While these boots are nice, they are not properly sized. It was my first order with Sorel and I was really excited for my shoes but they are both a little narrow and too short. I am always a size 6.5 and these are very tight even with my thin socks on. So I asked the chat representative for an exchange but that is not allowed. Buyer beware, the sizing isnt accurate (order up) and you have to pay a fee to return and there is no exchange option if you get them on sale. Very disappointing. I expect more from a reputable brand like Sorel.

I have flat feet and these didn’t feel like they would give me the support I need for extended wear throughout the day.

I returned because it was too small. Reordered a 7.5, I usually wear a 7 but was a little nervous about getting the 8... The boot was warm, felt great and I liked the sheepskin liner as opposed to all the fluffy ones. I would feel better if I received the notice stating they acknowledge my return...

The boots look great, but they were too narrow for my right foot (bunion), especially if I want to wear a thick sock. I normally wear 8-8.5, (depending on the shoe manufacturer) so had to go up to the 9.5, but these didn't work for me. I chose the Baffin Dana because they fit my foot better than the Sorel, although I don't think they are as "fashionable." But for a New Year's Arctic Circle trip in Norway, I want to make sure my feet are warm and comfortable.
I'd also recommend:
Baffin Dana

Nice looking but push your Achilles tendon forward and the toebox is not big enough or long enough. Can't walk well in these they are awkward. Not enough support for the price. They look really stupid unless you have kid sized legs as the fur won't go but halfway around your legs even if you're not quite wide calf. If you have tiny or super small legs you might like them. Definitely not for many people.

Very gray for a "khaki" color. Actual sizing I feel ran big. The toe is oddly shaped and they're difficult to walk in. Already shipped them back. Waiting for my refund. Thank you.

I've had these for a couple of years and the rubber on the top separated and now they leak. Contacted Sorel and they only have a one year warranty. Not worth the money. Go buy yourself some snowmobile boots instead!

I'm looking forward to the snow so I can wear these boots. There's lots of traction so I know it's going to be easy to walk around campus.

Love the look. I had to send them back twice before. They run very small. Still a bit tight at 1.5 sizes up, but will make them work! They are pretty!

Boots are really nice looking and warm, but they do run a small. I actually had to size up and they were still a little small. I'm hoping they will stretch a little with thick socks on.

At first they feel a little tight. You have to give them time to form to your feet. Only thing is you can't wear thick socks but thats ok they keep your feet warm anyways. I got my normal size 8.5

Unfortunately this is the second pair I have had to order and they still DO NOT fit!!!! Please stop advertising to size down. I'm an 8.5 in shoes, I measured according to Sorels size guide and measured as a 9. Since they say "This boot runs a little large due to the tough, roomy liner that's perfect for thick socks. Consider sizing down." I did. The 8.5 was way too small, in the 9 my big toes rub on the front still, not as bad as the 8.5 though. The structure of the heel/ankle shoves your foot forward and makes a gap between your heel and the boot. Which I'm assuming will cause blisters with the slippage. They are pretty though.

I have a pair of Joan d Artic boots. Only wore 3 times during first winter season and the snaps that hold the liner to the boot broke. Sent back under warranty and they were returned in the same condition, with snaps unfixed. Poor workmanship, warranty, and customer service @Sorel!

Ordered online, received boots promptly. Sorel advises sizing down since boots are cut large. I stayed with my normal boot size and the Sorel's were tight. I could only wear them with light socks, and they were tight across the top of the arch. Returned - which was fairly easy - and ordered a half size larger. Couldn't just exchange them. Had to return one and order the second size. Replacements showed up and fit worse. Felt liner is much thinner than it used to be, and on the boots I got the felt wouldn't even meet at the top of my arch or my ankle. That means in cold only my sock and the leather tongue protect my foot from the outside temp's. Arch of boot was also tight where the tongue is sewn in. Can't comment on durability. Poor fitting on two pair indicate a quality control problem. If you're going to buy these, go into a store and try them on first. When I called to return the second pair Sorel said there was a return fee. Customer service did agree to waive the fee when I talked with them some more about why I was returning the boots. Pity. I used to lover Sorel's.

The boots are attractive and warm, but are a little stiffer than I expected. Maybe they will relax with wear. Reviews said they run big but I think they are true to size. I would have gotten a little bigger if I had known. Overall satisfied with the boots.

Good fit, but it's hard to get your feet into them, especially if you have a high in-step like me.

I live in the mountains and this is my third pair of Joan of arctic boots. I finally downsized a half size and love the fit. I normally wear and 8.5 and ordered an 8. I was able to break them in within a couple weeks and very happy with how comfortable and warm they feel

These boots are beautiful, however, even though I ordered a size larger than my usual Sorels, they were very tight and had to be returned.
