I wanted to keep these boots so badly. I wear an 11 pretty consistently, but the size 11 were too short. I was so disappointed because they were otherwise very comfortable and cute. I know they'd keep my fee toasty in any weather.

I've been coveting these boots for a while and finally treated myself - they are great snow boots. Stylish and super warm.

I was looking for a boot that would keep my feet warm, snow proof and stylish. I've tried Lands End and Columbia and neither delivered. My feet are always cold. So much that I wear fuzzy socks with Uggs sometimes. Overall these shoes didn't disappoint! I gave it 4 not 5 stars because the first pair of boots I ordered on of the rivets came out the first time I wore it. Thankfully with Zappos amazing return policy and customer service it was not a problem and I got a new pair right away. I tried a size 7 on the second pair (6.5 the first - which is what I typically am) and I felt my heel slipping even with thicker socks so for me I feel they were true to size. So I returned those and 3 has been the charm :). The first time I put them on I had a hard time with the elastic over the arch of the foot. But after the initial time I wore them they fit great. I can actually wear these all day in snow or inside. Bonus I get compliments all the time on how cute they are! I would definitely recommend these boots.

I had lowered expectations for these boots because I saw a woman at the post office in the same boots I had just ordered that day. living in Montana, I was particularly sick of slipping on ice and tired of cold feet from my leather fashion winter boots. I have tried Keens and Merrill's and both have too little, to no insulation, and the soles are worthless on ice. I asked the lady at the P.O. how she like the boots and if they were good on ice and she said they were nice and warm but terrible on ice. I recently bought an urban farm of 3.5 acres and have chickens and am splitting wood and have all sorts of chores in a foot of snow. I wanted work boots for my property and something to keep me warm in the office at work. The boots are great for urban farming in 12 " of snow and do not slip around on regular hard pack snow. I read the snow gets into these boots, but I lace them up tight with my pants tucked in and have not had problems. They are not so good on ice. Why can't they make good soles for ice? My only two complaints with these boots are: that the ankles have no support so always have a visible outer wrinkle that I feel on my ankles and is uncomfortable...and they are really hard to pull off because even with the laces completely loosened the ankles are tight. My feet are nice and warm though.

These boots are warm when moving around however I stood in snow (watching my kids sled) for about 45 minutes and my toes were cold.

Can't get my foot into the boot with socks! Way too narrow and small, in the size I have for every other pair of boots including a pair of older Sorels.

My pair of Carbou boots seem really good, they're true (-ish) to size, maybe a little roomy but I like the option to fit very thick socks. They are warm and they are waterproof. I appreciate the heavily lugged sole over other similar Sorel styles, as it's grippy. If my experience ended there, they'd get 5 stars. However, originally I bought the Sorel 1964 nylon boots, and a part of the rubber bottom was dry rotted after just a month. Sorel replaced them, thankfully. So, my Carbous are very nice, and they do the job very well. But I'm concerned about how long they'll last; based on my own Sorel experience.

I get SO many compliments on these boots when I wear them. My feet do get cold in them, but my feet get cold in everything, so I'm sure these boots will keep most feet warm! My only complaint is that they rub against my heel pretty badly, so when wearing for a long period of time it become uncomfortable. I am a true 7.5 and this style also fits perfectly in 7.5, with a little room for thick socks!!

Super cute and comfortable footbed. Moderate arch support. A bit stiff for my liking, however, and the boot comes up VERY high. Felt a little too constricted so returning and will try a shorter model.

Michigan winters are brutal and my feet get cold really easily. So I was looking for a stylish winter boot that I could wear all day that keep my feet warm no matter how cold the temperature got outside. There was a huge snowfall the day these boots were delivered so I tested them out the next day when the temperature dropped to 2 degrees. I went for a walk in the snow staying outside for about 40 minutes. I purposely wore thin socks to see how well the boot fared in cold temps: my feet stayed warm and dry the entire time and Sorel lived up to its promise. However, there was quite a bit of friction on the back of my right foot, which made the boots a bit uncomfortable. I thought maybe the boots needed to be broken in a bit, and so I wore the boot for a solid week donning thicker socks, but it still continued to rub the back of my right heel (the left boot was perfect and caused no problems though). Reading the other reviews this seems to be a common theme with these boots. However, I thought I would be one of the lucky ones and would be unaffected by this. The boots are also feel a bit clunky and weighty at times, but I believe I'll get used to it. They have zero arch support, so I will probably add an insole to them. Despite these few drawbacks, I love that they keep my feet really warm - the main reason I bought them - and I have received numerous compliments on them from complete strangers. I was also trying to choose between Sorel's Carnival boot, but I believe I made the right choice for me.

