My first pair of Sorel boots and I will never buy another brand again! Perfect for the weather here in Illinois when it goes from deep snow to water puddles. My feet stay dry and comfy all day long without being too hot. One thing I love about them is how clean they look even after being out in the snow and salt. They fit a little on the big side which works well when I want to wear thick socks. I bought my normal size.

These are attractive pack boots but they are for COLD temps and SNOW. Not for looking "cute". Order one size smaller than your normal shoe size. All my other Sorel boots I have sized up a half. You need a full size for these. Arrived two weeks before we had 11 inches of snow. Rode ATV and went sledding all day with one pair of wool socks on. NEVER got cold toes!! Large toe box allows for toe warmers if you like. My husband saw mine and remembered his pair at his parent's house from high school. He wore his all weekend too!

Living in sunny Key West, Florida, the need for snow boots are not usually needed. So a few years ago, my husband borrowed a pair of Caribou Wool Boots for a winter vacation and fell in love with them. So I bought him a pair recently and they are true to size and keep his feet warm. They should last a long time since he will only use them occasionally.

Couldn't have picked a better pair of boots for all of my needs. They are cute, warm, durable, and waterproof.

These boots offer amazing warmth, deep treads on the soles and great styling; PLUS THEYRE COMFORABLE!!
I wear work boots all day and I was skeptical when my wife ordered these. The last thing I need, is to put on "boots" at the end of my days. However, I went on a hike with these straight out of the box. The footbed is very comfortable and they're lightweight. We walked in packed snow for hours, with no foot fatigue. The soles have deep enough tread, so I was stable the entire way.
I read reviews that they ran large so I went down by a half size.

I live in Chicago, so warm boots are important. These are great in the snow and keep my feet warm and dry. Would definitely recommend them! I bought them 1/2 a size smaller based on reviews and they fit perfectly.

I've wanted a pair of caribou boots for about 30 years. They are everything I anticipated and hoped they would be but so much more! Amazingly comfortable, warm, and go great with jeans or dress pants. Sorel is a lifestyle and a statement for men who like to work hard and play hard.

I bought these to replace a 30 year old pair. Not because they wore out. They were still A1!!! I needed anew pair because they got lifted from the gym locker room. :(

I was a bit skeptical ordering these boots due to a lot of other reviews stating that they were uncomfortably big and bulky. I am so glad that I took a chance and did! I will be a Sorel customer the rest of my life. I was looking for a snow boot for Northeast Pennsylvania Poconos. I could not be more pleased with my purchase. I did size down a half size and they are a perfect fit! They are very comfortable and warm and I do not think they are unusually large or bulky. They are a snow boot. It is exactly what I expected. Workmanship is beautiful! Worth every penny! I would definitely order again and again and again!

When I bought these boots last year, I wasn't sure what to expect. Some of the reviews said they were pretty big and clunky, which is true. However, they are perfect for tromping around in the snow in any situation. They are warm and keep my feet dry. I wore them a lot last winter and I swear they still look like they're brand new. The only thing I don't like about them is that it's hard to lace the top up tight enough so if you're wearing skinny pants you might get snow in the boots. But again, they're meant for being in the snow so it's likely you'll be wearing thicker pants/layers. Just don't expect to wear them to work/class everyday!

After reading the awesome reviews about this boot, and looking to replace a pair of truly awful, not warm and uncomfortable boots... I pulled the trigger on these and was not disappointed! The price is amazing for such a high quality product. Awesome waterproof and pretty leather and warm fleecy inside... I cannot feel a hint of cold weather with these babies on my feet. I will definitely buy more of this brand knowing that the quality and description of products rings true. Like other reviewers said, this boot runs slightly large so I stepped back a half size and it fits perfect. Greatest boots ever!

My husband is in love with these boots. He was looking for a cold weather boot and I talked him into trying these. He's glad he listened to me (for once). He wanted to buy a size bigger so he could wear extra socks but I convinced him to buy his regular size telling him he wouldn't need extra socks (of course I was right again). These are great cold-weather boots.

I really splurged to get a pair of these in about 1973 to use for deer hunting. Since then I've used them every year for this, and also to get to and from work and for doing other running around during times of heavy snows. So I don't use them until conditions really call for them, which is probably one reason why they've lasted this long. I have finally worn out the original liners now, and am ordering a new set, but other than that, the only fail is that the pull loop on the back of one of the boots has broken. Even with the thick liner, I do usually use the chemical toe warmers on really cold days when sitting on a deer stand for hours, and that's fine. One smart thing I did do originally was to deliberately buy one size larger than I need so that I can wear an extra set of heavy wool socks with the boots, and still have some wiggle room for my toes. Also, I purchased them in a local boot store, and was able to try them on before I bought them.

I have a house full of boys who love winter. They are often outside in the snow either shoveling, chopping wood, walking dogs, hunting or throwing snowballs! The only boot they will wear are Sorels. Thank you for keeping my boys warm!

Purchased the boots for my fiancee and she could never be more happy, loves the look and feel of the boots, and most of all the warmth and quality, I've been a long time customer, received my first pair of Sorel's 40 years ago when I was 8 and I've never purchased another brand other than Sorel ever since.

What can I say? My Caribou boots are 35 yrs plus old. I started wearing these boots somewhere between 8-10 yrs old and now I'm in my mid 40's looking for a new pair. For the first 10 yrs of owning the boots I used mink oil 2-3 times. The craftsmanship is EXCELLENT. After all these years I replaced the liners 3x. The leather that holds the rings for lacing the boots finally gave out after all these years (these are the only things that need repair).
In all these years my feet never got wet. WOW!! The only 2 faults I can see in the boot are these 2 things: You need to try the boot on in store before ordering (boot size and feet size were very different). The second fault is warmth. The wool liners did not keep my feet warm in Minnesota winters (depending on activities or temp I always used a warmer and shoved it down into my boot).
The only real issue was the warmth. If you know that your going to be outside for an extended period and/or on the ice your going to have to do something to keep your feet warm (several layers of sox and/or a warmer).
After all these years I am now looking for another pair. I would like to try one of the pairs like the 1964 or the Pac boots but the Caribou are tried and tested. If anything lasts 30 years you would be dumb not to buy the same thing again. Sorel puts out an excellent product!
