The cutest and warmest snow boots I've ever owned! I generally have to buy wide calf boots, but these fit great!

After wearing the same pair of snow boots (that were my absolute favorite) since 2008, I decided it was time to upgrade. I am so glad that I did! The Sorel Joan of Arctic boots are incredibly comfortable, cozy, and cute. These will be the perfect boots for getting around on snowy days and will even fit into my snowshoes when I feel like getting out into the mountains. So far, I am really happy with the warmth, tread, and waterproof features of these boots. I will caution others: the fur on top will make these boots not suitable for tromping through super high snow, but if you throw a pair of gators on they would probably be just fine.

These boots are super cute ! I wear a 8 1/2 or a 9 and I'm glad I ordered a 9 because they are a bit snug. Overall very happy with my purchase!

Several customers commented that these boots run big, and a few said they run small. I was surprised to find that they also ran small for me, and I have narrow, flat feet. The only time I ever wear a size 7.5 is when I buy Asics. Otherwise I am always a 7. I had to return the pair of size 7s for 7.5 because my toes were right up against the front without socks on. Other than the sizing issue, I am very happy with them.

Love my new boots! I've been looking into purchasing these boots for some time so I was glad to find a good price for these on Zappos. They are warm and very waterproof after about an hour walking in/shoveling snow. I'm usually a size 7.5 or 8 with a narrow foot, and I'm glad I went with the 7.5. They fit great with room for thicker socks. I'm usually iffy about the look and feel fake fur accents but these look so cute and seem like they will hold up after time.

Love these boots!! Originally ordered a 10.5 because of previous reviews stating they run big, however I need the size 11. Very comfortable and super cute style

Warm and stylish. I love these, they are a bit klunky but they keep my feet warm in the snow and go with everything I wear.

On the first day I wore them the snap rivet broke off on the side, and after standing in a few inches of snow in 32 degrees weather for just a few hours, my feet were freezing and wet. I would 100% not recommend except for the fact that they are super super cute.

Super comfortable, warm, water-proof and cute!

These shoes are very comfortable and I imagine they would keep your feet very warm in winter weather. However, if you have a large foot and a small frame, they look massive. I'm 5'10", 135 lbs with a 10.5 M foot. When I tried on these shoes my feet looked absolutely massive. They were extremely wide and bulky. Where I live we typically don't have temperatures below zero, so they were too much boot for my climate, especially considering how they looked on my foot. The cushioning inside the boot was phenomenal. I felt like I was walking on a cloud. The leather that comprised the shaft of the boot was more supple than I expected, which was a nice surprise. They definitely appear to be well made boots, just be aware they are heavily insulated, which will impact the aesthetics.

These are beautiful and super warm. I initially thought the 7 was too small (and I'm pretty much a true 7, sometimes 6.5 in heels, sometimes 7.5 in ballet slippers), so returned and got the 7.5. Then I realized the 7 was actually fine, got another one ordered and of course Zappos was great through this whole process. No worries with returning and figuring out the size. Now the style is gorgeous. I have the North Face Arctic Parka in NWB and the gray in these boots is so cute and goes great with the coat. I tried the black Joan of Arctic as well, but really loved the gray more. It's just adorable!!!! Warm them inside last night and my feet were on fire. This is great for me as I have reynaud's and my feet are always freezing. Looking forward to wearing them outdoors to walk the dogs and just around in general. The only negative thing is that since they are so tall, it's harder to bend your foot so for walking around town/hiking a shorter pair might be easier.

I cannot rate these for their suitability in snow, yet. In east TN, we don't get snow frequently enough that I suspect these will get a ton of use. But, we have it enough that the days we do, I regret not owning snow boots. These fit very true to size, seem to be of very good quality. They are comfortable, look expensive, and are super adorable.

These hit the mark. They have been my daily go-tos since I received them. They keep my feet warm walking on ice, are relatively easy to get on and off and have good tread. I put a pair of YakTrax on them and I am invincible! I agree with other reviewers that these run a little big if you are in the fence.

I wanted to keep these boots so badly. I wear an 11 pretty consistently, but the size 11 were too short. I was so disappointed because they were otherwise very comfortable and cute. I know they'd keep my fee toasty in any weather.

I wanted a stylish pair of boots for the winter months and to travel with when skiing. These boots have been great so far and I love how they incorporate fashion into a boot. I did have to go a half size large than I do normally in boots. Ordered a 10.5 but had to go to an 11 and might I add their exchange process is amazing with Zappos! So easy and my other boots arrived the next day! I was able to wear these boots today in Colorado and they were awesome! Thanks Zappos team for always having great customer service and being accommodating to your customers.

Wanted to love these boots but they had a tight fit around the ankle. It was hard to push my foot down into the foot bed. I may try a larger size.

Super cute boots, but practical as well. I live in Wisconsin and they work great in the snow! Also have gotten many compliments on them. Definitely thinking of getting another pair in a different color!

I've been coveting these boots for a while and finally treated myself - they are great snow boots. Stylish and super warm.

I was looking for a boot that would keep my feet warm, snow proof and stylish. I've tried Lands End and Columbia and neither delivered. My feet are always cold. So much that I wear fuzzy socks with Uggs sometimes. Overall these shoes didn't disappoint! I gave it 4 not 5 stars because the first pair of boots I ordered on of the rivets came out the first time I wore it. Thankfully with Zappos amazing return policy and customer service it was not a problem and I got a new pair right away. I tried a size 7 on the second pair (6.5 the first - which is what I typically am) and I felt my heel slipping even with thicker socks so for me I feel they were true to size. So I returned those and 3 has been the charm :). The first time I put them on I had a hard time with the elastic over the arch of the foot. But after the initial time I wore them they fit great. I can actually wear these all day in snow or inside. Bonus I get compliments all the time on how cute they are! I would definitely recommend these boots.

I had lowered expectations for these boots because I saw a woman at the post office in the same boots I had just ordered that day. living in Montana, I was particularly sick of slipping on ice and tired of cold feet from my leather fashion winter boots. I have tried Keens and Merrill's and both have too little, to no insulation, and the soles are worthless on ice. I asked the lady at the P.O. how she like the boots and if they were good on ice and she said they were nice and warm but terrible on ice. I recently bought an urban farm of 3.5 acres and have chickens and am splitting wood and have all sorts of chores in a foot of snow. I wanted work boots for my property and something to keep me warm in the office at work. The boots are great for urban farming in 12 " of snow and do not slip around on regular hard pack snow. I read the snow gets into these boots, but I lace them up tight with my pants tucked in and have not had problems. They are not so good on ice. Why can't they make good soles for ice? My only two complaints with these boots are: that the ankles have no support so always have a visible outer wrinkle that I feel on my ankles and is uncomfortable...and they are really hard to pull off because even with the laces completely loosened the ankles are tight. My feet are nice and warm though.

I only gave this boot a 3, but that is mainly because of the size. After reading quite a few reviews, I decided I would stick with my normal size 10. (I have other Sorel's and they are a size 10 also). After TRYING to put them on, I gave up. There is a part on the insert that makes it too hard to put on. I don't have wide feet or even higher arched feet. It was very hard to put on. I am hoping if I try a 10.5 that they will fit. I loved the look of them & am hoping the next size will help. I will update when I try.
