foot size is fine but the calf is too small

Great boot.... great style and super warm. runs a little big.

LOVE LOVE these boots. Super warm and super cute. Received many compliments on them. They run true to size but if you are thinking of wearing thicker than normal socks I would get a size and a half larger. I wore them all around Chicago. Comfortable to walk in too.

My daughter has anywhere between a 10-1/2 to 11-1/2 size foot that is fairly narrow, so it is hard to fit. Generally in boots she wears a size 10-1/2. We ordered these boots in a size 11 as well as another pair of Sorel boots and they were both too short. She didn't like the large amount of fur on the top and thought they were bulky and heavy to regularly walk across her college campus - these are personal preferences, of course, so it may be different for other customers. The next size up would be a 12, so since that would feel even clunkier, we will be going with a different boot.

I received these boots last year as a Christmas gift. They're super warm and stylish boots, but buyer beware... if you have large feet (I wear a size 9, but bought an 8.5), these boots definitely make them look BIGGER. These look cute over jeans or leggings, add a pair of leg warmers and you're sure to be bombarded with compliments.

The 2 main comments I have to add after carefully reading so many reviews before I bought these boots: 1. They are true to size. Don't size down. As a matter of fact, if anything, I'd have gone half size up to accommodate extra socks. Like another reviewer mentioned, if your boots are too tight, your feet will be cold. 2. They didn't bother my heels at all- I have no idea how they could. Can the anatomy of people's feet be that different? I have very thin calves, don't know if that could make a difference. They are adorable. They are high enough to keep the snow out in most conditions. I finally feel like I've embraced my inner Minnesotan. Recommend!

Gorgeous. Love them so much. Perfect fit after one or 2 wears for the lining to comapact a little. :)

Got these last year in preparation for a bitter Chicago winter, which ultimately turned out to be not so bad. I got them in my regular size 8.5 and kept them, but they do feel a bit large when I wear them with tights. They're a heavy duty boot, so walking long distances in them is challenging, but they do keep your feet pretty warm and very dry. I usually wear them to shovel snow or to get to/from my car when at work. I actually keep a pair of flats that I change into at work, because these boots are very heavy. This year I am investing in a different style by Sorel, which I hope will provide me with the waterproofing offered by this boot, but in a lighter, more streamlined style that is more suitable for walking several city blocks without feeling like an Eskimo.

They are super cute for snow boots but the arch support lacks. they are a cute version of the duck boots many of us wore in new england 20+ years ago. warmer but with the same level (o lack there of) of foot support.. I'm not sure i can wear them for a long period of time

Great boots! I got these for Christmas a couple years ago and have absolutely loved them, so this year I purchased them for my mom. I've worn these in all types of conditions and my feet always stay warm and cozy. I love the height, I am 5'9" with long legs and these still come up plenty high. Sorel's are some of my favorite boots and I would recommend them to everyone!

LOVE!! I usually wear a 9.5 in just about everything, but got a 9 based on the reviews and everyone was right! Go for the smallest size you have known to fit in, and that will be the size you need. The descriptions said the boot was wide and it is. Not too wide, but if you have moderately wide feet like I do you will be happy with this boot. The liner makes getting these boots off and on a little challenging but not impossible. I love the style and color (I got the gray ones), and they are super warm. I bought these so I could go out all winter with my kids to various places and they are fitting for these occasions and very comfortable. I would buy these again and recommend them to my friends.

These boots are awesome! They look great and are so well made. I usually wear a 7 1/2 in shoes and an 8 in boots. I ordered the 7 1/2 after reading the reviews and I think they are a perfect fit. Very happy with this purchase!

LOVE this boot! I'm either an 8.5 or a 9. I ordered an 8.5 because some reviews said the boot ran large. Unfortunately, the 8.5 is too tight through the ball of the foot with thick socks (which I want to be able to wear with the boots). I am returning it for a size 9. I would not order down. Either order your true size or up 1/2 size if you want to be able to wear the boots with good winter socks.

These boots look like they will keep me warm, dry and toasty in our cold snowy winters. I love the height of the boots and they lace up nicely which will keep the snow out of them. The fur trim adds a nice touch to the boots as well I look forward to snow to put these boots to good use. I normally wear a size 9 but ordered 9.5 to accommodate thick socks. I am glad I did.

fit great on my feet but too small for my calf's, so sad to return then :(