I haven't worn these out in the snow yet, but they seem very warm and I like how the tongue of the boot is sewn so there are no gaps or chance of snowing getting in through the laces. However, they are bulkier than I expected and a little hard to walk in at first, so I'm hoping I get used to them.

Really cute boot. Just too darn difficult to get on. The laces were stretched out all the way and I still had to struggle to get my foot into the boot.

These boots are stylish and functional. They are a tad bulky for driving and walking. A boot like this looks huge on a foot my size. I wear a ten and purchased a ten. No issues with the fit. My feet are very narrow and kind of flat. I live in northwest Indiana. My feet were warm enough shoveling snow and walking ,so far ,with temps in the teens (Fahrenheit). The little straps at the top do not stay snapped. I'm not sure of their purpose anyway. Other than that, they seem well made. These seem less awkward & lighter than the Joan of Arctic shearling.

These are super warm and cute boots for cold, snowy days. I got a lot of compliments and the price is very good for the quality. I suggest to go 1/2 size larger if you are going to wear thick socks. One thing I'm not too happy is that they are pretty heavy and bulky.

first of all let me say that these are not some fashion boots that girls who want to be trendy put on. these are snow boots. as such they are heavy and cumbersome. because as I said they are snow boots. they definitely keep your feet warm even in 10 degree weather. i did not try them yet in icy conditions so I don't know how they handle slippery streets. but judging how they are in snow I think they would be good. the only complaint I have is that the fur keep falling out and getting everywhere. given where it is located, the fur doesn't really serve any real purpose. it gets in the way when you put on boots and gets everywhere when you take it off and doesn't really help keep your leg warmer. if i had to choose I would get the lower sorel's with no fur.

My daughter has anywhere between a 10-1/2 to 11-1/2 size foot that is fairly narrow, so it is hard to fit. Generally in boots she wears a size 10-1/2. We ordered these boots in a size 11 as well as another pair of Sorel boots and they were both too short. She didn't like the large amount of fur on the top and thought they were bulky and heavy to regularly walk across her college campus - these are personal preferences, of course, so it may be different for other customers. The next size up would be a 12, so since that would feel even clunkier, we will be going with a different boot.

Got these last year in preparation for a bitter Chicago winter, which ultimately turned out to be not so bad. I got them in my regular size 8.5 and kept them, but they do feel a bit large when I wear them with tights. They're a heavy duty boot, so walking long distances in them is challenging, but they do keep your feet pretty warm and very dry. I usually wear them to shovel snow or to get to/from my car when at work. I actually keep a pair of flats that I change into at work, because these boots are very heavy. This year I am investing in a different style by Sorel, which I hope will provide me with the waterproofing offered by this boot, but in a lighter, more streamlined style that is more suitable for walking several city blocks without feeling like an Eskimo.

These boots are great. Super stylish on & the neutral colors they come in go well with just about everything. I went with the black pair because I think they look the sharpest and contrast with snow the best. As far as materials go they are actually super comfortable and your feet do stay warm in them. I love the fur on the top too, it adds some style to them. They are waterproof so that is a plus. I also like the rubber bottom and top portion because that will make it easy to clean! With sizing, I would definitely go with your normal size. The toe box is pretty wide, but that will allow for a nice pair of thicker socks to be enjoyed with them on. If you think you'll want to wear two pairs of socks or a super super thick pair, then i would size up 1/2 size. The only reason that i gave these boots a 4/5 stars is because there is not a size 11 1/2 in these boots. It goes from 11 to 12. I am normally a size 11 1/2. The 12 is uncomfortably a little too big and the 11 is a tad snug so with them i won't be able to wear thick socks in the 11. So, the 11 1/2 would actually be perfect for me if they made that size. Lastly, these boots will last for many years, they are very durable.

I wanted to love these because they're very stylish looking and I love my other sorrels, but these ones weren't as comfortable. There was a hard piece in the back of the shoe and it rubbed against the back of my ankle. I ended up returning them and getting a different pair.

Very cute boots and practical. Wish the fur part was detachable. I had to slit the top of the insole to make more room when putting boot on, but I have a high arch/bridge.

These look great. Fit true to size. The liner is not as comfortable as the Sorel Caribous so I got a pretty big blister on my Achilles the first time I wore them. They are getting more comfortable with more wears and thicker socks.

I love these boots. They are warm and comfortable. The color is more brown and less orange than I expected but I am glad about that. the only two things to note are that they look better on folks without wide calves and they are difficult to get off without loosening laces down to the lowest rings.
