my feet felt the same coldness as when I wear my Tofino boots out in the snow. Luckily, the retailer took the boots back and gave me a full refund without any hassle. I WILL NEVER BUY BOOTS FROM SOREL AGAIN. I do not trust this company and I do not have $200 to keep throwing around on snow boots that don't keep my feet warm in the snow.

These boots are so great looking, and definitely kept my feet warm during winter in Wyoming, but the rubber has now cracked and the boots are all but useless for cold wet weather. For the steep price, these boots should last way longer than 1.5 years.

I got these boots last Christmas after wanting them for years. I was so disappointed when I realize I can not wear them. If there is any ice under the snow, the boots are extremely slippery. I have fallen miltiple times.
So disappointing

Ew. Sorry, I realize most people seem to like/love this boot, but not me. I saw a friend wearing it and loved it on her, but I didn't think they looked good on me. They are incredibly heavy, which made them uncomfortable for me - felt like I was lugging huge bricks around on my feet. (OK, slight exaggeration, but still...) I ordered the Black 2 color, wasn't very impressive in real life. They do seem warm, though I will add that the furry lining around the top of the boot started shedding even when I was simply trying them on. Oh, and they don't slip on easily, that's for sure. Maybe they're great for some, but not for me.

I love Sorel, it's my go to winter boot brand but i am really disappointed in these boots. The first few wears were great, they are super comfy and warm. After about 5 wears in heavy snow, they started leaking and my feet freeze in about 10 minutes. These are quite pricy and should last longer.
